Dave's Roofing

I had a roof replaced by dave' s roofing back in June 2024. The installer left off some of the contracted worked. I contracted Dave's to have the work finished. For the last 3 months Dave's has been sending out jack-leg installers to finish the work. The work that has been done is substandard. I gave them plenty of time to correct the substandard work before posting a negative review. With this weather emergency happening a lot of people will be looking for a roofer beware of DAVE'S ROOFING the work is substandard.

Whoever drove this van on 9/16, about 7:50am, with license plate #TPR740 Needs to learn how to drive a company vehicle. They cut in front of me, narrowly missing the front of my truck. I don't understand the rush, as I was still behind them for a few more miles. They'd have had PLENTY of time to make a lane change without cutting, when there was no room for them to do so.

Dave’s roofing could not have been easier to work with. We have worked with Kenny in the past and have developed a trusting relationship with him. Orion made the process easy. The roofing crew was extremely nice and did an excellent job of cleaning up. Follow up workers from Dave's, made sure everything was in order as they completed their work.

Dave’s Roofing is without a doubt the best roofer in the Upstate. They put a new roof on our home eight years ago, did an excellent job and anytime we have questions or concerns, they’ve been there for us. We recently received a letter from our insurance company saying our insurance would be canceled due to the condition of our roof per visuals from Google Earth. Kenny came out, examined the roof, and took pictures to show it was in excellent condition. We really appreciate everything they do to help their customers, both before, during and years after installation. Thank you!

I contacted this company for a quote and and general inspection of the roof because I had a leak in the roof. Tara told me that someone would be out to place a tarp over the damaged area until someone was able to look at the required repairs next Monday. This is went the issues started well not one showed up to place the tarp down, the following Monday no one showed up to inspect the damage so I Called the office and got message leave a message and we will be in touch several hours passed no call back so I called back on Tuesday and made contact with Tara I told her no one showed up for my appointment well my folder was lost, she said Kenny would be out late that day and he did. He said that Dave does the estimates and I should have it tomorrow well it took 2 days and I had questions about the scope of work so I called back to ask questions . I again had problems talking to someone finally contacted Tara she said she would address issues with Dave the(owner of the business) well apparently this is the only company that can not make contact with the boss because after several emails and phone calls back and forth I told her if I did not here back from them today after 2 weeks of trying to get the work done Forget it I’ll find a more responsive company unbelievable Dave’s Roofing.

Save yourself and avoid Dave's Roofing.

If you make the mistake of hiring Dave, do all you can to work with Tara exclusively unless you want to work with someone who attacks you with false claims.

A bit about my experience:

> No permit pulled when work started July 25th
> Work continued without a permit even after STOP notices were issued.
> I was sent on a 40 minute trip to the Building Permit office to pick up the permit when there was no permit to pick up
> Debris was left all over the yard
> I was told debris would be cleaned up by Fri., July 28 (2 days after work completed and I had already cleaned up the neighbor's yard) - it wasn't
> My lawn guy came out (after I was told the yard would be cleaned for the second time) and left because he couldn't cut the grass safely
> Aug 1, Tara offered to have Dave send someone to cut the grass, no response.
> Aug 3, Tara said she would ask that day and get back to me. No word.

When I tried to follow up on Aug 8, and asked for Dave to reply, he didn't.

When I called and asked to speak with him, he called me, yelled at me, and tried to hold me accountable for expecting him to take care of things that went wrong.

This would be a 1 star review if it weren't for Tara.

Dave's Roofing was the fourth business I called for an estimate and by far the most professional of the group. While the others either didn't follow up after providing an estimate (or didn't reply for my estimate request at all) Dave's responded quickly, came out sooner than expected, and we're able to schedule the job in a reasonable timeframe. The best part is, the gentleman that came out to do the work was extremely professional and took time to explain things to me (while working around my work schedule) in layman's terms.

He was very knowledgeable and did great work, even declining to consider shortcuts I mentioned (thankfully!). The office worked with us on payment and while it wasn't the most cost-efficient, I'm glad we went with Dave's Roofing and will be following up for an estimate on another job. Thanks!

I was happy to find a reputable company with knowledgeable roofers to help me through my repair. They have done everything to work with me as I go through insurance for reimbursement and have been very pleasant to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

From start to finish, my interactions with everyone was just amazing. They did a thorough job of finding the damage on our existing roof, gave us options for an insurance claim, and also quoted us a very fair price on a 20 year roof.

They were on time and worked from dawn to dusk in order to get it done in two days. There were a few extra charges that I was called about before I was invoiced… Seriously only about $360

From the start to finish every single thing was done professionally. The communication (Katelyn), inspection (Kenny), installation(hardest working crew we have ever seen, 2 layers of shingles removed, new shingles installed and some roof repair, cleanup all done in less than 7.5 hrs), price(1000's of dollars less than the other 2 quotes we received),clean up and follow up after was impeccable!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND DAVE'S ROOFING for any roofing project that you may need! We are one very satisfied customer! Great company.

They also replaced gutters. The work was perfect. My niece had recommended them after having some work done on their house. I was not price gouged they do great work. I will recommend them.

I had water coming in my house due to storm damage to my roof. I called several other roofing company's and could not even get anyone to answer the phone, when I called Dave's roofing Kalyn answered, she is so sweet, she was able to get someone out the same day for an emergency repair. Kenny and Kalyn helped me navigate the home owner insurance filing process and went above and beyond what was expected of them. There was also damage to my outdoor buildings so I had Dave's roofing repair those as well. Kenny explained the entire process so I knew what to expect through every part of the process. When the crew arrived to install my new roof it was done very well and the clean up was amazing, no damage at all to any of my bushes or grass.

From first contact to completion of the repair, I was pleased with the people & the job they did. Kalyn was especially helpful. I look forward to using them again with the installation of an attic fan.

The guys came out and repaired some loose shingles that fell due to high nailing from the original installer. They did a fantastic job and will use them in the future if needed

I have used them on three separate occasions now. The first job was a complex problem with a persistent leak that several other companies had been unable to resolve long term.

Two other jobs were a little more straightforward, but both were done well, on-time, and professionally.

I am pleased with the service from Dave's Roofing, professional team came by and completed my roof replacement in record time, proper after job clean up (they left no debris behind). The job was the replacement of a 22 year old modular home roof that had been through several rough storms over the years and had taken quite a beating and finally began to fail, I received my quote and was amazed at how inexpensive it was. Thoroughly pleased with their work.

Dave came out and gave me an estimate on the spot. We accepted his offer a couple days later and he stated he would be there by the end of the week. No call, no show. Unprofessional. If you don’t want to do a job then just say that. Don’t say that you will be there and then not show up. He got 1 star because zero was not an option.

Daves roofing was very pleasant to deal with. Every other company that came out to quote was at least 40% higher in price and offered way less. This company is very honest and gets the job done right. I would absolutely recommend to anyone in the upstate. If you want quality at a price you can afford, go to daves. i was extremely pleased with Dave's Roofing. They were prompt in responding to my needs and quick to send a supervisor to my home to review my project. The supervisor was excellent and helpful in offering advice and expertise as to what I needed to accomplish my goals. Dave's was quick to get on my job, which while not an emergency, was holding up other home repair needs. Their responsiveness was greatly appreciated. The installers did everything they promised with great efficiency and skill. The office staff was super in working with me and supporting my needs. Very happy.

Everything done was professional from start to finish. The email quote your giving is a nice factor . The office will continue to follow up with you. Has to be expected they want half down to start the job. They do a contract. The only beef I have is the extremely high fee using a credit card. It can be avoided if you use checks. That's like saying what is that today; checks. They did a beautiful job. I was very well pleased.

We experienced leaking into our sunroom. The roof above did not have roof waterproofing installed, and the previous roofer had installed 3 vents which were not needed, and real overkill. Leaks were coming from the vent. We had read very positive things about Dave's roofing and contracted to work with them. Unfortunately, during Covid-19 our type of shingle was not being manufactured, so we covered the leaks with tarp while we waited. Dave's called us immediately when the shingles came in and installed them the very next day. The crew of young men worked very fast but laid the waterproofing and new shingles perfectly. And because there was leftover materials, I was credited for the shingles and other items that were unused. Following the completion of the job, Dave's sent their manager out to inspect the job, so were were pleased about that. Highly recommend Dave's to anyone who's looking for quality roofing work. I would call them again if we need a new roof.

We had a few leaks around a plumbing boot and our chimney. Dave’s came out and made repairs. They were very professional and cleaned everything up when they were finished. We discovered after another rain that there was still a small leak, so we called, and they came right back out and fixed it. We were pleased with the work and will use them again.

Dave's Roofing did an excellent job on replacing our roof. We were in the process of putting our house on the market and discovered roofing damage that led us to file an insurance claim. We were under a very tight schedule to get the roof replaced and Dave's Roofing was the only company we talked to that was willing to get us in their schedule in a timely fashion. On top of that, their quote beat out every other roofing company we received quotes from. The work was top notch and they stand behind everything with a warranty that can't be beat. When we hit a glitch with our insurance provider that delayed our payment a few weeks, Dave's was very patient and easy to deal with while we waited for the insurance company to sort out their issues. Excellent company that is locally owned and has a long excellent reputation within this area. Don't hesitate to give them a call for your roofing needs.

As a general contractor, I have to find the best contractors who offer fair pricing, high quality workmanship and excellent service for my clients projects. On two different occasions I have had shingles blown off my roof. They came the same day I called them and replaced the shingles. Very impressed that they treat a small job the same as a complete roof job.

I own some rental properties, and over the past two years, Dave's roofing has done 19 roofs for me. They have always been very professional, completing the jobs on time. Their work is high quality, and if something needs to be fixed, they'll make it right. When I was growing up, I used to shingle roofs with my Dad, so I know what good work looks like. I have used other roofers in the past, but Dave's is the best in the area. Their combination of quality work and affordable prices is the best.

We have used Dave's Roofing to replace our shingles on our previous 2-story home and then again when we built our new home 5 years ago. He has also now completed 2 additional commercial building roof replacements for us in the last 7 years. One building was 10,000 SF and the last one he did is 5000 SF.
