Legit Exteriors is highly rated and I did my research and they have definitely earned this standing (check out the state's contractor website). I almost considered a company that had their license suspended.

The best part in dealing with Legit was working with Rian their sales representative. I wish Rian could be cloned so more companies could have his commitment of professionalism and knowledge. He's not out to just sell, he genuinely wants customers to understand their opinions while providing extremely competitive pricing. Great to work with from the start. Rian was awesome. He was on the roof of a neighbor's preparing to give a bid. I asked if he could come over and give us one as well. He gave us a very fair price. Explained what was included, what it would cost if they found any bad sheets of plywood, included 4 sheets of plywood in the bid since he said that is the average of what most jobs require. He explained the warranty choices, color options, etc. After driving to a couple of houses in the neighborhood to look at their roof's that had been done by Legit Exteriors, we wanted a color sample. Ryan dropped it off the next day and we made our selection.
We were scheduled out about 10 weeks. I got a call from David at Legit Exteriors and everything was on time as scheduled. The tear off and installation took about a week.The crew was absolutely awesome, very hard working.Very respectful of property. They showed me several places with dry rot. They got the change order and didn't miss a beat. Everything done very quickly and seemlessly.
I heard from David at Legit Exteriors 3 times during the week. He was just checking to make sure we were happy with everything. Communication was absolutely great.
I did find one thing that was initially missed, as soon as I called David back and explained what it was he got the crew back out here and they fixed it in about 2 hours. It was a piece of facial that needed to be replaced and was in the quote.
After everything was done I talked to the project manager Sawyer and got the information of where to send the final payment.
I have already recommended them for another job and will recommend them for future jobs. Great communication all the way around, very easy to work with and the work was absolutely fantastic. Roof is beautiful.

I recently requested a bid for a roof replacement, and Legit Exteriors promptly returned my call and set up an appointment that worked for me, to come out and inspect the roof and attic.
John came to my house and was right on time. He presented an impressive bid at a fair price, even with the added complication of solar panels and a skylight. I was very much impressed with the quality of the materials and he gave me a lot of good information and did not pressure me. He was clearly very knowledgeable and was thorough and thoughtful. We’ve met with four roof contractors, and Rian at Legit is far and away the best. He was friendly, easy going, and just handed us his very reasonable quotes at the end with no pressure. He left an informative pamphlet, and was very up front and honest about what would work best for us. We haven’t moved forward yet, but we had another contractor come by the same day and they were almost impossible to remove from our house, droning on for over three hours. We told them multiple times that we were just collecting quotes and they wouldn’t take no for an answer. But Rian at Legit actually left me feeling happy and excited about roofing, of all things. He is in a different league than these exhausting car salesman-types and I highly recommend Legit solely based on our one hour meeting with him!

From the initial sales consultation through the end of the roof install, all interactions were professional, transparent, thorough, and courteous. Rian answered all of our questions succinctly on the front end, and having received four other bids up to that point, we felt we were getting an extraordinary value for a 50-year roof.

The owner Dave was highly communicative throughout the entire process as he came on-site to take measurements, texted me a link to a photo history of the crew’s work, and followed through with installing free gutter downspouts as well. He also connected me with his roof and gutter cleaning business who will maintain the roof. This was a true one-stop concierge service for everything we needed including a couple new windows.

The price was by far the best I was able to find and absolutely no loss in quality. The roof was put on my garage and some rot was found on one of the rafters which the crew came up with a clever repair that cost me nothing additional and looks seemless. RIAN GROENER and his team did a wonderful job replacing our roof! Legit Exteriors is an honest, fair and efficient company. They senwt photos daily of what the damages were to our roof, and also the daily progress. They cleaned up when finished, used a huge magnet to make sure any stray nails were picked up. Legit Exteriors also showed us the surplus supplies,and credited that back to our account....they could have kept it and not said anything,but they were HONEST, and credited back to us the amount of the surplus. High HIGHLY recommend RIAN GROENER and his team for your roof repairs. Oh, and my neighbor who went with a different company, paid 3 times more than we did for the same roof repair....very competitive in their pricing, and will help with financing :)

Had to replace our roof and they were quick to respond. Not the best price but quick to start the job and did what they said they would in the time they quoted. Workers were on time and cleaned up they area each day. When problems were found while removing old shingles they contacted me quickly and stopped working until a new plan was in place with our approval. Found them to be honest, (thought all the plywood would need to be replaced but only needed replaced on one side) last company 20 years ago didn't do a very good job and have had problems, but this roof works great so far and looks very nice. Would use them again, but with this new roof doubt we will need to call them as long as we live here.

The sales person, Ashman, was very personable and professional. He had a depth of knowledge that made buying experience feel safe and comfortable as well as us now having a better understanding of our own roof. We would highly recommend this business to anyone in the market for roofing needs.

The crew arrived as promised and did a great job. The roof shingles were not coming off easy, however they stayed with it until the roof was well prepared for the new shingles. The worked until almost dark. The next day the job was finished before noon. Everything was picked up in a tidy fashion. All of the crew were very polite and helpful. The bid to do the roof was fair and using good quality products. All my questions were answered and a professional contract was drawn up to both of our satisfaction. The most important piece is that the roof looks teriffic.

These guys were fabulous. I was a bit hesitant due to all the rain we've been having lately. However, once the process was explained to me by the project manager I was more than confident my home would be protected. The finished product is beautiful. The ridge caps are definitely what make my roof pop out compared to my neighbors roofs. Thanks Legit.

On day one of reaching out to Legit for roof replacement, I mentioned I don't want the work to be done during rains and I reiterated it when I signed the contract. However, they keep calling me to schedule on the days forecasting wet weathers and saying if you don't take this time slot you may need to wait for another month. Actually it's fine with me. Eventually, we agreed to start the work as we see 2-day sunny window and they told me the work should be done in 2 days. At the end of day 2, I texted them to confirm if they can finish by end of day 3 because it's just about half done. The reply is "it should be close". The night of day 3 had pouring rain with roof still not done. Day 4, the roofers still came to finish up the work (including ridge vents installation) even it's pouring rain. Two things worries me. Legit don't care about the safety of their roofers and they don't care about the quality of the roof installation. I feel they don't care about customer's feeling. Eventually, it took 4.5 days to wrap up whole project and the dump truck sits on my drive way for 6 days. Maybe this is one off by looking at some many "good reviews" but they totally lost my trust.

We haven't had our roof done yet, but the inspection/quote process went well. The rep was on time and curteous. The presentation of materials used and process surprised me. I wasn't expecting that and was very impressed. I have yet to have another company do this. I have had many additional questions in the past week and the rep has been quick to answer all my questions. I will be sure to update if we choose Legit Exteriors for our roofing needs.

Legit did a great job with my new roof 6 years ago so when it was time for siding, windows and gutters I came back! Ethan Bell was very knowledgeable and helped me understand how to navigate the sales and ordering process. He was so patient, spent a lot of time with me and consistently asked if I had any more questions. My project is due to start in 4-6 weeks... I'll circle back when it's complete!

Just a word of caution, get quotes from other companies. I'll give Legit Exteriors the benefit of the doubt, maybe they are primarily a roofing company and maybe my experience came down to the sales rep that worked with me. I had them look at our house for a siding project. The rep said the whole house needed to be done (not just the "bad" side) and basically wouldn't leave until we agreed to sign a contract. I wanted a second opinion and got a different siding contractor to come out, who said only one side was bad and gave me a quote nearly half the price of Legit Exteriors. They tried to justify their high price by saying that they are James Hardie certified and that certification demands a price set by the manufacturer. But so was the other contractor and he still gave me a fair price. It could very possibly be the sales rep I worked with (hence 3-stars instead of a lower review), but encourage anyone to get competitive bids.

Chris and Zach came out today. Inspected my roof. Showed me the issues. They were awesome and I can’t wait to see my new roof once it’s installed. Really love the new roof Chris was awesome workers were on time except when weather prohibited I would definitely recommend this company. You got a good employee with Chris at the helm

Legit roofing did an excellent job putting on a new roof for our home. The quote was extremely competitive, and Chris our sales person was knowledgeable and patient. Josh made sure all of our questions and calls got put through right away, and was an amazing liaison!! David one of the crew supers was on every little detail, and made sure everything done was picture perfect. Our crew was amazing, they cleaned up every night before going home taking special care to keep our dogs safe from nails, staples and sharp objects. The crew always had a smile on their faces, and were super helpful with questions as well. Legit went ABOVE AND BEYOND and they score a perfect 10 for a job done with excellence and care!! Thank you Legit!!!

The new roof is done and looks great! No issues with the work itself, the installers did a good job cleaning everyday. The only issue is the communication from the office about when the project would start.
If you're mostly home and readily available then it's fine but if you're taking time of work it would be a problem. Shoot for the dry months for replacement. For about 3 weeks we got excuses as to why they couldn't start, ie; some materials haven't arrived, but we were told that on the day it was supposed to start; it's raining, they're behind from another job.
I would recommend Legit Exteriors for the quality workmanship.
Hopefully the communication issue is a one-time thing, or maybe it's just the person we dealt with?

Our roof replacement is scheduled 10-12 weeks out so no actual work has been performed but, right off the bat meeting with sales rep Chris S was fantastic. He was polite, clean and professional. He gave us a fair bid and was great with follow-up questions, which we had lots of. Can't wait for the new roof. Will update once the work is completed. I would recommend getting a quote from Legit Exteriors for roofing needs.

I talked to Chris tonight about my roof, I was happy that he was able to come by on my schedule. He was extremely knowledgeable and had some great suggestions for what I am looking for.

Legit installed a roof in 2019 before I purchased the home. The smart vent system made by Owens Corning was included, but the system doesn't work due to air flow blockage verified by several roofing companies. Legit has refused to honor their workmanship warranty, go through the procedure for disputes in their contract, or to reimburse for the cost of necessary repairs. I do not recommend this company!

Chris was professional and knowledgeable and provided me with different options and price points for my roof installation. The high end products & materials, color & style choices, and unbeatable warranties made Legit Exteriors stand out as the premier company for roof replacement. Chris was also able to diagnose issues with my current solar tube and it will be conveniently replaced at the time of installation. I’m looking forward to having the smart venting to keep my attic space & garage cooler in the summer. The deco ridge tiles also give it aesthetically pleasing details. I highly recommend this company and look forward to posting the photos of the completed project!

Professional and courteous staff. Chris was very accurate and knowledgeable, gave me a reasonable quote. I am in the 1st stage of the process, yet I am confident my roof will be great once replaced.

Updating my post from last November. Due to the fall/winter weather and a long list of customers my roof couldn't be replaced until February but it was worth the wait. Justin kept in touch to update me on how soon the work could be started and called prior to the first day to let me know what to expect. The crew was incredibly polite and cleaned up after each day. Justin came out to inspect and take photos from the top of the roof so I could see the work and it's beautiful. I couldn't be happier!

So far so good. Legit Exteriors were recommended to me by a friend. She, her next door neighbor and her neighbor across the street all had their roofs replaced by Legit, and she loved their work. They cleaned everything up and even used something to get all the debris up from the ground. She only found 2 missed dropped nails after they were done! I had the inspection today and Mark M. was very thorough, even laying on his back to get photos of the unused portion of a narrow, low attic area. Mark gave me a quote that was reasonable and I didn't feel any pressure to sign with them. I'll post again if/when I use them. They are busy - they have a backlog and won't be able to do the work for 6-8 weeks; that must be a good sign they're that in demand.

Legit Exteriors own Mike and Stafford came out to our house with positive, friendly attitudes and a willingness to help provide us with options that best helps fit our budget and needs for siding. We are excited to get the project started and to work with the crew. Highly recommend this company for you exterior needs. They are Legit!

Spoke with Chris today about some roofing to be done. He broke the process down, and made it all easy to understand.

Mike came out and gave us a quote for our roof today!! Mike is very friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything that his crew will be doing and what to expect. We will post a review after the roof is all done.

I initially contacted Legit because of the Platinum Warranty through Corning and since there are only a handful of roofers in the Portland metro area that have that cetification.
Chris from Legit showed up after normal business hours to accomodate my schedule, which I appreciated. He was the only consultant that inspected the attic, which revealed some water damage, which allowed him to give a more realiatic price with frwer surprises after the roof is complete. He came up with a price on the spot, unlike other places that take a day or two to come back. Better yet he was willing to work with me on price. Overall I was very pleased with his professionalism, open communication, roof inspection, and the final quote he gave.
The roof was completed 3 weeks ago and it's truly a perfect roof. The entire neighborhood loves it. It's straight as an arrow and solid. We couldn't be happier! Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a quality roof with a great warranty.

Legit Exteriors is Legit! Their staff is very professional and friendly, and my roof looks like the best one in the neighborhood! They used very high quality materials and the roofers were excellent and on time every day. You can completely trust them to get the job done, and get it done right!

Wow. Just wow. Worst company I have *ever* dealt with. They spent more time telling me what they don't do than what they do. We don't paint. We don't do interior work. We can't fix subflooring. (He did backpeddle and would do subfloor repairs) We had them out twice and the first guy came off like a used car salesman. I contacted the company and then Ryan came out and it ended up being the same used-car salesman attitude. After they measured he has a piece of paper with two numbers on it. No specs. No nothing and he was expecting me to sign right there. I told him I can't sign right now I have other bids coming in. He says why not? Why can't you sign this right now? Again I told him I have other bids coming in. He then says how long have you been waiting for their numbers? A few days. Why couldn't they give you numbers right away like we do?

At that point I told him we're done. There's no way I would ever let them touch anything on my house. How they got all these reviews I have no idea because this part of the process was absolutely ridiculous when he can't even give me the respect to consider the other offers I have coming in from other highly respected contractors.

Do not waste a phone call. But, if you do, have witnesses with you.
