Great experience from start to finish !! Highly recommend for a roof replacement. From the Project Consultant JC to the Roof Project Manager Joe, great customer service.Professional, detailed oriented, great communication with updates .

So far so good, Erich came out to discuss an issue we were having, and we weren't sure if it was going to be a roof or siding issue. Erich took the time to hop up on the roof, take a look at both the roof and siding, and walked us through what he was seeing and what he believes the issue was. Overall he was very thorough in his review and explained everything to us. I appreciated the time and effort he took to walk us through our options and the best fixes, and we decided to go with JW Tull. Will update this review further when the work is completed but wanted to give Erich a shout out.

I would highly recommend that you stay away from this contractor. I scheduled an appointment to have roughly 20-30K of work done in the back of my house. they came out quickly to do the estimate on June 13,2025. I did not hear anything for 2 weeks so I called and they did apologize and told me they will contact me in 1-2 days. This is now July 8,2025 and still no contact from them at all. I would avoid this contractor at all costs. The person That came for the original estimate was J.C. Ferenbach. Will never contact them again for any project that I have in the future and would steer all friends and family away from them. Only put 1 star because I am unable to put zero stars.

Installers were nice and professional. Joe the PM was very responsive to my texts and questions. Overall a very positive experience and we plan to come back to JW Tull for more work on our house and yard.

Great sales experience, honest and professional. Although I didn't go with J.W due to budget and insurance constraints, I was really impressed with Erich. He was professional, knowledgeable and never pushy. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood all my options. It was a genuinely helpful experience, and I felt he had my best interest in mind. If things had worked out differently, I would've been confident hiring this company.

J.W. Tull did excellent work on replacing our multi-hip roof! They were timely, communicative, and everything was perfection. We will 100% use them again and I recommend you do, too!

Quick, great communication from start to finish. This is the second time they have done a roof for us, first was a shake roof, this time asphalt. Both are great.

Earlier this year, after getting quotes for 20+ new windows and a new rear sliding door we selected JW Tull to provide and install the chosen Provia brand windows and slider.
Very impressed with the final results!

Problem solving, solid. Yes unfortunately we had some issues due to incorrect grid patterns in a few windows and incorrect directional opening of slider, but they quickly addressed and corrected

Cons
Small work group, they only had a two man crew and it took considerable longer than expected. Had three a couple of days for brief periods, but mainly the same two guys who rocked but were limited.
Communication, slower than I would have liked, felt like I had to chase a few times as delivery of windows seemed to take longer than was projected. I do realize with weather impacts and the smaller crew, bandwidth is affected. I'm patient, but sometimes I needed to push for responses.

Overall, I would recommend them for consideration when shopping for windows and doors for sure! Just prepare to be patient.

It was hard to get a definite date because of the rain. Very thorough job, sent me pictures of everything. JC was absolutely awesome. He came to the house, very down to earth we had great conversation, straight to the point but did not pressure me at all. He also loved my dog lol. The project manager was great. He called me to tell me some stuff fell in between the boards into my bathroom and they would clean up the mess. I took care of that part myself but he did come in to sweep up the piles. Everyone was very pleasant and great to work with. I definitely recommend JW Tull.

I had a bad experience with a storm chasing company and was referred by a friend to call JC Ferenbach with JW Tull Contracting. JC was able to work with the insurance company to restore full payment of the claim. JW Tull’s roofers were able to complete the job in 1 day doing phenomenal job and we love how the roof turned out! I highly recommend JW Tull for any home remodeling needs. Great job all around and expertise to go above and beyond doing it right way!

Just got my deck replaced by J.W.Tull and absolutely in love with it! From the very first phone call with Jason, to the free estimate with JC ( who was such a professional and very nice to work with) all along the work itself with Adam and all the guys was a very nice experience, they finished the job on time, left the house like nothing ever happened there and now I can enjoy a beautiful brand new trex deck

J.W. Tull Contractor Services is a good choice for performing roofing projects. The aspects of their work that attracted our business was their certification as a premier installer of the roofing shingles that we chose. The free estimate was a good deal and generally comparable with the other bids that we received. They were true to our expectations, with good communication, faithful adherence to Maryland's MHIC regulations, timely staging of materials, and protective cover of the perimeter and plantings around the house. The team for full tear off of the old roof and replacement with the new sheathing and shingles were timely, hard working, attentive to the tricky areas of the project, and completed the whole project and clean-up in one day. We have a good looking roof, no more leaks in our house, and a warranty for the work that will outlive us. I highly recommend J.W. Tull Roofing Contractors.

ESTIMATE was fully explained by Joel alleviating any worries we might have left over for prior contractors.
Only qtr star negative would be communication for customers when crews on site to know who to ask immediate questions. We figured out that messages to crew didn’t always get to management and/or back to us.so we had to ask both to be sure. Sure they will find a way to solve this within Tull.

Jason and his team were extremely professional and responsive to my needs for a full bathroom (approx. 7'×6') renovation project. I trusted in their expertise and it turned out beautifully. Once the project got started, everything fell in line nicely, achieving maximum results. Early 1900 mudwalls and 7 inch concrete floors were removed to the studs. Replaced with MMR drywall, porcelain tile, modern fixtures and a soft color pallette of my own design gave this small space a true transformation. J.W. Tull is the right contractor for renovating your home or business.

Siding looks great and Tull was very responsive to ensuring our satisfaction with work. Follow up was terrific to ensure job done according to specifications. There were some issues, but were corrected promptly.

We had our existing deck demo’ed and replaced by a four-season room. Tull did an outstanding job from start to finish. Once the project got started, everything progressed extremely smoothly. The quality of both the materials and the workmanship have met all of my expectations. Jeff is an outstanding project manager, and was totally responsible for the amazing results. I would recommend Tull for any job you may have, big or small.

I usually do not write reviews but have to share that the level of care and customer service experience received from this company was definitely exceptional. We researched and received several high and low quotes from other reputable roofing companies. We pay attention to every little detail when it comes to sales, service, product and warranty. JW Tull checked all the boxes. JC the project consultant was very knowledgeable, thorough, detailed and patient. So glad there are still companies like this that are professional and care, from the project team to the roofing workers. Prior to starting JC and Joe kept us informed on the scope of work. They completed our roof project in a day and cleaned up as promised. Kudos and a big thank you to JC, Joe and the entire team from JW Tull! We had bad storm damage to our roof and siding. JC came out right away and was knowledgeable and kind. The crew were quick and did great work. We are very pleased and would recommend them to anyone who needs work done!!

We just had 5 windows installed and the process was so easy from start to finish! The pricing was extremely fair, quality product, and a wonderful team. The guys that came out to the house were troopers getting the windows installed in some of the hottest days during the summer and they did a fantastic job. They showed up on time, were super kind (to both me and my dogs), and just overall did a quality job. We have another project that we’re looking to get done next year and I’m positive that JW Tull will be who I call!

We had under our deck enclosed with composite decking along with our steps redone and facia replaced. We are sorry we didn’t call Tull to do our deck because their workmanship is top notch. The workers were awesome and kept us informed as well as finishing the job in a timely fashion. The project manager was great also and gave us some good ideas and upgrades that we are so happy with. We absolutely recommend them!

JW Tull just completed a living room project for us where we combined 2 small rooms into 1 big room. The end product is amazing! They removed a load bearing wall, installed a 25' beam, faux beams, a support column, tons of trim, rerouted ductwork and electrical, installed hardwood floors, among many smaller things. As with any contractor job, there were plenty of hiccups and issues along the way. However, the combination of Jack (project manager) and Jeff (sales manager) always solved the problems efficiently. We'll contact JW again if we need future projects completed.

Our new roof looks great! Quality work done by a friendly, experienced crew and finished in a timely manner, including the clean up. The estimator, JC, is very professional and easy to work with.

noticed water stains on the ceiling. no clue when those got there. Called J.W. Tull and the setting up of the appointment to come out and look at this was very straight forward and simple.

JC arrived on-time and took a look at the roof and surrounding area and did not see any obvious source of the leak.

JC then agreed to climb into the attic and see what he could see there. while doing his investigation, he took videos Sao that he could show me, and he shared those with me, an added plus.

nothing obvious was discovered in the attic. but, JC provided a couple of possible theories, but nothing conclusive. it could have been a freak event during the 1/10 wind-driven rains we had. house is 3 years old, so any water running on rafters would not really leave a stain.

additionally, JC continued to think about this issue the day after when I called him by mistake and we chatted anyways and had another theory

point being, this company is top-notched, professional, and is not happy with just saying they can't determine the source of leak, and continue to look at the videos and try to find an answer.

this was my first experience with this company, and left me feeling pretty good about this. I would recommend this company to anyone. additionally, they did not charge any fee to just come out as many companies are doing. that speaks a lot.

They answered the phone, which is a win already as it's hard to get a contractor to even call back most times. They were friendly and gave me a quick appointment for the estimate. The guy that came was prompt and knowledgeable. I had the estimate in 24 hours. No hounding afterward. I would definitely recommend them!

Jason Tull is amazing! We had storm damage and as busy as he was he made time to get us on the schedule right away to protect us from further damage! Honest and professional! Wish more contractors were like him!

We used Jw tull for a deck project over the past summer. From the start our project was delayed numerous times. It was originally supposed to start mid May and ended up starting late June. Communication from the project manager the whole duration of the project was horrible. Without us asking every step of the way we would barely get any updates to know to what was going to be done and when. He let us know our deck was demoed the day AFTER it was already demolished. Thats dangerous when your deck is 12 ft high and you had no warning it was gone. The project was finally “completed” the third week of July.

The deck was supposed to include a privacy fence on both sides. This was part of every conversation with the project consultant and the project manager, yet somehow they neglected to write it up in the contract. After receiving our review after project completion Stephanie contacted me after and said because of the delays and service we received they were going to take care of the privacy fence at no cost, but it would take 3-4 weeks to get someone out to finish it.

About 3 weeks later we receive a call from Jason (I believe maybe the owner) saying he is trying to get this resolved. The project manager and the project manager we had dealt with were no longer with the company and he was cleaning up their messes. He said they underbid the project so he could not take care of our privacy fences at no additional cost as we were promised just weeks before. So we would be expected to spend thousands of dollars more.

Bottom line the worked performed by the field team appears quality, but the customer service, honesty, integrity and accountability shown by this company is nonexistent. I’d recommend looking elsewhere.

They installed my deck the way it was described and shown to me from the pictures. The installers were professional and explained each step while completing the job on time.

The entire process from A to Z was exciting and super easy making our choices for a new roof, new siding and upgraded gutters. Joel ( project coordinator) was very helpful throughout the entire project!
