Ryan Skrivseth and his crew at Kootenai River Builders built a beautiful add-on for our house and they were a real pleasure to work with throughout the project. We really appreciated his whole approach to how he runs his construction business. He hires great, hard-working builders for his crew who share his values for quality and efficiency. Moreover, all of his subcontractors—for the foundation, plumbing, electrical, and custom tile work were all skilled professionals who were also a pleasure to deal with.

From the outset of the project, Ryan suggested several great ideas to improve upon the original design we had envisioned. He listened carefully to our goals and explained the pros and cons of different options to accomplish what was most important to us. We followed his recommendations to use insulated concrete forms for the foundation and a method to insulate the foundation on the existing structure to create an insulated crawl space that was both thoughtful and cost effective. He also recommended the ZIP System Insulated R-sheathing under the exterior envelope to minimize our heating and cooling costs—another cost-effective solution that added value to the quality and livability of our addition. Ryan made several other recommendations for the interior that came out great and added a lot of value to our home.

We really couldn’t be happier with the outcome of our addition and the process to achieve it. We highly recommend Ryan’s Kootenai River Builders for any residential building project.
