We had some discoloring on the wall in our bedroom that we weren’t sure if it was mold or not. Jack was great!! He was on time, did a thorough inspection and explained everything clearly to me. It turned out not to be mold in his opinion but he told me exactly how to clean it if it was. I can appreciate someone who doesn’t want to charge you for something you could very easily handle yourself. It gave me such peace of mind since we have two kids running around. I would definitely use him in the future if we need to and I’d recommend him to anyone.

I had a radon test done since it hadn’t been done in long time. It came back higher than normal levels. I called numerous Radon meditation services in Massachusetts and NH. Some even didn’t call me back which I was surprised at. I went with Jack at Household Environmental because they install the electrical versus a separate contractor coming out. All the companies that called me back didn’t do the electrical. The price was also competitive because it would have cost me more to get an electrician to come out. Jack ended up, squeezing me in to his very busy schedule Earlier than anticipated. Super nice family owned company that I would highly recommend. A++

I had household environmental install a radon system. I had very high readings of maybe 35pc/l on the first floor, 65 in the basement. It was a very tight installation as I wanted to keep space for eventual basement access. The team came up with a creative solution to squeeze the system into the basement amongst the other systems. I was also sensitive to the exterior position of the pump. They placed it into a nice tidy corner and it wasn’t as ugly as it could have been. Other companies suggested some fairly ugly solutions. I was just super happy with how it went.
Oftentimes installers will just say it can’t be done. The team really took extra time, and didn’t give up. A heartfelt thanks for the effort!

We were in need of an attic insulation upgrade for our older Cape. When they came out to asses our home, they noticed some mold in the attic. The insulation company put us in touch with Household Environmental.

Jack came out to have a look, and called my attention to some ventilation issues in the attic. It turned out that we needed more than just the mold remediation. But Jack had both an electrician and a roofer that he frequently contracted with, and it made sense to go with the whole package, so to speak.

We needed a couple of gable fans, and Jack was able to source a version that could be controlled with an app from a phone.

Household Environmental pulled together all of the different aspects of this project, while communicating all the details along the way. Once the attic ventilation had been addressed, they came out and quickly did their work to remove the mold. Then we were able to proceed with the air sealing and insulating.

Household Environmental was a great choice. Jack returned my call the day that I left a message, very prompt. Set up a day that was convenient for me to assess my issue in the attic and give me an estimate. Jack is very professional and just a great person. I was happy with the quote and scheduled the work. His crew was phenomenal, meticulous and enjoyable to deal with. Unfortunately, some of the tape used to hold up there plastic enclosure, when it was removed pulled some of the paint off my wall. Hardly noticeable, but needed to be repaired. I called Jack, he definitely was concerned and wanted to remedy the situation ASAP. He suggested several options, I picked having my own painter, Jack cut me a check for the painters bill. That’s a stand up person and company! I have recommended Household Environmental to several people, First Class Operation!

Jack came out and evaluated the attic. After looking at everything determined that we did indeed have mold in the attic. We scheduled a time for the mold remediation and it lasted about four hours and was flawless and smooth and a better experience than I expected. The workers were professional, cleaned up after and were very courteous. Would highly recommend.

The interior main water line valve, located in the master bedroom closet, let go. It flooded the closet with my wife's clothes and the carpet in the master bedroom. It spread into the living room, closet, and laundry room before I could locate the shut-off from the street.

It was early on a Saturday afternoon, and every appliance repair company was closed until Monday . By sheer luck, I found Household Environmental and hit the jackpot. We purchased a new property and had some mold identified in the inspection, Household Environmental really put our nerves at ease by coming out conducting a survey of it and providing not only a great quote but also recommendations of fixing our ridge vent in the roof so that this doesn’t happen again.
