My recent experience with Landmark Landscape, more specifically Ryan, was outstanding from start to finish. He spent much time with me designing the exterior lighting plan to meet my needs, while sharing his personal and professional experiences and expertise throughout the process.

He listened, he responded, he asked, he cared. Their installation was on time, exactly as discussed and done meticulously. The final walk thru was not rushed, expressing genuine interest in the outcome of the project.

After a decade of retirement, we realized that our organic gardening and landscaping habits would soon be beyond our physical capacity to sustain them. Consequently, we began a relationship with Landmark Landscapes that has allowed us to gradually, year by year, give up part of what we do for ourselves while adding tasks for Landmark to cover for us. We have never regretted that move to add their property-care assistance. Over the decade that Landmark has been assisting us, our landscape environment has improved in appearance and health while the burden of snow removal and physical labor of digging, pruning and spraying has moved to other, more-capable shoulders. At the same time, we have enjoyed discussing our strategies for landscaping improvements with advisors who can enhance our ideas with knowledge beyond our own. The personnel working in our yard or helping to design the improvements for a new year have been uniformly respectful and affirming. Seth and team did a great job of removing the Black Locust tree from our backyard. Seth is a master at cutting and placing the cut pieces in such a way preventing damage to the surrounding shrubs. It was a team effort to lower the large cuts and place them in our neighbor's yard. They also did a great job cleaning up the smaller branches and cuttings.

I have been using Landmark Landscapes Inc. for 2 1/2 years now and couldn't be happier. I started with a phone call because my lawn was not looking good and I was looking for a new company to do my yearly fertilizing. In a couple of days I got a phone call from Clare and scheduled an appointment with her for the next week. She came out and examined my lawn taking several samples and looking at all areas of my grass. I have just under an acre. At that point I was very impressed with her and her knowledge about my situation. Since then my lawn has not looked better. I have them do several other maintenance through out the year. Every time they come the crew when they get here introduces themselves and are so professional. Just a few weeks ago with the help of Ryan they did some new landscaping and wow its beautiful, and again the crew, two gentlemen were kind and professional. Landmark Landscapes recently renovated multiple planting beds around the house we recently bought. They were great to work with in every way. Marshall, the account manager, was great to work with. He did a fantastic job in the design and quoting process. His design was first rate. The people in the crew who actually did the work were hard working, polite, neat, knowledgeable, and friendly. We are 100% satisfied with Landmark Landscapes.

I had them do my whole lawn and landscaping this summer. The price was reasonable and it only took them less than 2 weeks to finish installation since I paid the deposit.
They were willing to include estimate project completion date in the contract, which I really appreciate.
The crew were super friendly and professional. They constantly cleaned up the site during the work, so the driveway was always clean and free of dirt when they left each day.
The project manager Ben is also 10/10, he always replied to my emails and questions almost instantly, and the answers were always very clear without any confusion.
I couldn't be more satisfied with their service. 5 star is an understatement, I'd give them more than 5 if I can.

Landmark has done a superb job keeping our long driveway clear of heavily drifting snow during this weekend's epic snowstorm. Ben has been readily available to communicate throughout and Alec has used his pick-up plow plus two additional pieces of heavy equipment to get the job done. We could not be more pleased with their responsiveness and expertise. Without them, we would have been snowed in for days. Greatly appreciated!

The lawn maintenance/mowing crew came today after skipping a week due to dry weather. The grass was really long, so proper mowing was key. Alec came and he did an incredible job!!! Our yard/lawn looked superb when I came home! He took the time to edge and trim around all tree mulched areas, and it looked so, so good! Edging was also done where needed along driveway and pavers. I am so pleased, and I can now relax and enjoy our beautiful yard for the weekend. Much thanks to Alex and his team for their excellent work and fine attention to details!

We have been working with Landmark Landscapes for several years at our business...they provide amazing weekly/seasonal lawn maintenance. This summer, we hired the team to complete a large landscape re-design project at our residence. From the initial design concept work through to the timely completion of the project, we have been beyond impressed with the quality, attention to detail, knowledge level, & overall professionalism that they brought to our project. Clare, Joe, & our entire crew were incredible to work with, & the results of the project are not to be believed...it looks like a different house! Raised patio/hard scape project:
Landmark Landscapes is a truly professional/quality company. Ryan, Adam and the rest of the people we worked with are some of the kindest and thoughtful people and their attention to detail is incredible! We've never seen such a neat work site. Our new raised patio easily exceeds all are expectations and we are looking forward to having them back for other projects in the future!! We have also been using Landmark for our lawn weed control and the results have been fantastic. These people really know their business!

The team at Landmark did a great job with both the design and installation of a retaining wall at our lake cottage. Ben Protzmann(account manager) and Bob(site supervisor) were very professional and helpful in answering all my questions as we managed our way through the project. The retaining wall is both functional and beautiful. I would highly recommend Landmark Landscapes to anyone.

The Landmark crew impressed me from start to finish. They designed and completed a large (for me) project at my home and completely transformed my property. They were always quick, courteous, and professional with communication, and I found that they truly listen to the customer's wants/needs. The best was that the install was completed within the communicated timeline, and once they started the crew was there every day (without rain), just like clockwork, and they were always right on top of the plan for the day. It was a pretty long project and my sons both loved watching the action and got to know the crew. I look forward to working with Landmark again in the future, and would recommend them to anyone.

Landmark has been an exceptional company to work with. Their experience and attention to detail cannot be beat. Clare and her team have been great at helping to repair and maintain our turf/grading after an extremely bad experience with a previous landscaper. The attention to detail is beyond exceptional as they leave our lawn and walkways looking immaculate after they are done. They also have provided snow removal service and we cannot be happier with that as well. We will continue to work with this company to finish landscaping our entire home as we are a new build. We have used Landmark Landscape Inc. for all our grass, weed, mulch and yard concerns in both the spring and fall for years. Their work has been excellent !!! They are prompt, professional and a great value!! We highly recommend them to anyone with yard needs as well as winter snow removal. They go above and beyond !!!!

We had a large ash tree removed due to emerald ash borer disease. It was in a tight, difficult to access area between our deck, house, and lot line over a row of low hemlocks and arborvitaes.

The removal crew used a tracked basket lift which they were able to maneuver into position without damaging our lawn. They removed the entire tree from one position, working from the outside in and from one side through the middle to the far side. The basket operator cut pieces which could be dropped and removed by an assistant on the ground. Nothing but a few twigs touched the evergreens, house or our neighbor’s yard. They staged all the materials neatly for the cleanup crew and blew the sawdust off our roof.

Cleanup was complete with raking and blowing of all small debris. The yard looked spotless after they left. Everyone was courteous and professional. We were delighted with the results.

Their customer service from going to our various locations and giving us our estimate in a matter of a couple of days was very much appreciated! They are very professional and always available to help you with your needs. I would highly recommend Landmark Landscapes!

Landmark did a fantastic job with building a boulder wall along our Lake Michigan shoreline. The final product looks fantastic. We couldn't be more pleased with the result of their efforts.
I want to especially call out Chuck who meticulously placed every rock in place so it would hold up to the forces of the lake and Angel who repeatedly added creative and artistic touches to the project.

We hired Landmark Landscapes for snow removal on our property and we highly recommended them for any commercial setting looking for this service. The dedicated crew understood our time-frames, safety concerns, and needs for our property. Knowledge of the proper use of salts and brines has a big impact on safety and was cost-effective for us. We hired Landmark to take down a dead ash tree and trim up some other trees around our home. All the staff was on time, friendly, and very professional. We were so pleased with the results - I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do a yard project!

They were able to integrate various design elements, from plantings, to Luxor low voltage lighting, Pennsylvania bluestone hardscape, Infratech heaters, natural cedar arbors, a Hunter irrigation system & even a Big Green Egg. Landscape team shows up fresh & ready to go wearing clean, collared polos that proudly sport the company logo. Attention to detail is impeccable. They must keep notes in the truck as they always call every family member by name, including the dog. Not the least expensive but by no means the most expensive. An honest value as you get what you pay for.

Very friendly and helpful. Pricey compared to other local landscaping companies, but I think the idea of you get what you paid for applies to this company.

After a long and difficult building process Joe Majerus promised and delivered on what he described as a "well oiled machine". With Brian Biller as on site coordinator and several Landscapers each with their special expertise the project was completed in a timely fashion including the installation of permeable pavers on a difficult site. They continued to be creative as we met with changes due to the site and resolved problems collectively to my satisfaction. I found them to be very professional and responsive.

We highly recommend Landmark Landscapes for all landscape needs and challenges. We bought a home on Crystal Lake and then discovered major water issues that required considerable regrading around our home. No challenge is too daunting. Joe and his team met all issues with professional and expert engineering and architectural skills. Each person was a pleasure to work with. Additionally, I now have an incredible and lovely garden, a beautiful patio and easy access to the lake.

From project conception through completion, our patio and garden spaces were approached with creative vision while respecting our fixed budget. The planner honored our needs and further enhanced the usability and aesthetic appeal of the space. The surrounding structures and historical component of our home were thoughtfully considered in the recommended material/plant selections, despite the extra installation challenge some of these materials posed. Their team of skilled installers were professional and respectful with acute attention to detail. They worked well with other contractors who were simultaneously working in the space, and left the space each evening tidy and clean (and may have even watered our plants that were hard to reach for us through the construction process!) The finished product is beautiful! We will definitely be using/recommending Landmark in the future!

Landmark Landscapes is a big part of our life on Elkhart Lake. Joe and his team resurfaced our patio with beautiful stone and built a new front step. These projects were on the lake side of the house and the attention to detail, following village rules and considering the lake's health in all was first and foremost. He and his team took an unusable part of our yard in the back and built a beautiful arbor with a stone patio for our hot tub edged by a picket fence using materials that will last and look great! Joe and Suzanne collaborated and planted some perennials, a tree screen from the neighbors, and spruced up some plants in our gardens that are thriving today. They also replaced three trees they had planted that died with no problem at all. Landmark mows our lawn, shovels our snow, kills our mosquitos, mulches our gardens and continues to advise us about the health and beautification of our gardens, trees, and house in general all with the idea of a low impact on the lake. The creativity, work ethic, geniality of the staff, responsiveness, and on-time-delivery all contribute to making Landmark Landscapes our choice for everything lawn and garden.

We have used Landmark Landscapes for both yard maintenance and winter snowplowing. What a difference it makes to use a company that takes some pride in their equipment and their employees. Previously, the company that took care of our 1.5 acres used dull blades on their cutters which ultimately ruined our grass and equipment that caused divots in our driveway. Out with them, enter Landmark Landscapes. Our yard never looked better, their uniformed employees are professional and knowledgeable. The edges are always trimmed, the walkways are always left looking tidy and neat. We are lucky to have them and appreciate their attention to small details that make a difference between a yard and a great yard.

“Think big,” is my standard line to Joe Majerus and his team and they never disappoint. Case in point: the before and after photos on my home which Joe sketched, off the top of his head on the back of some scratch paper, while sitting on my pier. A more precise computerized rendering followed, but somehow, from this old home, Joe saw great potential. He is an artist who is passionate about his work, and how the landscaping impacts the surrounding homes and environment. He has flawless taste. He knows hardscape, as well as plants and even rocks. Joe took the time to get to know my family and understand how we wanted to use our outdoor spaces. He worked seamlessly with my contractor and architect to create a welcoming family home on a very challenging site. Landmark will never cut corners or suggest something that doesn’t fit the area. For example, drainage--a big issue on a lake--is always done properly and often creatively, to ensure the continued health of the lake. The Landmark workers leave the jobsite clean every day and in addition to their obvious skill, are genuinely pleasant. Suzanne at Landmark is particularly gifted at creating planting beds for all different times of the year. I highly recommend this company and would use no one else on my projects.
