I really do not like blasting businesses online, especially local companies. We contacted Lane Roofing to come and fix a roof that was not done correctly the first time. The owner (Josh) came out and met my husband to go over a quote and what work would be accomplished. The team arrived on a cold February day to tear off a shingle roof and lay the “proper roof” the next day it snowed and the roof remained covered in snow for about 10 days, when it cleared we noticed ripples in the roof and reached out to ask about it (this was middle of march) we were told that Josh himself would come out and check. Never heard from him. About April we noticed the corner pulling up (we have a good view from our bedroom) we again reached out directly to the company and never heard nor did anyone stop by. They requested payment and again we explained the issue which has never been addressed. Finally yesterday someone came out to assess and then quickly left. That raised my concern so I went and looked in the eaves to see water damage and mold from their work. We were then accused of hitting the corner of the roof with something. Never happened. This has been a battle for 6 months, we now have mold and MORE damage than we started with. We attempted to call the company and have them resolve it, but ended up being yelled at, even though we are extremely upset and pisses off that we have damage to our home from this company. The only way to ever get this fixed is to take it to social media, I will be looking into their insurance as well as their licenses. I will not have my home destroyed by a “local” company and then berated and yelled at. We also paid $400 for the fascia and soffit boards, quality work right there. Lane Roofing

Had a great experience with Lane Roofing for my home in Mont Vernon New Hampshire. The team showed up to the job site on time and replaced a large residential roof in one 8-hour the day. The clean up of the worksite was thorough and they left our yard the way they found it. The roof itself looks great and I was impressed at how safe the team was. All employees on the roof were wearing safety harnesses and were tied in. This shows me that they care about their employees and speaks to their attention to detail. Pricing was very competitive and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to replace a roof in my area.

We recently hired Lane Roofing to complete a full roof replacement on our home using Owens Corning Architectural Shingles. In addition to the roofing work, they also replaced all our shutters and wrapped all existing pine trim in custom-fabricated aluminum coverings.

I recently hired Lane Roofing to install a new roof on my home and I’m so glad I did! From my initial inquiry to the completion of the job, the communication was spot on and their responses were almost immediate. When I was unsure of the color of shingles I wanted, Josh sent me a comprehensive list of homes in my area that they did with various shingle colors to help me make a decision. A few days before the installation, they dropped off a dumpster and a pallet of products. On installation day, the team showed up prepared at 7am. The foreman for my job, Rob, came to the door, explained what they were going to do and asked if I had any questions. They proceeded to tarp off my entire home and got to work. They left at about 5pm and again, Rob came to the door and explained how everything went. The cleanup was perfect! No nails or other debris found on the ground. They picked up the dumpster the next day and followed up with an email to ask if I was happy with the results. If you are on the fence, do yourself a favor and hire Lane. Lane Roofing was excellent. Josh Lane was very responsive, they had a great price and the crew did an exceptional job of removing 2 layers of shingles, installing new roof and clean-up.

Received quotes from several companies. One was so ridiculously high it had to be a joke. Lane was a recommendation, and a great one. Troy and the crew were here today ready to start the job at 7 am. Found a few issues removing the old roof that weren’t as bad as first thought. The crew handled all well and even fixed a piece of siding for us. Gutters were cleaned!! Job took 8 hours, and you wouldn’t know they were there. Yard is cleaner than when they showed up and not one plant was harmed. Would definitely recommend. No hard sell. Honest price for a quality job!!! Thank you!!

Getting a new roof for your house can be a stressful event, but Lane Roofing made the process easy. I appreciated the open communication between Josh and all members of their team. The roofing team removed the existing roof, installed the new roof and cleaned up within a 6 hour window. Also, they did a great job with clean up and protecting the scrubs and outdoor items. I have not really found any nails around the house, which is great. The new roof looks great with solid craftsmanship and looking forward to another 30 years before the next roof!!

Big shout out to Lane Roofing! We had quoted several well known roofers and they came in SIGNIFICANTLY less! Apples to apples same service and products ..Project Manager Troy and crew were here first thing. An hour into removing existing roof we discovered my husband and I ordered the wrong color shingles! Within an hour Troy removed and replaced several tons of shingles without skipping a beat! At the end of the day, other than a beautiful new roof, you would never know they were even here! They even go over your whole lawn and driveway with rolling magnets to make sure no nails are left behind. Great service. Great price..Highly recommend!

They were amazing from start to finish! They came out to look at my house and gave me a great quote within days of calling them. Everything happened quickly and they were very helpful picking out colors and discussing options, and even talked me into a different color that I was thankful for once I saw the final results. Review for Lane Roofing – Our Experience

We hired Lane Roofing to replace the roof on our home in January 2024. What started with high hopes quickly turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience that we feel compelled to share.

We had three layers of roofing (including a metal roof installed by previous owners) and two chimneys—one of which was no longer in use. Lane Roofing offered to remove the unused chimney and assured us that the multiple layers and prior damage wouldn’t be a problem. We pointed out active leaks, and they promised these issues would be resolved with the new roof.

Unfortunately, that was not the case.

Installation & Cleanup Issues

The roof was installed in the middle of winter with snow on the ground. After the work was completed, we were left with nails, old shingles, and roofing debris all around our property. They assured us they’d return in the spring to clean it up. When they finally did, the “cleanup” consisted of a worker using a leaf blower to blow debris off our deck—only to scatter it all over our yard. We have a 3-year-old child who plays outside, so we ended up collecting over 200 nails and hundreds of roofing fragments ourselves to keep our property safe.

Ongoing Leaks & Poor Follow-Up

After the first fall snowstorm, the roof began leaking again—this time in our mudroom. Lane Roofing blamed the unused chimney and told us to install a cap and seal the edges. We did. It leaked again. When they came to inspect it, one of their workers (caught on our Ring camera) mocked the chimney cap we installed and wrapped the chimney in a trash bag. Unsurprisingly, that didn’t work either.

Eventually, they suggested the issue was due to poor airflow caused by insulation, and promised a follow-up plan. However, when I called back to confirm, the owner Josh Lane berated me over the phone—claiming we were ungrateful and costing him money. He said they would no longer assist us and shifted all blame to the insulation, recommending we hire someone else.

Final Thoughts

We were promised a leak-free roof. We paid for a leak-free roof. But we still have a leaking roof and now damaged walls inside our home from water seeping in. The customer service, communication, and professionalism from Lane Roofing have been extremely disappointing.

If you expect a company to stand by their work and address issues responsibly—Lane Roofing is not it. Once they’re paid, you’re on your own. We wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. After reviewing other recent posts and seeing others post with similar issues. The contract that you pay says 100% guaranteed satisfaction. However my wife daughter and I were left with promises, told that they would do things to fix the issues and told that we wouldn’t have any further issues. Not only does Josh Lane lie, I I have recordings of him accusing me of calling him out on his lies and yelling/swearing at me for it. I have since then had an insurance claim adjuster look at our house for the damage. He said he has been inspecting houses for over 40 years for high end insurance companies and unfortunately he has been seeing this issue a lot more. With New Englands weather lots more roofing companies are popping up and taking advantage of people. He said what Lane roofing has done to our roof is sad and embarrassing. He also said if I was a roofer I would be disappointed at the quality that they did, it isn’t the worst he has seen but very close to it.

Great communication, professional work, and everything was done within the timeline and quote provided. A well done job all the way around.

I reached out to Josh at Lane Roofing a little while ago for a quote for his team in install a new roof. The quote came back quickly and was fair. There was no pressure from Josh, just a simple; "Let me know if you have any questions". A little time had passed, and I decided to go ahead and have the roof done. The morning of the install I received an email from the driver who had the container for the soon to be old roof letting me know he would arrive soon. I own a Christmas Tree farm and I had to have my roof done before my busiest day the day after Thanksgiving. Lane was supposed to start on Tuesday but it was rained out. They came on Wednesday morning. They dropped a dumpster, fully tarped my house, stripped the whole thing of 2 layers and put it all back including a 5 square flat dormer all in 1 day. 33 square of shingles 5 square of flat roof, 8 skylights, 2 dormers and 2 , 16 foot step flashed cheeks. They even installed new lead flashing around my chimney. Not a mail to be found. Steady rain all day the next day and not a drip!! They charged me exactly what they quoted me which was extremely fair. Thanks Lane !!

I had Josh come out to give me a quote to replace my roof. He was very professional and on time. He was happy to answer any and all questions I had. I decided to have Lane roofing replace my roof. The dumpster was dropped off and the driver had great communication with me on his arrival, location of the dumpster etc. Josh’s team completed replacing my entire roof in less than 6 hours. i paid for a new roof and less than 8 months later a section of plywood collapsed and started linking, so he came out and patched my roof, then it started leaking a 2nd time, so he had to came out a 2nd time . So, I spent all that money for a patched roof.

Lane roofing was able to provide me a great roof at a great price, their employees and the key people I spoke to were knowledgeable and pleasant and I’m very happy I went to them for my roof replacement. What prevented me from giving a 5 star review was the communication, I first got an email saying I was on the schedule for Veterans Day, I made preparations and they did not show up. I emailed and did not receive a reply but chalked it up to an error with the holiday and I expected them the next morning. The next morning I made preparations again, but received an email reply letting me know that I was instead scheduled for Friday. Thursday I got a text letting me know a dumpster was arriving roughly 10 minutes before it arrived ( it would have been good to know ahead of time) and Friday they arrived in the afternoon to complete the roof. I think they did a really good job for a fair price but I do wish the communication was more proactive on the schedule changes as well as the time of day to anticipate their arrival.

Did not take the sit down at the kitchen table and discuss approach that some of the other companies took when getting quotes. Got the quote to us within a day or two, and although it took a week or so to get a date on the schedule, was very responsive to texts and informative about when we would get a new roof. Actually shifted up a few days on the schedule, materials were dropped off one day, dumpster the next, and new roof on the third day. Very quick process (arrived at 7am, out by 3pm), clean up was very good (only found a few nails, which was expected given wind and all the leaves down). Even took an old DirectTV dish down that we no longer needed). Would 100% recommend Lane for new roof.
