When choosing a deck company, you’re never sure what you’re going to get. Like all projects, I had three quotes. Lenzi, by far was the most professional, on time, and organized.

We had a fantastic experience with Lenzi Construction from first meeting through finished project.Stephen and his crew are true craftsmen, they take amazing pride in their work. The attention to detail is like nothing we’ve ever experienced with a contractor. The materials they use are top notch, Stephen has high standards. He is honest and up-front about pricing, very easy to reach with questions. He was also on-site, hands-on in the hot sun with the crew most days, very engaged in managing the project. Not just the guy that gives the quote and the plan and you never see him again.

They took down our old dilapidated deck and built an entirely new structure, we wanted to add a screened in porch to this deck as well. Stephen analyzed the space and how our house was situated and came up with what turned out to be a perfect space. They did the work in late Summer 2023, during what turned out to be the hottest summer in years. This did not stop them or impact quality in any way.

In working with other contractors in recent times it’s been very hit or miss, and there is always some level anxiety about having work done to your home. But this experience was refreshing, it’s awesome to watch trades people work, when you can clearly tell they care about the finished product. We unequivocally recommend Lenzi Construction, we plan to use them again on another project in the future!

Stephen and Lenzi Construction did an amazing job from quote to finish on our new deck. Unlike other contractors who scribbled a quote on the back of a business card, Stephen was able to give us a line-by-line estimate and timeline for our install. Stephen kept us in the loop throughout weather and supply delays, and once his team was on site, they worked quickly to complete our deck. To top it all off, they left the worksite as clean as it could possibly be in between shifts and after the last piece of fascia went up. Needed to replace a very large 17 year old pressure treated deck. Reached out to a bunch of companies in the area and two reasons locked up my decision to go with Lenzi.
First was the extreme professionalism. From the first phone call to the clean up at the end, this company has their customers interests as their top priority. Stephen was very responsive and knowledgable whenever I would call or email with questions and concerns. Usually within a few hours I would have an answer back. Other companies I had reached out to would not show up to appointments, not call you back, make promises they don’t keep. When you’re trying to pay someone thousands of dollars for a project, you shouldn’t have to be hounding them. That’s a sign to move on. That was never an issue with Lenzi.
The second reason I chose Lenzi was that they use a steel frame deck over pressure treated wood. I don’t want to keep replacing something every 10-15 years when it rots out. This steel frame is going to outlast the house it’s attached to.
I couldn’t be happier with how the deck came out as well as the overall positive experience. Don’t waste your time calling around, just go with these guys first.

We cannot say enough good things about Ed and his crew at Lenzi construction. We used him to replace our old and falling down front porch and they truly knocked it out of the park. During the estimate he listened to my ideas and offered suggestions that I wasn't even thinking about. We knew we had a smaller project and had trouble getting people to even take it, but Ed treated us like we were putting in a multi-level rear deck with all the options. will definitely be using them again to replace our other deck.

5 STARS! I knew found the right contractor when I reviewed Ed's quote. It was detailed without being overly complicated. It described exactly what was going to be done, listed the types of materials to be used and laid out the payment terms. There were no surprises and no hidden fees. As a contractor myself this was good sign.

I stll can't believe how much I LOVE our new deck! It's been three weeks since Ed Lenzi and his amazing crew built our deck, and I know we're going to love it forever.

Ed came by this spring to help us design a new deck that feels more part of the backyard in a way I'd never imagined before. We use the back deck entrance every day, and this new design is so welcoming and stylish.

Ed and his crew built us a steel frame with Fiberon decking boards, and the quality is just superb. The crew were friendly, and worked tirelessly on a 90 degree day. I can't say enough about their work ethic!

After the project was complete, I wanted to make a change. Not wanting to be the homeowner from hell, I was nervous about approaching Ed with my idea. I need not have worried. Ed returned my call immediately, agreed with the idea, and scheduled time to come and make the addition.

If you are considering a new deck, in my mind, Ed and his team are the best choice! From start to finish, the process was easy, and their work is simply impeccable.

We cannot say enough good things about Lenzi Construction! We had originally reached out to them after seeing some of their work online. Ed responded immediately, and made an appointment to come over and provide an estimate. Ed spent a lot of time talking to us to make sure not only that he understood what we wanted, but that we understood the process, what our options were and when we had to decide (for things like the lighting and a gate). We promptly received a written proposal that was very detailed and thorough and, quite frankly, much more professional that what we had received from others we considered. The quickly signed and got on the schedule. We were also fortunate that another customer canceled and we soon got moved up on the schedule. Everything went as planned as far as delivery of materials, demolition of our old deck, and construction of the new deck.
We replaced our 25-year-old pressure-treated 12’x12’ deck with a composite 16’x14’ composite deck which includes a 6’ privacy wall on one side to give us the additional separation from the neighbors that we really needed. The crew was polite and professional and was also very thorough in cleaning up every day, which was very important to us since we have several dogs. The deck is beautiful and we could not have asked for a better overall experience. I cannot recommend Lenzi Construction highly enough.

To find a contractor to remove my old dilapidated and sagging deck, and to build a new state-of-the-art replacement deck, I Google Searched “best deck contractor near Lowell, MA”. Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews, but this company truly deserves recognition for the job they did for us. We hired Lenzi’s to build a new deck off the back of our garage after talking to a couple of other contractors. Their pricing was in line with our other quotes, but what made us chose to move forward with them was their responsiveness, knowledge and quick availability/turn around time. From start to finish, it was a smooth and easy process. We received a contactless quote via emailed images (which, as a mom of 3 small kids, made step 1 of the hiring process 100x easier to not have to drag my kids out in the cold to chat about our plans). The deck was built in 3 days start to finish (12’x30’, plus railings and a privacy wall) and the 3 men working our project were extremely tidy and always happy to say hello to my kids watching through the window. I will absolutely be hiring Lenzi’s for any future projects and can’t over emphasize how beautifully our deck turned out. If you’re looking for quality work, you’ll find it here.

We hired Lenzi Construction & Remodeling to tear down our old deck and build a bigger, Composite one. We first decided to go with Ed based on his responsiveness and highly detailed estimate. It was a good sign! Some companies will just throw out numbers over the phone, and sometimes, won't even call you back even after you've shown interest in possibly moving forward.

With Lenzi you get a very detailed estimate, and he's incredibly quick at making changes. We changed our minds on a few things like three or four times and each time, Ed was extremely fast at providing an updated estimate. I don't know how he does it. Even in the middle of the day when they're working on other projects, Ed will get right back to you. He's very organized and never forgets a thing.

And they're fast! They got rid of our old deck and built our new 400 square-foot one in about four days. And it looks awesome!

My wife and I love our new deck! Amazing describes both the craftsmanship and service provided by Ed and Bryan. Ed is well prepared, having nearly instant responses with detail changes in the quote. His steel deck came in less than it would have cost to expanded and re-deck our original wood deck. Ed kept us informed and was communicative along the whole process. They were respectful of our property as we just had an adjacent patio installed, which included regrading and seeding of the lawn. Best of all, Ed and Bryan are great with follow-up questions and post-project issues. Ed and I made a decision mid-project that turned out to be a not-so-good idea. Made the call and Bryan was over within a week to change it. We look forward to our next remodel project with these guys!

Normally I don't have the great luck with contractors, but that wasn't the case this time around. Ed and Brian installed a new composite deck and screen house for me over the past two weeks.. we couldn't be happier. Lenzi Construction built our 16x22' steel beam composite board deck and stairs with a drainage system to keep underneath dry. Ed himself was a pleasure to get to know, he is truly a very knowledgeable professional.
The build was really fast taking only about a week, the permitting process was the worst, Tewksbury is to blame on that end. Ed helped us through it despite their unreasonable demands. The end result is beautiful and exactly what we wanted.
The process could feel a little rushed, but that is only because they are a well oiled machine. The work is high quality, we had a few joints that did not fit together tightly so just filled them with silicone. Being a steel deck some of the railing posts wiggle a little and the deck itself has some bounce when walking around (if your considering steel vs wood). We believe the minor differences are still worth the longer life span of steel. We spent 2 days cleaning adhesive residue off of the balusters, why the manufacturer provides them this way confuses us all!
We originally reached out to Lenzi due to his great reviews online and wanting to support local small business. We chose Ed because he is an experienced builder who takes great pride and care in his work and customers. He is one of the very few builders who is current with the latest advancements and technology. We wanted superior options like steel framing, under deck drainage, and helical piles, Ed delivered. Getting a commercial style build in a residential setting is fantastic. If you want the job done right the first time go with Lenzi, we look forward to working together again and refer Lenzi to all!

We hired Ed to replace our existing pressure treated deck with a fiberon deck and 3 season porch. Ed was there and personally oversaw all aspect of the project from demo through window installation. When searching reviews of contractors and other service providers, we all seek the same thing—someone who will provide good service and whom we can trust. When fortunate, we’ll find someone who is notably above the norm. In finding Ed Lenzi and his company, Lenzi Construction, we were beyond extraordinarily lucky. Ed is, without question, the best there is at what he does. (Read on for specifics; see the picture.)
From the start (when we met with Ed), it was clear that he was very knowledgeable about the work he does and service he provides, and was very focused on what we wanted in our kitchen renovation/remodeling project. He provided excellent advice, which aided us greatly in making the best decisions on the work to be done. We knew we had found someone who would be a true partner in this project—who, during the planning stage, was more concerned with our interests and expectations, than his own. Someone also very concerned with satisfying his inner standard of excellence, as well as that of his customers.
Once we hired Ed and his company, he was regularly in touch and was never more than moments away, via a call, email, or text, when we had questions or concerns. As stated, a true partner with us, which was important in light of the scale of this project.
Once we all agreed on the best plan for the project, Ed directed us to his exceptional supporting suppliers: Karen of Friend Lumber (who was responsible for the actual kitchen design (using input from Ed and us) and assisted us in cabinetry selection); Ripano Stoneworks (responsible for assisting with granite selection and layout as well as installation, which was executed exceptionally by Fernando and his crew); and Nashua Tile (Brian), for the tile and backsplash. Clearly, the best attracts the best!
Once the project actually started, Ed was onsite from demolition through to completion, which went quickly and efficiently. Again, we were extremely fortunate—Ed was available to work directly on our project as a craftsman and carpenter, along with Bob, a stellar carpenter, who works with Ed. The best only hires the best!
