Top notch! Bryant from Landmark installed a window, was adaptive to our old funky early 20th C. property, and was friendly and quick! Will hire again.

Bathroom addition in 2016 was a horrible experience for me. They quoted $14k for bathroom with no shower and $18k with shower. I paid $21k with no shower. In addition, I hauled away all of the debris. I was promised a “discount” towards the final bill it didn’t happen. Shoddy workmanship. No “Award winning” work at my house.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that the sign in front of the apartment building specifically states to "call them" in order to inquire, I didn't get a call until 1.5 days later (when I had already left town). This was my second attempt within 6 months to see an apartment building that I was interested in. The lackadaisical approach to returning my call, makes me question how they would handle tenant issues.

We brought Landmark in after our first "budget" contractor proved hollow and ghosted us after the framing phase was complete. Landmark came in and provided some much-needed structure and discipline to our project and quickly got us back on-track. Simply put, they plan their work and work their plan.

Communication was excellent, and craftsmanship was amazing across the board -- we are thrilled with our luxury bathrooms and classy laundry room. And our favorite feature, a 70's style laundry chute connecting the bathrooms to the laundry room below, is super cool.

Our only regret was not going with Landmark in the first place -- they do high quality work, on time and on budget. We lost money and time on the "budget option". These guys are true professionals, up and down the organization including their select pool of contractors.

We recommend Landmark 100%, and will be bringing them back to reface our kitchen cabinets next.

We worked with Landmark to design and build our home on acreage in Whatcom county. We're very happy with the result, both the design and the building of that design and appreciate Landmark's work to make that happen. Throughout the process, they listened and addressed our concerns while still injecting their knowledge to make sure the final result was the best possible.

We worked with Landmark to build our garage ADU in 2019. After interviewing half dozen different local builders/contractors, we selected Landmark because Marinus demonstrated a deep understanding of how we wanted to approach the project.

We could not have been more pleased with each step along the way, from design decisions to cost transparency to timely communications. We worked most closely with Christopher, who managed the day to day with skill and professionalism, bringing an ineffable mixture of calm and compelling pro activity.

We highly recommend the Landmark team and would certainly use them again.

Landmark has completed a number of projects for me since 2004, on both my residence and rental property. The feedback I get is always good. Their design work is a treasure. A large enough company to have depth of knowledge and longevity of employees, Landmark is still small enough so that I don't feel like a number. When I spend the kind of money these projects require - it helps to have an enjoyable working experience where I feel listened to and valued. They also stand by their work and if anything needs a fix, they make it right.

We could not be happier with the work Landmark did for us. The stairs in our 115 year old home were small, inconsistent and dangerous. I was always hesitant to replace them, because nothing is square in old houses, and you never know what structural issues you might find behind the walls. Marinus came out and sketched out a few different options, and gave us confidence that his carpenters had the skill and experience to do the job.

I could write a lot more, but here are some things I really appreciated when working with Landmark:

- They made suggestions for options that we could do ourselves to save money on the project (some deconstruction and finish work). They were happy to do the work, but wanted to give us the option to save some $$$.
- The main carpenter who did the work, Shawn, was knowledgeable and friendly, and worked around our inconsistent schedules.
- Excellent communication all around. We were consulted on any design questions and unexpected issues along the way.
- The final project cost was well within the original estimate.

The photos speak for themselves. The original brown, small rickety steps transformed into the beautiful full-sized, sturdy fir staircase that blends seamlessly with the house aesthetic.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
