They gave me a bunch of reasons why they would not [return my deposit].
Some stuff came back uncleaned that was washable.

Amazing company!! Everone we dealt with was so wonderful and caring with the work they did and the job they performed was top notch! We couldn’t have asked for any better! Wonderful wonderful company and employees!! They kept in touch with the plans through every step of the project and did as promised and went above and beyond!! If you need a job done, big or small, this is the construction company for you! I’dc hoose them again and again! A big Thank You to each and every person on the team!! 5 stars for sure! I’d give them 10 stars if it was an option!! Thank you JWI Construction!! My floors are beautiful, the paint job was amazing and everything else you did was awesome and that was because of you all!! We are so very grateful!! Many many Thanks!!

I’m a Electrical Contractor that has done some work for JWI and I can tell you that I’ve been around construction for over 27 years and I have never seen a company that is more detailed and professional all the way around!! I have seen some contractors that have done some shady stuff but this company strives for excellence !! I promise with everything that I have never seen a company that keeps the job site clean as they do which makes everything work better , be on schedule , and have the professionalism that they exhibit ! When this company leaves this job it will be 100% complete with great craftsmanship! And I have met hundreds of contractors and rate JWI at number 1

Would not recommend this company for cleanup. Furniture/washer was damaged and they lost my treadmill. Some stuff came back uncleaned that was washable. Management is hardly ever available to speak with and he doesn't act like he cares about customer issues. We lost more property because of them than the fire itself!!!

I rented a house from this company. Very nice house. rent was resonable and when there was an issue they would address it. I was late on my rent twice in 2 years and both times they worked with me and i paid a late fee. No issues. I gave a 30 day notice to vacate when my lease was up. Cleaned the house took pics. No carpet or floor damage just needed a fresh coat of paint. I expected fully to get my deposit back. This did not happen. They gave me a bunch of reasons why they would not. I asked for a detailed list of repairs and what they spent on it and I was told it was to much to total. I attempted to get a lawyer in the area but none would take my case as they all have worked for this company at some point. Just know if you rent from them you will not get your deposit back no matter how good a tenant you are. I posted my pics just so they cant say this is not true in their comments.

Worst company to deal with after a fire. Tried to get an estimate completed after the representative visited the site. Wouldn’t call back for a week and responded with a txt that they were too busy to handle the insurance claim. Very disappointed in the way I and my company was felt with while trying to get multiple estimates.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. A+

Edit - 5 years later: Unfortunately we experienced roof and siding damage in May of this year due to a large hail storm. Once again JWI met all of my expectations. Our house as been restored to it's pre-storm condition. Couldn't be more pleased. A+

I was told I could not have my own estimate which is utterly absurd. I deserve to see and compare estimates as I have to pay out of pocket for my deductible if I choose to use my insurance. I was being bullied into giving out my insurance information and would not get an estimate otherwise. What if I wanted to pay out of pocket? If you have a problem providing a free estimate than charge a fee. Don't bully potential customers by telling them they have no right to their own estimate. Further more I will be forwarding all information to the BBB. I would love hear back from this company about why John Stocker would feel this was approriate.
Update I called back today and John Stocker claimed they are to busy to do my estimate. However, the email he sent explicity said I couldn't have my own estimate and he only wanted to give it to my insurance agent. Run don't walk away from this company.
