The project manager was thorough and professional in providing the quote. The work to repair the roof, gutter and soffit looks great, done ahead of schedule at a fair price.

I chose Buck because I knew they had good reviews and were a reputable company, not the fly by night trash companies so many people experience. My experience wasn't great, I understand that stuff happens but I really felt that attitude and carelessness of the crew don't match who Buck pretends to be. Prior to the project I did ask that extra precautions were taken so that nails and debris were out of the yard as I have kids and pets, I know perfection isn't possible but the end results was a torn up A/C unit, Screen, and debris in the yard, they also left tools of their own. Lastly, the one gentleman that did speak English was rude, wouldn't even stand up (was sitting when I talked to him) and told me my concerns weren't his problem. I was given a credit for the A/C unit of $225 and a promise the screen would be fixed but haven't heard a word back on it. I can't even speak to the roof yet as we haven't had rain but my reason for choosing Buck was so I didn't have to deal with a bad contractor and yet I still did. Hopefully the roof holds up.

With my husband not being home when they arrived I typically feel anxious about these types of service visits, but this encounter was different. I was given space as a woman, and wasn't talked down to.
There was a fast fix, and he explained everything he saw and what he did to correct it.

We recently re-roofed out custom tudor -style home in Leawood. Craig provided outstanding customer service from beginning to end and went the extra mile for us throughout the job. Quote was more than competative compared to 5 other quotes I received for same job, same shingles, etc. Due to weather/supplies we had to wait until early Jan... Craig provided us w/ 2 full crews (10 guys total) for shake tear off & application of GAF Grand Sequoia asphalt shingles...done in 3 days w/ excellent clean up & workmanship. Several small areas needed to be re-flashed due to aesthetics, & they send a talented sub out to complete the work already (due to mild weather), instead of waiting till spring. Kudos for professionalism, patience & superior customer service! We will recommend Craig & Buck to others!

Good, fast, cheap... pick one?

They were certainly fast, but at the expense of nearly everything else. Months later I'm still finding nails in the yard, dents in the downspouts, and incorrectly reinstalled gutter screens. And that's after I had to ask them to come back to clean the tar off my driveway, attempt to reinstall the gutter screens, and replace the dented downspouts that I initially found.

Based on a recommendation from Patrick Exteriors, I had much higher hopes. If you need a roof installed quickly and you really, truly don't care about anything else, go with Buck. But if you want a roofing crew that takes care of your property and leaves it as good as they found it, go with someone else.

Gabe was very responsive and his team did an excellent, speedy job with my roof and gutters. They were great to work with and are true experts in the industry. Everything turned out looking amazing!

Had a roof leak a couple of years ago. Buck Roofing came out and did an excellent job getting everything patched up.

Recently I was having another issue in a similar area of the roof so I gave Buck another call. Brady came out and diagnosed a minor issue during the initial assessment (unrelated to the previous work), and he was able to fix it instantly while he was on site.

Had a leak in the roof that caused three areas of rotted OSB. Received a quote to fix the leak and replace the damaged OSB. When the roofer came, he fixed the origin of the leak but did not repair all of the damaged OSB that I was quoted and paid for. Good thing I had access to that area of the attic to see from the inside! I called Will, the project manager, and after some back and forth, he arranged for Micah, the roofer, to come back out and finish the job as quoted. Will also joined. Perhaps just a case of miscommunication and I appreciate that they stuck to their word and finished the job. I wish I didn't have to make the case to finish the work or check the work to make sure it was done as promised, but let that be a lesson for any homeowner. Stick to your guns and be clear about what was quoted. I would work with them again in the future, Will and Micah were good guys and I would recommend them.

Incredible customer service from Dave. Arrived on time, asked questions, immediately found the problem and addressed it for an extremely fair price. Wow, very impressed from initial conversation to the actual appointment. This company gets it.

JMB Properties; I own several rental properties and have historically called 5 roofers for quotes. Craig at Buck Roofing has always been responsive and competitive. As a property owner my advise is don't waste your time calling 5 different guys. Just call Craig at Buck Roofing.

Gabe from Buck Roofing fixed the roof of my parents home over a year ago, phenomenal work. Recently my parents needs help with the gutter and guards and Gabe came back out and did it all completely free of charge, he also fixed the fence gate while there simply because my parents had been previous customers. Was not expected but totally appreciated. The roof itself from over a year ago is still in perfect shape, but such awesome customer service and personal integrity doing things like that. We will continue using them for any and everything going forward

Called them to quote a roof repair. I needed 12 shingles replaced on my roof after a storm blew them off. The guy that came out told me it would be $1000 dollar to replaced 12 shingles. WHAAAAT? Come on! I suspect they subcontracted this to a local contractor that decided to try to screw me before offering to by me dinner. The standard quote for that work is $400-$500. Not sure what they are charging for labor, but maybe they were using gold shingles? Either way, safer to avoid this place.

I used Buck roofing for my new roof and gutters after the big storm years back. Over the last few years I have had two areas of my house that required major stucco and wood repair from either poor installation or gutter quality. I called Bucks to come and look...I wasn't even asking to be compensated for my subsequent repairs. But when the guy never does anything to fix the problem and I have had to use two other companies to rectify this I feel I need to give them a negative review. I think they are great on roofs....gutters not so much.

Our gutter was damaged during the heavy winds in the early summer. I tried calling a ton of companies and handymen to fix it and it wasn't a big enough job to get many of them to even respond to me. Not only did Buck Roofing come out and fix the problem, but they were super fast, and hyper professional even on a 'small job' like mine. I'll definitely be a long term customer of Buck Roofing.

We have worked with them 3 times. Twice our roof needed to be inspected and once for a rental. Every time they were honest about what was or wasn't needed.

They repaired a section of roof once, replaced the roof for the rental and this time told us we're fine for another 2 - 3 years. There is NO REASON to call anyone else. These guys are honest, professional and for a fair price!!

Approximately three years ago I had a new roof installed on my house. Just recently, I noticed a couple of spots on my ceiling that looked like water damage. I called the actual roofer (DHI Roofing) and they came and looked at it, took pictures, but never came back or called with an explanation or solution. I called them SEVERAL times, but they never returned my calls. So... I called my insurance company and they referred my issue to BUCK ROOFING (Gabe Mitchell). Gabe came out the next day, walked the roof, went in my attic, took several pictures, and explained each photo in detail. He said my vents were installed properly, there was no roof issues other than a nail that needed sealed. The problem was caused by natural causes. He advised that IF I had any more issues to call him and he would come out. Otherwise, I just needed to use an oil-based kilz primer and paint the area. Gabe even went as far as checking my enter attic for any potential issues. He did notice that in my master bathroom that the hoses from the vents were not hooked up to their own vent which could cause condensation. Unfortunately, I had already experienced this issue and had had damage in my master closet because of it. So, I did make an appointment with him to correct that issue before Winter. It's a minimal cost to repair. I can't tell you what a relief it was to hear that my roof is in tact and as it should be. Very disappointed with DHI Roofing!!! They certainly do not stand behind their work :( Should any future roof issues arise, I will definitely be contacting Gabe Mitchel with BUCK ROOFING. Thank you so much Gabe!!! OH, I ALMOST FORGOT!!! THERE WAS NO CHARGE WHATSOEVER FOR GABE'S SERVICES!!! Amazing! That's what you call pride and accountability in your business! Hard to find these days unfortunately :(

I worked with Jason for having a new roof put on along with some roof modifications and new gutters in March 2021. I was very happy with the finished product and felt the price was very fair.
November 2023, Buck roofing just put a new roof on my new construction house less than 2 years after construction due to heavy hail damage. Couldn't be happier with the product. Looking at the roof, it's very clear the workmanship and quality is better than the original roof the builder put on.

One of the best ways to judge a company is how they treat clients when there is no profit motive. I had a very small repair after a storm (furnace vent was blown off). Most roofers wouldn't even call me back because there was no profit but Buck Roofing was different. They called me back later that day and Gabe was at my house at 8 AM the next morning to resolve my problem. It only took about 20 minutes, he provided before/after pictures, and checked the rest of the roof for problems. He was very professional, friendly and we had a good conversation about various topics. I've dealt with many roofers over the years and Buck Roofing sets the standard for customer service. I couldn't have asked for anything better and I HIGHLY recommend them.

I had a full roof installed. It was a pleasure to work with Jesse. He was responsive whenever I called. I called two other roofers with estimates that were over 50% more than Buck Roofing quoted me. They did great cleaning up,, after the install I only had a handful of trash to pick up. I would highly recommend Buck Roofing!

Wanted to share a wonderful experience with Buck Roofing. My parents are lifelong residents of Excelsior. After the storm, and some minor tree damage, I had Buck Roofing come out to inspect their roof. It would have been so easy for them to say that they needed a new roof or try to sell them something they didn’t need. However, the only issue was a couple of loose shingles on the garage across the street which they are going to fix at no cost. It means the world to me that they were honest. Any future roofing needs (my home included) will be handled by Buck Roofing.

We had a sunroom that leaked for 10 years and several people had attempted to stop the leak. They showed up when promised and solved the problem on the very first attempt. A good company that does care and fixes the problem .

We recently had Buck Roofing replace our hail-damaged roof. Gabe Mitchell was a valuable consultant and project manager. he never tried to "sell" us, but gave us options clearly and honestly. We really appreciated his professionalism. The whole team was fast and professional in spite of challenges due to weather and the fact that the city decided to tear out our sidewalk and curb the same day as the job was scheduled. Experienced roof leak on high end composite roof. Buck Roofing estimator provided bid which was reasonable and entailed replacement of roof ridge damaged shingles. Original shingles were no longer available so Buck Roofing sourced similar shingles to coordinate with our existing shingles. Repair crew was timely and damaged shingles replaced. After several rainy days, not a drop of rain has appeared indoors. Problem solved and would highly recommend Buck Roofing.

Jesse and his crew did a great job replacing our roof. The crew stayed and cleaned and combed the area for nails and debris, so we found very few nails in my flowerbed. It has been over a year since the job, but when we noticed a spot on our ceiling just recently, we called Jesse and he came that morning. He checked it out, and helped us know what the problem was. Since we are not used to the severely cold conditions recently in Feb.,. 2021, we were not aware of the condensation change in the attic. Jesse explained the situation and what to expect. He was professional, knowledgeable about a unique weather situation, and polite. Wonderful to work with!

This is a first class company with first class people. I recently had a roof leak. I called Buck Roofing after hours, and they were able to get someone out to look at my roof promptly. Carl was professional, thorough and honest. He spent time looking at my roof and up in my attic to determine what was going on. Instead of taking advantage of the situation and charging me a bunch of money, they told me that I actually did not need to do anything at this time. They didn’t even charge me for coming out to my house and spending time diagnosing the problem. Rather, they said that if and when I needed something in the future, to call them. Everything from my initial call, to the visit with Carl and follow up communication was very professional. I would highly recommend this company.

After I contacted the company estimator Gabe called me within 30 minutes. We set up a time to meet. He showed up on time & inspected the roof. After the inspection he informed me that the roof was in good shape & didn’t need replaced. I had another estimator tell me i needed to replace the roof because of hail damage. Jason Flannery could not have been more efficient and helpful. He responded to calls immediately, made dealing with my insurance company easy and seamless. I'm 95 years old and he was patient and helped me through the entire process. Hopefully the roof will last longer than I do!

Gabe came by to check our roof after it started leaking into our hallway due to a huge rain storm this week. He was able to diagnose and fix it in less than an hour at an EXTREMELY reasonable rate! He was super courteous and friendly. He seemed super knowledgeable and made me feel very confident that my leak is taken care of! They know what they are doing and do a good job, but that is if they ever call you back. Called them and they say, we will call you back in 48 hours. Don't hold your breathe. Never called back. I should have learned from that. I called and called to some one finally called me back. I bid the job just like they asked, and called them to remind them to bid and they did not bid the job. Not interested. Emailed them to find out what happened, no return call or email. Too busy to be bothered for $40k worth of work. Good roofer if you can get them.

Had my first experience with Buck Roofing today and was extremely impressed. The Project Manager, Craig Scherling showed up on time and was able to figure out the source of our leak within 5 minutes of being here. He was very knowledgeable and had the problem fixed in no time. He was also very honest and told us our roof was in great shape. I will definitely use them in the future!!

Buck was not the cheapest estimate I got but they came highly recommended by my neighbor and friends. Patrick Carter was my project manager and he did an excellent job of explaining my options. He did not try and sell me things I didn't need, and spent time explaining what things were, and listened to what I wanted and needed. The crew was courteous, friendly, and hardworking. They cleaned up very well after they finished, which was important to me. They did everything to my specifications, and I'm pretty particular! The roof looks fabulous:)

Really appreciate time spent making sure we were happy with the roofing choices. Great teamwork dealing with gutter guard and bathroom vent issues. And fast! Counted 8 roofers at one time during 1-day tear off and replace of residential roof.

We have a leak in our master bedroom. Buck Roofing came out and told us what needed to be done. We had to call them several times to see when they would come out to do the work. They took at least two months to come back and perform the work. We paid them. Next hard rain, our bedroom ceiling was leaking again. Called them to come back out. They came out and looked at it and told us what needed to be fixed. Buck Roofing said they would get back with us, and they never got back to us. At this point, we are tired of calling them. We won't use them again.

We've used Buck Roofing to replace roofs on 2 houses. We've also used Buck Roofing to replace gutters/downspouts, repair wood rot and replace barn skylights. We are very happy with their service. Our project manager, Oliver Jacobs, did an excellent job of communicating. The work was done correctly and the crew did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The price was fair. We would use them again and recommend them to friends and family.

Dave came out to take a look at my roof and inspect it for a water leak. He was extremely flexible in scheduling the appointment and even arrived early! He made a couple minor repairs and made a couple of recommendations for further repair of the siding. Really appreciated his insight!

Jesse Hogg was the man from Buck Roofing that came out after the latest tornado hit our area ripping shingles off of our home and workshop. Jesse got up on the roof & checked it out, covered bad spots, & Came back when our insurance adjuster came out and met with him. All went smoothly and Jesse got his crew out here and in 3 days we had brand new upgraded shingles on both our home and workshop. I just really can’t say enough about these guys. They were GREAT! They not only did a great job but reset our WiFi transmitter & also fixed a leak that we had ever since our house was built and all at no additional cost. And the cleanup was meticulous! We highly recommend Buck Roofing and Jesse Hogg and are so glad we picked them to do the job. Thanks guys for everything!

I had 3 other roofing companies come out and check out a leak. Their estimates to repair ranged from $1,300 to $4,200 and all wanted to do a lot of work on a relatively new roof that I thought was unnecessary. Jason with Buck Roofing came out and found cracks between the trim and my siding that joined a slope in the roof that had not been caulked when my house was last painted. He believes this is the source of water occasionally coming into my house. He caulked the cracks and didn't charge me anything. I've found you can't always believe the hype you hear on the radio from a lot of companies but I found Buck Roofing to be every bit as honest as their advertisements. I will strongly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Buck roofing recently replaced the roof on my home, shed, and a small canopy over a portion of my deck. Our project coordinator, Jesse Hogg, was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. No fancy suit, brief case, or smooth talk. Just blue jeans, clipboard, and an iPad. He assessed our needs, and explained his proposed solutions in easy to understand layman’s terms. Once the work was scheduled, the crew arrived on time and was focused on the task. No loud music to annoy me or my neighbors. All work was completed in 1 day, except for building a small “cricket” on the uphill side of the chimney, which they came back and installed a couple days later. Communication was great throughout the entire process, the cleanup was impeccable, and my roof is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We recently discovered water spots on the ceiling near our fireplace. We obtained an estimate for repair from a chimney company but wanted another opinion. Chase Cross from Buck Roofing came out to our home and offered several options for repair which were much more reasonable than what the chimney company proposed. We scheduled the repairs, which Buck completed to our satisfaction. Another real plus: Chase was very communicative and kept in touch with me through the course of repair.
