I had to deal with one of your rude and unprofessional crew members during what was the mickey mouse show of moving your boom lift from 2nd ave to 1st ave on the allegheny jail job you guys have. There was zero traffic control and it was very dangerous the way he went about ramrodding the move and put the public at risk. Should have controlled both intersections on either end of municipal courts drive and let the few cars worth of traffic there flow through before making your move with your wide rig, but you didn't. Instead your worker with zero patience, zero PPE on (not even a hi vis vest) starts trying to erratically direct traffic. I'm sure we all wondering the same thing at first. Is this an addict from 2nd ave commons having an episode trying to direct traffic at a red light or is this a legit construction worker? Trust me, you wouldn't have known the difference based on his behavior. A few cars hesitate but start to move but it's not happening fast enough for your guy so he signals for the boom lift to come on in. He is now blocking off 2/3rds of the street and now the right turn (which was previously open) and is making the remaining cars in front of me turn left back into the city. Your worker continued to make the situation worse. When it gets to me, I tell him I'm going right. He tells me to stop arguing with him that I have to go left and be brings the boom lift in even more. I tell him i'm not arguing with you, i'm just a dude that's going right and you want me to go left back into city traffic where i would have to fight through 4-5 blocks of traffic and that's a problem. I'm not doing that, failure to plan on your part does not constitute an emergency on mine. Your worker got the boom lift to go right up to the hood of my car and he was trying to threaten and intimidate with his heavy equipment, it was completely unprofessional and unacceptable on any job site I have ever worked at where they even remotely care about safety. Eventually he Austin Powered the boom lift over a little more, looking like a complete clown. I was eventually able to drive on part of the sidewalk to make my right turn and leave that cluster of a situation. All this would have been prevented with some patience and 2 brain cells worth of energy into planning. I had to deal with your worker so you can deal with a 1 star review for your unprofessional employee. He is clearly not trained on safe practices on how to mob and de-mob while interacting with the traveling public. This led to him being frustrated and very unsafe. You need to train your people to do better. Let your employees know that they are the image of your company and you never know who you are talking to and what connections that person has to the City of Pittsburgh . I am not impressed with Kalkreuth at all.
