KVN did an amazing job with our roofing! Everything from the initial appointment and inspection, to coordinating materials, installation crew and clean up, was very professional and thorough. Over the winter we noticed water dripping through the overhang over our porch. After getting an emergency tarp placed on the house my wife and I began the endless parade of contractors coming through our house to bid on a what it would be to replace or repair our roof. To say that prices vary between contractors would be an understatement. Every contractor had a varying degrees of severity, risk, time lines, product costs, and deal closing tactics. KVN Construction is probably the closest you can get to white glove service at a cost that will not force you to sell your home to pay it off.

We previously had contracted them to repair some siding when we first bought out house. This would be the second time we have taken bids on a project and this is the second time KVN has knocked the other folks out of the water. No pun intended.

Kirill, Mya, Jessie, Ben, Javier and the rest of their team were in constant contact before, during, and after project completion providing pictures and video throughout the process. They are incredibly responsive to questions or concerns that you might have in order to get you want: A new roof that will keep you dry in the Pacific Northwest. I am not telling you to simply call KVN and sign with them no questions asked. I am saying you should make KVN on of the teams to make a bid among the others so you can see the difference.

I couldn’t be more satisfied and proud of the product and service I received from KVN. From the beginning process to every step until the end results. They keep you informed of every step and every crew member was very nice and pleasant and considerate of my property. I’m very glad that we chose this company and would highly recommend them. This is a company that stands by their word and deliver everything they advertise!! Plus they have no complaints or claims in many years of service which is very hard to find.

KVN Construction was great. They took the time to develop a good proposal, the work was scheduled ahead of when they said it would originally, and Javier and crew were top notch. The entire team worked in such harmony! —from the timely delivery of materials to the efficient tear-off of old shingles and the precise installation of the new roof. It honestly really impressed me that guys from another crew/jobsite came after their days work and assisted this team and worked together to move things so quickly and were able to finish our job before the projected time. The guys would make sure to empty the dump truck so that it was always ready for the next day’s work. I love how neatly they worked, and made sure to pick up the nails after themselves.

The roofing team did a great job and KVN was very communicative throughout the process. The only issue we had was that they removed our gutters and did not put them back or install new gutters and so we were left with no way to handle drainage during rainy season (this was in February). They said that gutters are usually installed with siding, which was coming later, but we needed it right away considering the weather. They finally came out and installed gutters but it took another couple of weeks to make that happen.

Javier and team were efficient, hard working, and communicated well throughout the project. The sales guy, Dave, at the initial meeting was very personable and pleasant to work with too

The roofing crew and supervisor are exceptional! Daily communication via text, and pics. Necessary change orders clearly discussed. Cleanup done well. The roofing methods (flashing, vents, extra ice and water shields, all materials) are exceceptional. We couldn't be more happy w/ KVN.

KVN was a great company to work with. Javier, the project manager, was amazing and communicated with us every day of the project. We got videos and pictures which showed every step of the process. The skylight installed unfortunately did not work (not to any fault of KVN) and Javier continually worked with me and the skylight company to get it fixed. He even came out to my house again to meet the technician and get it taken care of. I am very happy with how my new roof looks and they cleaned everything up afterwards. I have not found a single nail in my yard. I would definitely recommend this company and especially working with Javier.

We recently needed to get a full roof replacement, as well as fascia board installation, additional attic ventilation, and gutter replacement. Javier was our point of contact throughout the project and he was very helpful and communicative, sending us regular progress photos as well as change order requests when things turned out more rotten than expected. His team at Isaac Roof did a quick and effective job. I would definitely recommend KVN for any roofing projects.
Only star away was for the initial consultations. The inspection and the quote were in two separate appointments, and we definitely got the hard sell with a 2-hour Powerpoint presentation before we even got the quote - and then it came with a discount if we signed on the spot. If we hadn't already seen other quotes I'm not sure we would have gone with KVN based on the sales pitch.

KVN came out under the workmanship warranty they offer and redid every vent on our roof, just as an extra precaution so we wouldn’t have any issues in the future. I would like to give KVN 4.5 stars. Communication was excellent, especially once the job was underway. Their quote was the most reasonable we received and they did not hide the ball on any of the costs. My only complaint is that the work started many weeks later than estimated. I understand that the delays are common but felt like the communication around the delays was not as good as the rest of their communication. That said, I would recommend this company to others.

Working with KVN on our home update has been a joy! Our 40-year-old house was in need of a new roof and siding, and Javier and the KVN team walked us through the entire process. Starting with our roof, they provided detailed steps on what the team would be doing and how, and communicated with us through entire process. When they discovered mold and rotting plywood boards they informed us and made sure we understood our options. We elected to have all the bad wood replaced, and the additional work did not extend the timeline. They even demolished and covered our non-functioning (and rotting) chimney, which gave the roof a much cleaner look. And when they were done, other than a brand new roof you'd never have known they were there. They cleaned up daily and did a final cleanup when they completed the roof. We're so thankful to Javier, Oscar, and the entire team at KVN for our beautiful new roof!

KVN replaced our roof and gutters in May 2022. During the demolition phase, they discovered more old dilapidated roofing layers than originally expected. There was a slight additional charge as per the contract, but they communicated it well and it seemed reasonable given the additional labor required. My point of contact Javier gave me updates at certain phases to let me know how the job was progressing and asked for my input when certain decisions needed to be made. Once completed, the roof looked very nice.

KVN is reasonable and stands behind their work. They will make sure the end-result is optimal and will last a long time. Here are a couple examples. After the first rain came, I discovered that one of the gutters was not catching the runoff from the roof valley and the water was flowing straight onto the ground below. Javier sent the gutter crew out to make a temporary fix. Ultimately, we all agreed that due to the steep pitch of the roof, and other unique characteristics of the roof, a larger gutter model was required. KVN offered to swap it out at no additional cost to ensure the gutter was doing the job properly. There was also one downspout that had to make a tricky corner around an obstacle (a gate post). The gutter designer fashioned something that worked for one rainy season, but a year later, it was proving to be insufficient in the long run. So I removed the gate post that we didn’t need anymore and the gutter installer came back again to rework the downspout. It’s now a simpler and more robust design that works well.

I appreciate KVN being willing to return to the house multiple times for additional work to ensure that everything is well sorted.

The KVN supervisors and their subcontractors of Harding siding, gutter builders, painting consultant and painters were all excellent workers and kind people! They were friendly, flexible, and would show up for our concerns within 24 hours. It was a big project that happened the same summer our daughter got married overseas so they had to work around our schedule. It was most helpful to have them be easy and pleasant around our home with all going on with our family. We first heard about KVN from our neighbor who is a contractor so they came on a good recommendation. Be ready to make some speedy decisions after the initial presentation occurs and you'll get a discount. We're now happy customers living in house beautiful!

This company is a team of some very skilled & professional Portland roofing contractors, they recently replaced my roof/gutters and did an excellent job. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality of service, materials used and responsiveness of of KVN Construction. They were professional and always responded in a timely manner. Javi supervised the installation process and was available whenever I needed to discuss things or had questions. They installed high quality Malarkey Shingles and provided 50 years warranty. So far I am pleased with the work they did and will recommend them to others.

The roofers were always on time, communicated well throughout the process, and promptly finished the job in 1.5 days. They were up front with what needed to be done and what they found during the tearoff and what needed to be addressed when the new roof was installed. They were respectful of my yard and the house, and they picked up their debris and left it clean. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get a new asphalt roof!

We had KVN remove and replace all the siding on our home and then paint. The home repair process can be a bit overwhelming, but KVN was professional and efficient. We were happy with the timeline and the craftsmanship. We had some unknown damage that was discovered once the siding was removed. They were able to locate it, communicate what the options were, and then fix it appropriately - still completing the project faster than anticipated.

KVN was one of two companies we had estimate our full house residing after getting the referral based on their credentials from the James Hardie website. Both companies gave a thorough estimate but Alex's investment in researching my questions and the fact that KVN would do some construction repair that was needed as part of the project. The other company needed me to find another contractor to do that work. So in the end we chose KVN. The project was thorough and the team was very conscientious about their work. Even my neighbors commented on how quickly the team worked. The on-site team leader, Rigo, was very communicative and helpful in adding insulation where it was missing as part of the change order process. The team worked hard always arriving slightly early to what they communicated and working long days, six days a week to get the project finished.
