We recently had Journeyman Exteriors install new Hardi Plank Siding, remove and replace a French Door with a new Codel French Door. new Milgard Windows, exterior paint using Sherwin Williams Defender Series and new 6" gutters with Leaf Filters at the base of the down spouts. I have to tell you, I could not be happier. Our house has never looked this good in the 32 years we have owned it. Steve is just wonderful to work with. His attention to detail is second to none. This attention is also displayed by all of his employees. Josh, Santana, Jesse, Neff, Ernesto and Crew and all of the others were very professional. If you are thinking about doing any work on your house, I would HIGHLY suggest that you give Steve at Journeyman Exteriors a call. You will not be disappointed.

We had a new roof and new siding installed. Also, all windows replaced and the deck rebuilt. Steve and the crew did quality work and did it on budget. They were a pleasure to work with.

Journeyman Exteriors replaced windows on our aluminum sided house. They were the lowest bid we got and they did excellent work and we are very satisfied. They look great and they were installed correctly. I probably wouldn't have done it right if I had tried to do it myself. I sure am glad I had Journeyman do the job. The installers were very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. The communication was great. We will definitely be contacting Journeyman to replace our siding in the future.

New patio slider to replace the one that had glass broken. All work done professionally and new slider works better than the original. Cleanup was completed and you wouldn't have known any construction work was completed earlier that day.

Siding was removed to properly install the new slider, as is done for original construction. Other companies wanted to charge more and cut off the weather-proofing integrity around the door, the flange, built by the manufacturer; others wanted to cut that off and use caulking to re-seal. Journeyman Exteriors knows how to do it right!

I have purchased my new house and remodeled it with new roofing, siding, and gutters in order to make it perfect and water-proof. Journeyman Exteriors was selected because of the experienced, personal building contractor that took the time to explain why he was the best for the job. Now that I have witnessed the results, I can tell anyone that my new house turned out to be the highest quality and with excellent workmanship.

Steve and his crew were great to work with. He provides good communication and quality workmanship. I had them install a new roof, repair some siding and then paint the whole exterior of the house. The work was performed on schedule and every aspect of the project was handled with care and precision. I couldn’t be happier with what they did and I plan on hiring them again in the future.

We had new siding, window replacement and painting in July 2023. I got 5-6 estimates for my large project and picked Journeyman. It was great to work with Steve directly on the estimate vs a sale consultant (which most of the other contractors used). Plus he is knowledgeable, was responsive to our questions and changes, and I feel he has a high level of integrity. His crew was friendly, professional and conscientious.

For the size of project, there were very few unforeseen issues. For these issues, Steve addressed each of them to our satisfaction. I definitely recommend Journeyman for your siding, window project.

Journeyman replaced my old, damaged vinyl siding with Hardie plank. They were able to fix the damaged wood underneath the old vinyl plus deal with some dubious wiring issues. The final results look great!

We hired Steve and his crew to replace 8 windows. His bid was reasonable and the product was of very best quality. He and his crew were on the job when they said they would be. He kept us posted on what happening with our project. They cleaned up completely after the project was finished. Hire him and you will get what you expect and on time.

We have used them twice now on installing windows. Steve is very personable and follows through. First time on a rental house very prompt. 2nd during Covid and on an older trailer house with aluminum siding. Very happy with the work. They framed out our windows did a great job. They had issues due to Covid getting the screens for all the windows at time of installation but Steve followed up and we got them

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
