Koala did an amazing job on our attic insulation. They vacuumed out the old insulation, sealed everything, added baffles, and blew in new insulation. They also did some work sealing our basement. Our home feels so much better now. The Koala team was professional and on time. They worked really hard in hot July sun. I would highly recommend them.

Just FANTASTIC! Before they blew in insulation in the attic a couple weeks ago, I was always reaching to bring the thermostat down in the summer and up in the winter - several times a day! Have not touched the thermostat since. My wife has noticed too. She was constantly getting too warm in the middle of the night and slept with a fan on her. No longer. The house is staying at temp and we are very comfortable. So the team sealed up cracks and blew in 20 inches of insulation in under 3 hours. They provide before and after pictures too. Great service at a fair price. Highly recommend!

Koala insulation is fantastic. Dave the owner was very consultative and maintained great communication throughout the process. Max and the crew did excellent work on our crawl space and left the place cleaner than it was. After they left I saw they had secured an electrical outlet for me that was loose. They did a great job putting blown-in batt insulation throughout our attic spaces, and taking pictures along the way to communicate what work they had completed. They also sealed all our sill plates and cantilevered joists areas above our basement walls with spray foam insulation (took old batt insulation out and cleaned up the joist spaces, hopefully take care of our mouse infiltration issue). They communicated the scope well, responded quickly to my questions, and were not overpriced. Everyone who worked on the project was very kind and professional as well. And they communicated potential tax incentives for energy related upgrades as part of the insulation install. Overall great job, highly recommend.

First, the guys were very considerate of our home. They did a very thorough job in both areas we needed insulation. I'm not terribly impressed with the work completed on my attic. A few concerns: the workers covered the main light switch, which was an odd choice. I caught that as they were leaving and asked if they could fix it; they did, but in a bit of a rushed and imprecise manner. Later on, I walked further back and noticed that they left another light on. This was not too fun to access as I had to crawl over lots of blown cellulose on the floor to get to. Lastly, we have an upstairs HVAC system, and with the blown cellulose and the general setup they chose, it makes it cumbersome to get to the unit. It would've been nice to have a better plan in place to make that more friendly to access. Overall, I'm displeased and wish I would've chosen another installer.

Update (2/14): Snow completely melted on the roof as shown in attached photo. Koala is planning to come back out on 2/18 to review this and other concerns.

Great experience! I called - an actual person answered. Jeff came out promptly, climbed into the attic (yucky), took pictures, made suggestions, answered my questions, sent me the bid and we scheduled the work. Max (crew leader) then called and emailed me with the final install plan. The insulation crew showed up on time and completed the job and even cleaned up! We had a minor problem come up with the removal of the attic fan...Max reached out the next day and arranged a time to come back out, he showed up with a solution and made it happen! Our attic is tidy, fully insulated and secure. Big relief! Wish I had done it earlier. Call Koala!

As a homeowner it’s never enjoyable to have unexpected expenses but Koala made it as painless as possible. Phenomenal service, from the estimate with Max to the installation with CJ and her team. I received quotes from several places and the service and pricing was the best. Honest, thorough, and respectful. Highly recommend if you need residential insulation!

Had service sheduled but the metal roof was dripping water so, it would have to wait until it dried to spray insulation. Having tried to solve this problem myself, I knew that opening the windows and blowing air would not dry the roof completely.

I had an issue with them showing up 1/2 before the 8:00-8:30 promised time. When I finally got there and they were in my house without talking to me, or getting my permission, I lost it. Not professional of me or them

So now I get a bill for $300 cancellation fee which is their right based upon the documents I signed.

Koala did an amazing job. Our space is a irregular and Max was the only estimate that came and actually measured the spaces that would be closed cell sprayed (vs others that just rounded up) and so his bid was the only reasonable one I received. Then Cody and Blake did a great job spraying and actually left the area cleaner than before! Also, one of my fears was the smell, but whatever they did made it odor less! They also will make sure you are happy with the job. Highly recommend.

He had an estimate immediately, and then they came out to do the work two days later at a time when I’m sure everybody was needing help from the big winter storm. Super responsive all around. The work they did was explained to us and then carried out perfectly. They were courteous and professional too. I can’t say enough good things about Kola, the team that worked with us, and the quality and timeliness of the work.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The Koala team far exceeded expectations removing and replacing attic insulation in my historic house. It was a very large job. They even kept an eye out for artifacts in the attic from the home's history and found a 100 year old biography journal from an owner who lived here 100 years ago. I absolutely recommend Koala!! Max came out for an evaluation. He was very friendly, on time, and took a look at our current insulation. We didn’t end up needing additional work and I appreciate his honesty. If I do end up needing any work or if I have friends that need work, I would recommend that they contact Koala.

Koala did everything they were supposed to do. All of my old attic insulation was removed, areas around light fixtures and where any light shown through were sealed. The attic was then sanitized and new insulation was blown in. The crew vacuumed what little was needed and put back the second story window screen for me, leaving the house just as they found it.
Everything was completed by mid-afternoon and the dumpster was removed the following morning.

I own an energy auditing company in the area, Endeavor Home Performance, and I chose Koala Insulation to complete my attic project! Koala understands that it isn't just about R-value in the attic, air sealing matters too. They vacuumed out the old insulation, air sealed the ceiling to prevent drafts, prepped the attic, and blew in new insulation. Not only did they improve the insulation, but they also made a significant difference in the air leakage of my home. Now it is more comfortable, healthy, durable, and efficient than ever before!

Max at Koala Insulation of South Kansas City was extremely kind and very responsive. I called looking for a quote to clean out the attic at a house I am renovating that had raccoons in the attic previously. I got another quote from a different company and I felt like it was extremely high. I spoke with Max about the situation and how I felt about the price I was told by the other company, and he told me that was quite typical for the type of company I called (it was a critter control company), they charge a higher price because people think they are specialized in that type of clean up, but Insulation companies do the same clean up and disinfection. After Max came out to do the quote, he came to me with a quote that was more than 4,000 dollars less that what the quote from the other company was. I was relieved to know I wasn't stuck paying that crazy high quote. I was able to get on the schedule in less week. They came out and cleaned out the entire attic on day one and replaced all the insulation on day 2. They made sure to vacuum any mess that was made through the house and were professional and kind. I would recommend Koala Insulation of South Kansas City to anyone looking for new insulation!

Got estimates from several different businesses in the area and Koala was the most affordable by far. Scheduled us quickly, got the job done and made sure to take pictures and explain everything that they did. Would highly recommend.

Koala Insulation provided an estimate to add to the attics in my split level house. The detailed estimate was provided fast and it was a fair price. I had them out the next week to do the job. Three hours later they were done! Baffles, light covers, portal access covers and lots of nice, new insulation! I look forward to a warmer living room this winter! Great communication throughout the entire process. I highly recommend.

We had Koala add insulation to our attic to get it to R-49 level. Prior to adding the insulation, they also did a great job of air-sealing as many places as possible...and adding more baffles. The work crew was competent and efficient, and Dave was here periodically to make sure everything was going ok. The crew did a great job of being careful with our front landscaping, and they did an amazing job of cleaning everything up -- I couldn't find even one shred of insulation on the floor when they were done! Would highly recommend this company.

Koala did a great job insulating our garage and mother-in-law suite. Their team was on time, communicative, professional, and courteous. Even without AC, you can already tell a huge difference. It stays much cooler from the previous evening, the temp doesn’t sway much, and everything is so quiet now. Additionally, foam insulation that has to be trimmed for drywall can make a pretty big mess, and these guys left our place cleaner than when they found it. Our house still had the original insulation from 1960. Only 3 inches! Max quoted us a really fair price. He and his helper arrived on time and got the job done, bringing the insulation depth up to almost 20 inches. Can't wait to see the difference in our heating/cooling bills. So far so good! We had a tough time keeping the upper bedroom of our split level cool on hotter days. A/C would struggle to keep it cool. I figured our attic might need more insulation so I called Koala to take a look. Rather than pay for more insulation they suggested a thermostatic 1550cfm solar attic fan to pull the heat-laden air out of the attic to help bring temps down. I was a bit skeptical at first I will admit. Since install we do notice the A/C does seem to cycle a little more (versus running almost constantly) and overall rooms are maintaining a more comfortable temperature. So, the fan does seem to be working! Thanks for the advice and install!
