JRP roofing is the absolute best when it comes to business ! Never any issues and amazing communication, you cannot beat the reasonable prices . I appreciate all of you guys and they team for the immediate help and support , if you're looking for a team who cares you've found one !!
If you want a company to fight with insurance to pay for your roof JRP roofing is the only one !!
This company suffers from the inability to communicate with the customer. problems are as follows
1. I needed the original estimate to be broken out into the work the insurance was covering and the work we as homeowners were paying for. Despite repeatedly explaining this, the office staff became argumentative and I finally had to engage the insurance company to get them to understand what was required.
2. Once the contract was signed, JRP declined to schedule the work until I made a significant payment. The terms of the contract read "one third payment is due one week before work starts, one third payment is due the day work starts, balance of invoice due when work was completed." Upon pointing this contract requirement out they stated "well that's going to change!" Fortunately the estimator worked it out internally so work could commence.
3. Reroofing team showed up on day scheduled but since nobody spoke English they were not able to communicate what was being done. They left at the end of the day and didn't explain when they would return but did suddenly show up the next day without informing us to finish laying shingles. Fascia and soffit work was left unfinished without explaining who was coming to finish the work. This was late December. Debris cleanup was poor as we were finding handfuls of roofing nails in our yard. We notified JRP and suddenly a few days later two non-English speaking individuals were wandering around our back door without notice. They appeared to be picking up nails.
3. We explained we were going to be out of town part of January. We notified JRP of our return. A few days later a truck showed up without notice and an individual who spoke no English started working on the fascia and soffit. He left without saying anything about the gutters.
4. A few days later, a truck with several men showed up and explained they were here to do the gutters and said it would take about an hour.
5. I have $171 of remaining work left and have sent numerous text messages and emails inquiring on completion date and have received NO responses. My insurance agent has also made numerous attempts at communicating and all they received was an invoice for $6,133 payable upon receipt even though that invoice is not due until all work is complete which it is not.
6. I started this process in November 2024 and it's now mid February 2025. I have also found out my original estimator no longer works for JRP.
Owner contacted me and tried to insist work was entirely done on Jan 20th and tried to submit an unsigned certificate of completion to my insurance company. As stated fascia, soffit, gutter work wasn't done until Feb . Owner refuses to do anymore work despite contract covering insulation work. Owner is threatening liens despite work on contract not being completed
BEWARE Read your contract. Know your rights, workmanship is mediocre. Communication is terrible!
