K&J Roof Repairs

We hired K&J Roofing to replace the flashing around a leaking skylight and install a new ridge vent. Without going into too many details, all of the initial work was done incorrectly (by a worker no longer employed by the company) and the full extent of the errors were not identified until a year after the work was completed. As the rather significant errors were identified, Jason was responsive, took responsibility, and was quick to have the work re-done. Jason stands by his work, takes responsibility for mistakes made, and wants his customers to be satisfied. I appreciate Jason's ownership of the mistakes, but that didn't make up for an overall frustrating experience working with K&J Roofers.

Our roof started leaking when two inches of rain fell in our area, and in less than a week we had a beautiful new roof. K & J Roofing accessed our roof and gave us honest feedback about what was still good about our roof but also what was needed to prevent further problems. We had a quote and the job scheduled within 48 hours. I highly recommend K&J Roof Repair and appreciate the quality of business they provided.

K&J was very responsive to coming out the day after I called to patch the roof until the insurance agent could come and inspect the damage. Then I was able to get a complete replacement a short time later. Throughout the process, Jason answered all of my questions and went out of his way to be sure I was comfortable and happy with the project process. I would use the again.

The American Home Shield plumbing contractor discovered that a leak was caused by a hole in the roof. K&J were called on Tuesday and Jason came by to inspect the roof Wednesday evening. He pointed out water damage to the roof structure, dried and missing gaskets, an overall mess and necessary major repair. A completely new roof made the most sense. An estimate was given on spot also with the pricing of a small section of new gutters to prevent future similar issues. When asked when the job could be scheduled, Jason said, "Friday." I asked which Friday and he said the coming Friday, in two days. He also said it would be a one day job. Immediately, a handshake contract was agreed upon pending an email contract and deposit.

Later that evening Jason called and asked if the roof replacement could be rescheduled for Thursday, as rain was forecast for Friday. He said his crew would be there at 8:00 a.m. At 7:59 a.m. on Friday, Jason's crew of approximately ten to twelve workers pulled up and began working. The crew worked quickly, efficiently, like clockwork. By 9:10 the old shingles and underlayment had been completely removed. By 10 a.m. the structural repairs had been completed. It was as if a choreographed demonstration was being performed. It was so mesmerizing and speedy that I barely had time to get to an ATM for cash to tip the workers.

As I returned from the bank, the crew was finishing cleaning all the debris and getting ready to cart away the garbage. It was 11:15 a.m. The total roof repair and installation had taken less than three and one-half hours. The entire process, from initial inspection to completion, took less than twenty-four hours. The work was impeccable. The service and efficiency was beyond anyone's expectations. I have worked with excellent local contractors for other home issues such as flooding and crawl pace renovation and given them six stars on a five star scale, but K&J Roofing deserves seven stars out of five and my highest accolades. They are the best ever.

Jason and his crew were awesome from start to finish. He replaced our roof, gutters and gutter guards. He went into great detail at our initial visit and had a crew out within a few days. They arrived very early and stayed late, getting the job done in one day. They guys were respectful and hard workers. Clean up was perfect and Jason followed up to check on our satisfaction. You can definitely trust them to do a quality job!

I contacted Jason(owner) at K&J Roofing about some roof and gutter repairs on my house to prepare our house for sale.

He said they could do the work and would come to our house in the 1-2 days to give an estimate.

I contacted Jason again after 1 day and he said they would be by in the next 24 hours.

I received a call at the end of the 2nd day to be told that he had been caught up on a difficult job and would be buy in 2-3 days, if that was suitable.

I told him I was good with whatever worked for him. Since that second day, he has not called me back, not responded to phone calls or texts and never shown up to give a quote or do any work.

I’d say this is clearly indicative of the service that you will get from this contractor.

I will use Nathan’s Roofing because they always answer the phone and respond to your inquiries.

Jason and his crew did a great job installing a new roof on my house. My old roof was 25 years old with a few leaks. They removed old roof, repaired leaks and installed new shingles in less than a week. Definitely recommend K&J to others.

K&J roofing was my third and last estimate before I chose them to replace my roof. The company was very professional and had my estimate back to me the same day beating the other companies estimates by hundreds of dollars. If you have any roofing needs I recommend using K&J roofing, they replaced my roof with architectural shingles and replaced 7 sheets of plywood that were bad that I wouldn’t have known about if it wasn’t for them!
