We had some bathroom remodels done by LJ's! One a full tile shower the other a new vanity! They did an outstanding job! They were super clean and so careful not to damage anything! Very friendly, trustworthy and we will use them again and again!

When I first contacted LJ’s Handyman for a remodel project I was happy with the conversations and optimistic. They said with confidence that they would be able to do the work on the timeline. I had to work a little bit to finally get the estimate in hand more than a week later than promised, which should have been a red flag. But, they had run the numbers on the cost benefit of different types of insulation and I liked the solution they offered.

Once the contract was signed, communication became challenging on the best of days. I never received any emails back during the entire project, phone calls rarely got returned, and texts were late, short, and often filled with typos, incorrect times and dates. When subcontractors would show up to do work, they rarely had any idea of the scope of the project, forcing me to do full walk throughs of what I wanted as the end goal. Some parts of the project were ignored and never got addressed at all.

In addition to these difficulties, members of the team were rude and dismissive to my wife, treating her as if she had no knowledge or stake in the end result.

Given the apparent lack of caring to create the space that we want to live in, and the poor communication skills of the project managers, I cannot recommend LJ’s Handyman to anyone looking for a house project.

Three words that best describe LJ Handyman: Lazy, Unprofessional, and Entitled. I had a terrible experience with this contracting company.
From start to finish, they made everything harder, slower, and more complicated. The main point men on the project were fundamentally lazy, resulting in incompetence- constantly pushing work onto us as the client rather than taking ownership of the project. They never seemed to have a basic understanding of the job at hand or the end vision, which made the entire process incredibly frustrating. Communication was abysmal, and they often needed constant prompting to get anything done. Would tell us wrong dates, times, cost, would order the wrong materials, or order things that we didn’t want and we would have to pay for the materials or the restocking. Instead of providing solutions, they only created more problems. Mid way through project, because of error after error, we fired them and terminated the contract, ultimately requiring us to spend extra thousands of dollars on the completion of the project. Not having to work with these clowns was priceless.
Learn form our mistake in hiring LJ, and find anyone else.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Total waste of time and money.

Desperately needed help with my washer late Friday afternoon of Christmas week. Every appliance repair I called was unavailable until after New Year’s Day, or failed to return my call. My friend suggested I call LJ’s. I did, and I’m happy I did. Steve Hutton returned my call within an hour. He knew exactly what I was dealing with. He patiently walked me through the repair process, and within an hour of our phone chat, the situation was fixed, and we were washing and drying away our clothes before our guests arrived the next day. Thank you Steve and LJ’s! I highly recommend them both!

Save these guys to your contacts! Thank you to Steve and Wayne for Sourcing, painting and installing a new exterior door at my Mother’s house. Mom had a fall and the fire department had to breech the door to get inside to help her. LJ’s quickly responded to make sure the house was secure and take measurements. Steve found a door from Bellingham Millwork. Found the identical paint match and painted at their shop so it was all ready to be installed. Wayne was the expert installer and made quick work of the job. They work closely with Arrow lock and were able to drop off the old locks to be freshened up for replacement. The door closes and latches better than ever and it looks amazing. Thank you LJ’s for your expert service!

Had a few broken windows that needed to be boarded up while we waited for replacements at our office. Made several phone calls on a Friday, and LJ’s sent a couple of guys out to see what was needed within 45 minutes of my call! The repair was done quickly and efficiently. Will definitely recommend this company!

Professional and helpful! They fixed my gate and fence which were shoddily done by another company and then blew down in the wind. The techs were efficient and the prices were fair. Office staff was easy to work with and communicative and the work was completed promptly! I couldn't be happier with the result.

They were friendly, responsive, and made it so easy to make an appt via email. We will definitely do business with them again.

These guys are amazing! We hired them to swap out our Kitchen Faucet at first and they were so friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced that we ended up hiring them to fix our front door issue. They were able to help reset the door and ensure it closed properly and were so friendly and communicative during the process. We will be using them exclusively moving forward and I highly recommend them for any work!

I can't say enough about Lester and his team. After experiencing a leak in our upper deck that would drip into the garage for 4 years, it appears that LJ has finally repaired it successfully since we've had quite a bit of wind and rain and not seen the leak. We had several different contractors and roofers over previously and spent quite a bit of money replacing windows, patching the roof, etc. but the leak would come back once the rain and wind started.
Not only did they do a great job, the entire staff from the receptionist who answers the phone to every workman that came to the house to work on the property were pleasant, courteous, professional, and responsible. Thanks again!

LJ's delivered quality workmanship when it mattered most.
We recently bought our first home that had a basement & we needed space for our teenagers. They listened to what we wanted & gave us useful suggestions. We couldn't be happier! What started out as a single room unfinished basement is now a comfortable two bedroom and a second family room basement.
I strongly recommend & won't hesitate to call them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very unprofessional. I had to call them to find out if they could fix my problem three weeks after I had sent photos and had given a detailed explanation of the problem, only to find out that my request was still under a pile on the supervisors desk. I get it. Things get hectic, but at least give me the courtesy of a call back so that I can move on to someone else.

My garden shed was leaking and the doors needed to be replaced. Garden sheds may not be LJ's normal repair job, but they gave me a reasonable estimate. A team then repaired the windows , created a rain run off over one window, and replaced the doors. They were great at communication about the work. Also, after the replaced doors were a little sticky due to moisture, they came out to make adjustments until the doors worked. I am now really pleased with how my shed works. Thanks LJ's!

LJ Handyman is worth the wait. Any contractor that is good is BUSY. It is unrealistic to expect them to be available (especially for a large project) in a week or even in a month! (Of course, call to see what their schedule is – there may be a gap that's perfect for your project!)

In our lower floor they expanded a bathroom to add a tub/shower, split a large room into two bedrooms, and added multiple closets. This included re-drywalling/texturing, new carpet, and new paint. They also fixed a hole in the ceiling and a squeak in the floor on the main floor.

I initially called in February 2021. We had to wait until the beginning of March for them to walk the jobsite and get measurements for a bid. We received the bid at the end of March. The projected start was the end of April. The actual start was mid- May. Keep in mind they don't start the job until they are fully committed, which we appreciated.

Someone was here almost every day until the job was completed in mid-July. They were good about communication, stayed on schedule, and kept the jobsite extremely clean (see photos). They also warned us in advance they might not meet the finish deadline for our daughter and family to move in. They offered solutions to work with us after the move in (missing closet doors on backorder, trim to be installed, paint touch up).

We've had some issues with the flooring (not LJ's fault). They have been great about helping us with the problem under their warranty. Again, we can count on them to be on time and follow through with what they say they will do.

Professionalism, attention to detail, producing an excellent product – you pay for these attributes, but it is worth it! We can't say enough good things about LJ Handyman which we highly recommend. Lester is able to provide my phone number if you'd like a verbal reference to back up this review.

Hire them. It’s worth the wait.

We've used LJ's Handyman for many projects - from installing our roof-mounted basketball hoop, to securing our ceiling for an aerial yoga hammock. They are so kind and easy to work with, always on time, and do beautiful work. We felt like we had the hardest time finding a handyman service when we moved here, and I can't recommend LJ's enough!

I called on a Friday and was told to email contact info and they would schedule me for next week, Next week rolls around and nothing so I call again and same story so I waited around some more until I could/t wait any longer and called someone else. It''s clear that they cherry pick their jobs. Thanks for wasting my time = next time just ell people you aren't interested.

Steve and Shine, the two men responsible for pressure washing, installing window coverings, cleaning, replacing toilet seat, adjusting faucet, changing light bulbs in very high narrow space and fixing screens were amazing! They were efficient, kind, friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. I look forward to using their services again for refinishing my wood floor and fixing an outdoor faucet, plus some light electrical work.

LJ's handyman service did an amazing job creating custom built-ins in our home, bringing our project to life exactly as I had envisioned it. They were also super easy to work with, and helped us with some additional work outside of the scope of the original project. I really appreciated the excellent communication from the people who were working at our home, I was never left wondering about what step was next or when they would be back. We'll be working with this company again in the future!

WOW! 10/10 Recommended .... Great price, great craftsmanship, professional... they even let my dogs out to pee when I Wasn't home LOL.... . Seriously though this company can do it ALL & some... and do it with ease and professionalism, all of their workers maintain the same level of courteousness, safety and work ethic. I recommend them FOR SURE. They turned an old awful closet/film room into an AMAZINGLY spacious and pro looking FULL BATHROOM!! They also installed my dishwasher and lots of other little things in my house from flooring to drywall from retrofitting to random handy home repairs - they're my GO TO!

Great people to work with, responsive, personable. I needed an "aging in place" remodel to move my mom into my house. They started right away, good quality work, estimate accurately reflected final invoice.

Had a small job to fix gate and fence at our house. LJ was easy to deal with responsive to calls, did the job promptly. Will be doing LJ's again.

We recently used LJ Handyman to re-caulk our kitchen tile/laminate interface with optimal results. We've also used LJ for plumbing and bathroom work. It has been a tough week and the only thing that went right was LJ Handyman's Sam fixing my mailbox and he fixed it faster and better then I could have done in my youth. I'm really pleased with his work. It has been the bright spot to my week.

Highly recommend. Honest and friendly, extremely good workmanship, they show up when they say they will, complete the job when promised and communicate during throughout the process. They went above and beyond my expectations. I have already made plans to have Lester's team come back and do more work on my home. I was impressed with their range of services and they also helped me know what projects should be done in what order. I will only use this company for any home projects, big or small, they do it all.

Excellent work, great pricing, friendly and honest people. LJ and his crew have done extensive work at my house from fine wood working, flooring, plumbing, wall repairs, utility install, remodels etc... it's always quality work... they even saves one of my cupboards when I thought they had to remove it, they saved half of it to fit the other of my new dishwasher they installed.

Lester and his crew have worked on our couple of properties for about four years now. When we need something repaired or even some new construction, it is such a relief to know we're going to get a call back in a timely manner, a reasonable price and very good quality work.

I have worked consistently with Lester and LJ's over the past 5 years. They do great work that doesn't need follow up repairs or corrections. The job gets done right the first time
