Justin and the installation team at Safe Harbor vastly exceeded our expectations during every phase of our 32-year old window replacement project! From the initial project quoting through the final walk-through, the Safe Harbor team was professional, met their scheduling commitments, and were meticulous about the quality of their work. Inside our home, the team took great care to cover all exposed flooring and immediately cleaned up any dust/debris. They consistently asked if we had any questions throughout each of the three day project duration and constantly kept us updated on their progress. There are a lot of window installers out there, but you would be hard-pressed to find one that is as customer and quality-focused as Safe Harbor Exteriors.

Our family couldn't be happier with the final product done by Safe Harbor Exteriors. We had a new roof & Hardie board siding done throughout. They were projects we had put off for years, but once the woodpeckers persisted AND our area was hit with a hailstorm, it was time to knock them both out.
Steve, and his entire team, made the entire process so incredibly smooth. Their price was better than their competitors, their turnaround time was great, and their craftmanship was precise. They were professional, installed our new lighting, reinstalled the gutters, and cleaned up after each day/shift.
During the process and once all the work was done, Steve followed up again to see if there was anything else we needed and made sure we were satisfied. He fixed a small drainage issue we had and installed our flagpole holder. Steve's attention to small details showed he didn't want anything to go unattended.

Good experience overall. Owner Steve met with us and gave us details about our desired work primarily residing our home with James Hardie composition material. The bid and scope were competitive with others we had gotten. His edge for us was providing new gutters as part of the siding job and not requiring an up front payment which helped get us scheduled while we closed on equity financing. The job was done in a timely manner and looks fantastic. We were shocked and relieved to see the amount of weathered and rotted original materials that were removed and replaced by the crew with the new siding. We now have decades of peace of mind ahead of us.

We engaged Safe Harbor Exteriors to install new siding on our home. They were very patient with us as we navigated our financing. We liked the fact that they did not require any money down. They asked for payment after the siding job was completed and we had done our final walk through. The crew was fast and efficient. We didn't realize how badly our wooden window casings had rotted. The crew cleaned up the wood rot before installing the siding. They did a high quality job. The only negatives, which we shared with Safe Harbor, is the lack of communication we received. The crew would not tell us when they would arrive or when they were done for the day (or done with the project). The crew, while extremely skilled, were very sloppy. They left discarded cups, water bottles, and other trash all over the lawn until they were completely finished. One female crew member spent most of her time in the corner of the yard on her phone. Overall, we were very satisfied with Safe Harbor and we would definitely recommend them!

Unlike typical high-pressure salespeople, Steve presented his products and services in a professional, straightforward manner. Safe Harbor installed our Hardie Board Siding and it looks great! They started earlier than expected and got siding job done quickly and cleaned up after themselves! We also had some stone put around garage which took longer because special order but did eventually get done. Overall very happy with completed project and would recommend Safe Harbor!

We talked to multiple companies while deciding who to use for the exterior of our home. Safe Harbor was transparent, fast, and offered James Hardie siding compared to all the other companies only offering vinyl. Safe Harbor was much more affordable than many of the other companies, who just wanted as much money as possible. We are extremely happy with our siding, soffit, fascia, flashing, gutters, windows and the guarantee that comes with their work. If there was any more work to be performed, without a doubt, we would chose safe Harbor again.

New James Hardie Siding, Marvin Windows, Gutters with a leaf proof top, painted the front of the house, and installed a new Providia back door with storm door. Looks like a new home! 10/24/23 - Safe Harbor has quickly become our go-to company for hassle-free, friendly, competitively priced exterior services. We had a few more windows replaced, and as usual, we are very satisfied with the experience and the product. We plan to use them for our gutters and fascia soon!

An contractor working on my HVAC noticed some issues with roofing and in anticipation of winter storms and snows recommended that I have it checked and or repaired.
I called Safe Harbor Exteriors (had previous experience with them at another property) and they came out, checked the roof and attended to the issues that needed work.
I find them to be courteous and professional and diligent in handling the roofing issues I have had.

I have worked with Steve Scheffler and Safe Harbor multiple times. After speaking with a lot of other contractors in my area, I found Safe Harbor to be in a class of their own. We used Safe Harbor to paint the exterior of our home and install new gutters. Excellent customer service. Steve is wonderful! Guys were professional, kind, and listened to our wants/needs. We love how our house turned out!

Steve stayed with this project through dealing with my insurance company adjuster's mistakes and and dealing with the ridiculous requirements of my Homes Association. We have a very complicated roof with many peaks and valleys, and 3 stories up on the back side. The installation went very quickly even though it was during extreme heat. The hardest workin crew I have seen on any type of project. Nice job on the cleanup afterward. Highly recommended.

Safe Harbor installed James Hardie siding, soffits, and gutters. The install was meticulous and our home was left cleaner than when the company showed up. The level of detail in the install was beyond expectation! We are so pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the install team!

This project was a very small project, take about 6 shingles off, install a 6 inch diameter exhaust vent, hood, and put down new shingles. So I was struggling to find a contractor that would be interested in such small potato's. However, when I first spoke with Steve he said not a problem glad he could help. This home is an older home and Steve was able to locate and match the roof shingles. We set a date and he had his person there as discussed and they did a great job. I really appreciated Steve's approach and willingness to help as many others out there would not have bothered. When I have a need for exterior work on any of my other properties, Steve will be my first and most likely only call.

Safe Harbor is a top-notch company. I had a leaky roof that was causing sheet rock damage on the ceiling of my garage. I called Safe Harbor later on a Friday, after 5PM, and the owner of the company (Steve) answered the phone directly. Not an answering machine, not a 3rd party answering service, not a busy tone, but the actual owner. Steve spent 20+ minutes understanding the situation, used google maps to view the exterior of my house and explained the possible issues and steps they would take to further diagnose. I scheduled to have someone from Safe Harbor look at my roof but I had to reschedule due to a conflict I had. When I called Safe Harbor, again Steve answered and told me no problem to reschedule. When the roof technician arrived on-site he not only identified the problem, he was willing to take pictures and take the time to explain specifically what he was seeing on my roof (rather than simply saying he found the problem and he could fix it). Communication throughout the entire process was great. No more leaking roof!

I don't often write reviews but in this particular case I feel it's necessary. Just had a new roof installed last month by Safe Harbor and can honestly say the professionalism, communication, workmanship and overall experience was stellar. Steve was awesome to work with. He was punctual, knowledgeable, funny and very responsive towards any questions I had. And most notably...honest. I never felt like he was trying to upsell me something I didn't need and gave detailed explanation on material types, installation process, warranty, etc. Arguably one of the most expensive purchases a homeowner will make, so feeling comfortable with a company you can trust makes a huge difference when you finally cut that check. Safe Harbor is definitely one of those companies.

Following the severe March hail storm our roof and siding were demolished. Steve and Lloyd helped with our plan for recovery. The roof was completed in a timely manner. Steve then went above and beyond to help link us with competent individuals to replace our siding, trim, a few windows and the gutters. During the process, he operated as our project manager communicating with insurance repeatedly and making sure we had everything we needed to bring our damaged home back to its original status. His communication, respect, humor and patience made the rather stressful experience much more tolerable. We loved the fact that he lives locally with his family in the Shawnee area. (We did have a challenge with a few nails left behind that ended up in our tire which we think may have happened when the garage door was up and wind blowing extremely hard. Steve was responsive for any question or concern we had including a window glitch that was promptly repaired).

I'm a home owner that needed a new roof and siding for my house so of course I called several companies for an estimate. Within a day I had an appointment set up with Garrett at Safe Harbor Roofing. He showed up on time and he was very knowledgeable and very nice. Safe Harbor gave me the best price of all the other companies. I had a ceiling leak in my house and Safe Harbor Roofing did the repairs to the roof in what they thought would fix the leak. They did a great job on this repair. Unfortunately, it did not fix the leak. I called them back to let them know this and no call back for weeks. After multiple calls, I had another representative come take a look. After that nothing. After multiple calls, I gave up. Four months later I get an invoice out of nowhere, even though the problem was never fixed. They do good work, but may not necessarily fix your problem or return your calls. They may forget to call you back, but not to invoice you.

I would recommend Steve and Safe Harbor Roofing and Siding to all my friends and family. My new James Hardie Siding is beautiful and the whole process was smooth and painless. Thank you guys!

We were extremely pleased with the quality of the roof replacement process. We had hail damage and Safe Harbor worked with us to ensure that we received the most benefit from our insurance dollars.
