Nice place. People are usually friendly and helpful. Large selection of common home improvement stuff. They deliver. They rent trailers. Typical lumber yard.

Very happy that they have rental equipment! Used the Toro Dingo to level my yard for a swimming pool. What a great service La Crosse provides!

Rented the NIFTYLIFT for a day $200.00 Picked it up on a Saturday while raining. Set it up for use on Sunday morning and used extra pads under the outriggers for stability. First time up the lift went out of level and I was stuck until I could get someone to re-level while I was still in the basket. Loaded it up and returned it on Sunday morning.

Called to see if they could help my on the $200.00 full-days rental fee and was told no. I paid for it in advance and they couldn't refund any of the rent.

I was not able to use it safely under the weather conditions that caused the ground to be too soft to operate it. I understand that it was my option to rent it but thought since the conditions were so bad after an all day rain that I might at least get a break in the fee.

Good hardware stores, knowledgeable and helpful staff, reasonable prices, wide selection of merchandise, high quality. Lots of rental equipment available. Good advice If you need it.

The employees here go out of their way to serve their customers. Recently I arrived on a Saturday around 12:15pm, not realizing they closed at noon. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw employees locking up. When I asked if they were closing, they told me yes, but asked if they could help anyway. With smiles, these two employees happily unlocked the door, invited me in, and cut and sold trim to me. I asked the lady who checked me out if it would mess up her money count, she replied it would, but she didn't mind and would fix it Monday morning. Their thoughtfulness blew me away! If that isn't community-oriented service, I don't know what is! Lacrosse certainly has my business from now on. Thank you, Lacrosse Lumber Co.
