To be brief (I hope): This company did a partial roof replacement in August, 2020 and repaired Ida damage in September, 2021. The total cost was $6,800. Unfortunately, a presale building inspection this February revealed serious roof deterioration resulting from poor workmanship and/or substandard materials, for which Juneau denied responsibility, failed to submit a timely repair estimate or return several phone calls. Another contractor eventually replaced the roof for $7,250.

Our subsequent claim against Juneau's insurance was denied as their policy only covered damage to other parts of the house from eventual leaks as the roof further deteriorated. Plus, their work carried just a two year warranty. In retrospect, our only recourse would have been to purchase a performance bond prior to start up, but something one usually doesn't consider when dealing with a presumably reputable company.

Anyway, Juneau-Odenwald probably does acceptable work on large commercial projects, but home owners might want to explore other alternatives.

Wayne sent his crew out to my house on the day we had scheduled. They actually showed up about 15 minutes early. The crew hurriedly began to lay down all of the material necessary to catch all of the nails and other debris that falls off of a roof during the job. All of my flower beds and lawn were protected. The crew then got on the roof to make short work of stripping off years of felt and shingles down to the wooden deck. They then inspected the deck to make sure there was no rot or damage anywhere. Our roof deck was secure and it was time for new felt and shingles. The entire job only took about five hours. I was thoroughly impressed with the job they did and the care they took to clean up afterwards. I was also impressed with the time it took them to complete the job. Wayne and his crew come highly recommended in my book.

I've owned rental properties for 10+ years and these guys don’t care about residential customers. They came highly recommended from colleagues for commercial work so I thought I would give them a shot for a small roof leak on one of my rentals. This company gave me the runaround for 2 weeks, costed my tenant a half day off work when the estimator didn’t call or show up, and ultimately never quoted the job.
