The Ladder Shepard
The first time I saw the Ladder Shepard from Kain Built I was skeptical. But I was so tired of fighting ratchet straps that were constantly failing or wire cable that fell apart. Every thing I tried looked like something the Clampetts from the Beverly Hillbillies show would use. So I decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did. What a great idea that was long overdue. It keeps a ladder secured to my rack with no rattles.
I few years ago I broke my leg when I landed wrong after jumping out of the bed of my truck. I had climbed up into the bed to re tighten a ladder strap that had loosened. It was making a racket but luckily had not come completely loose. I’ve had the Ladder Shepard on now for several months. The fact that I can secure my ladder from the ground, without having to get in the bed of the truck is wonderful.
The idea of the key lock definitely makes me feel better about leaving my ladder when I am in the field. I highly recommend the Ladder Shepard to anyone that has a need for the many jobs it can secure. I was also impressed by the quality of the materials. Even in the weather these first few months it looks and operates like new.
