Marsha and Jamie are excellent to work with and their crew came out and fixed the problem quickly. There has been snow and rain since then and no problems! I would call them again, thanks!
There was a conspicuous four-inch wave in the roof. I explained that my primary motivation for replacing the roof was to correct the wave. They assured me that they, KSR, could repair most, if not all, of the wave by replacing the plywood and reshingling the roof.
Upon completion, the wave showed little to no improvement. When I asked about the poor results, KSR told me that the wave was a structural problem and roofers don’t deal with structural issues. They offered to add supports to the roof at cost. I felt like I was in for a penny in for a pound, and against my better judgment, I threw good money after bad. The supports provided little to no improvement.
I have since had a builder correct the roofline. It looks great now. I was out about $8,000 with KSR and paid a second time to have the work done correctly. I didn’t have enough experience with roof replacement to know the difference between a structural problem and a roofing problem. Their confidence at the time of the estimate led me to believe I was in good hands. Bad on me for not getting multiple estimates. Bad on them for promising a result and begging off when they didn’t achieve it.
This might have been an outlier project that isn’t representative of the company as a whole. I think you can confidently use KSR if you know you only need new shingles and gutters. If you think the job is more complex, I recommend looking at other providers.
Someone give Marsha a raise because she is FANTASTIC. She (and her knowledge/expertise) single-handedly helped us go from no insurance coverage on the first inspection to a FULLY COVERED roof replacement through insurance. She is the reason that we, not only were even able to get our roof replaced, but that we used KSR over another company. She spent hours of her time working with us and advocating to insurance on our behalf to make this happen. I cannot recommend her enough.
Before I knew about KSR, I received a cheaper bid from another company but once I received the bid I never heard from them again. Customer service and professionalism makes all the difference and even though the bid was less, I would choose KSR a million times over.
On top of all that, once we got the ball rolling, our roof replacement was done so fast (in one day) and at such a high level of quality. There were no surprise charges and we knew exactly what to expect up front. This company is incredible and I will forever be recommending them to everyone I know. You cannot go wrong with KSR!
