The J.J.Landerman Company installed a new rubber roof on my house 13 years ago. This was necessary because I had had the roof repaired twice in the previos 5 years. The Landerman rubber roof gave me no trouble for the last 13 years. Unfortunately a leak developed last week. I called Landerman and two men came to my house. They inspected the roof, found two small holes, and repaired them, all in less than 1 hour. I recommend the Landerman company to anyone needing replacement or repair of a roof.

Working with JJ Landerman has been an absolute pleasure. Jenn from the company had been my contact through the whole project of getting my roof replaced. She was on it every step of the way, from getting the installers out the day after I called to get an estimate, to sending the roof to an outside source to ensure the installation would be done correctly. The scheduling was tough due to the unforeseen weather problems, with the non stop rain, extremely cold weather but Jenn was on top of it throughout it all. Now that the job is completed, I could not be happier. On top of having a new roof, they had the clean up done before I even noticed, dumpster removed and all. I had a great experience with J.J. Landerman roofing. I had a leak on my roof which is not new and called a few places to take a look and get quotes. J.J. Landerman roofing was very honest and said I only needed a repair and not a replacement. Other companies said they wouldn’t try to fix it since they were concerned the shingles would break. I mentioned to these other companies that I had a company (J.J. Landerman roofing) that was very comfortable with just fixing it and they still wouldn’t entertain it. When I mentioned this to J.J. Landerman roofing they could have easily said they agreed with the assessment however they stuck to their own opinion and made me feel very comfortable with just the fix. This saved me a lot of money and their price to repair my roof was very reasonable. Jennifer at J.J. Landerman roofing was very easy to work with and kept me in the loop throughout the process. Had a great experience with Jenn! She was always responsive and friendly. The work started and ended within the specified timeframe and looks great. The only downside was that some of my plants were crushed but I was given a credit to cover it. Overall, I would definitely recommend using them for your roof.

My experience has been wonderful. From estimate to work execution, everything was completed on committed time. The work was done exceptionally well at a competative price. They even ran a magnet over my driveway and lawn to be sure all stray nails were picked up. They left my driveway and yard cleaner than they found it. At the final settlement, the invoice was exactly as we agreed. No surprises.

The roof was expertly done and they cleaned all the gutters of debris from the yard.
I had issues with my downspouts since I never had them replaced or repaired for over 30 years.
I requested a quote from Jennifer and she gave me a discount. They came back and replaced all the downspouts that were bad. She told me the gutters are good so I don’t need to replace them.

JJ Landerman provided the best warranty and that was very important to me because I had the roof done about five years ago with someone my husband t met on a job site. The work was done so bad that my insurance denied replacing the roof due to poor workmanship. The guy did not answer his phone when my husband called.

I will refer my family and friends to Jenn whenever they need to replace their roof.

First time I made an appointment for the roofer to come check out the affected areas, it was a no call/no show. I called/texted/messaged them multiple times to ask where the technician/roofer was and no one picked up/responded, and I waited over an hour. At that point, one can understand why I was quite frustrated/upset (especially after having to change my morning schedule for the appointment).

~20 minutes after the hour wait, the receptionist called to apologize and stated she forgot to contact me about the roofer being out sick (e.g., she said she had planned to call me to let me know rather than text me at ~5 am about the roofer being sick, but had forgotten when she arrived at the office).

Given the high reviews for this company, we had high hopes but they did not make a good initial impression. I was disappointed to say the least.

My partner was willing to give them a second chance, and everything went more smoothly (e.g., roofer arrived by the appointed time). They were quick with providing the quote and called to follow up. Unfortunately, the quote was outside our budget, and we decided to go with another company.

Feedback for improvement:
*Perhaps give priority to respond/pick up phone calls for certain customers/situations (e.g., consumers with appointments scheduled the day of/same day)

*If the business is too busy for one receptionist to answer/respond to communications (e.g., phone calls), consider hiring more staff.

*Emailing/texting customers in advance if the appointment should be cancelled/rescheduled, especially when the company does not tend to quickly respond to communications/pick up calls).

5 Stars are only given to those that deserve it and these guys deserve 10 stars as far as my husband and I concerned. They actually are fully licensed and insured. My search also showed they do not have any complaints against them. They took care of us through out the process with great communication and professionalism. Recommendations were spot on, would not have known if they didn't point it out and educated me the importance of it. When the time comes, we WILL be using them again. Also they take care of you AFTER the replacement, when we wanted another gutter downspout they did it with no delay and when they say they are coming they are coming!

So, when it was time to put on a new roof, I got a very competitive quote from Jenn at Landerman roofing. This past week the crew and Jenn came and put on a new roof. It looks great. They replaced the rubber membrane roof for my flat roof modern home at a competitive price and have been very responsive in maintaining it by regularly checking the internal drains. They have also assessed and repaired the skylights. They have also done other demo and renovation work on a deck and screened porch. This company has been great to work with! They came over same day after a major rainstorm to do a fast repair on my roof leak and were very quick. Their team did a great job of explaining things to me and even called me a few days later to ensure the repair held up. Would highly recommend!

My experience with J.J. Landerman Roofing was very positive. It had all started with our roof having wind damage, we had also spoken with other roofing companies and were not impressed. Luckily I found J.J. Landerman Roofing on multiple sites listing them as top 5 roofers in the state of CT. When I called J.J. Landerman Roofing, I originally spoke with Damien, he made me feel comfortable and heard, unlike other roofing companies I spoke with. I decided to follow up, and they came to look and sent me their quote. Their quote came back very reasonable, compared to other roofing company quotes I had received. I decided to go through with the quote. Jenn, the owner, had reached out, and I had offered to come by their facility to review the contract and make a deposit. Instead of going there, Jenn offered to come to my home, which made it very convenient for me. Jenn came to my home, she was very courteous to my family and me. She and I reviewed the contract, signed it, and made arrangements for the deposit and date for work to be done. She had also left samples of shingle colors to look over which was very helpful. Jenn was very communicative throughout the process, and she was very understanding. The day of our roof being replaced, Jenn updated me through the process, she and her team were very fluent and quick. Her team was in and out in one day. They did a great job, I haven’t had any issues since. Jenn also helped me out, she got me the warranty on certain teed shingles as well, at no extra cost. J.J. Landerman Roofing is a great company and I would do business with them again.

Damien promptly answered a call about a roof issue that I was having and fixed it within 24 hours. He was prompt professional, reliable and went above and beyond to help me.

Our interaction with Damien was 100% positive, as was the roofing job he and his crew did. Damien was very communicative and very responsive to our inquiries He showed up on time and was well prepared to inspect our roof and quickly furnish us with an estimate, including showing us pictures he took during his inspection, which showed frayed, cracked and lifting shingles in several places. He also filed the necessary applications and permits with our town and property management company, plus scheduled a dumpster. From our first meeting with him to roofing completion (including approvals of applications and permits) was less than 3 weeks!

The actual roofing job only took two days, including ripping two layers of shingles before re-shingling. He and his crew did an outstanding job with clean up - you would never know we had our roof re-done except for how great it now looks! The dumpster was removed by 2pm the day after completion.

He took several pictures and posted them in Google photos so that we could download them for our files.

I just had my roof replaced by JJ Landerman and I’m very happy with the outcome. The entire process was seamless. From my initial phone call to request a quote ,to the finished product, everything was handled professionally. On Tuesday we noticed a small leak by my kitchen light and after having my plumber come and make sure all the pipes were good he recommended getting someone to come look at the roof and as a first time homeowner that scared me because of the unexpected costs and with the holidays come up I panicked but immediately started looking for quotes and shortly after I submitted my request I got a call from Damien and he was great from start to finish, quickly set a time to come out and meet with me after work and take a look at the roof and I was genuinely thankful for that because by having him here he quickly noticed a nail that was rusted and raised up and fixed it on the spot and put all my worries to bed!! From pre-bid to job completion JJL/Jenn Wynn was the point person. Jenn was there every step of the way, pre-bid on-site review, bid proposal with detailed specs and timeline , award meeting which was followed up with a mobilization/safety plan meeting. Worked well with roof project manager as well as property designees to provide comprehensive job updates. Jenn was extremely responsive to all inquiries and maintained an open, ongoing consistent communication channel that was timely in response and detailed in content so we were never not in the "know of it all". Great crew too, all professional, know their craft and diligent to get the job done right!
To obtain the manufacturer roof warranty JJL worked hand in glove with membrane manufacture to meet all required installation procedures, and onsite inspections leading to approval.
Even with supply chain issues, JJL/Jenn was able to deliver the job on time as per bid specs.
Job - remove stone ballast / old insulation/EPDM membrane roof, install new insulation, TPO roof, drain inspection, ductwork replacement, window/skylight replacement.

For our next roof job we're using JJL /Jenn !

We discovered a leak in our roof after some heavy rain storms passed through on Labor Day. Contacted a couple companies to get an assessment and estimate. JJ Landerman was the first to respond. They responded the same day I left a message and said they would have one of their employees (Damien) contact us. Damien called us the very next day and set up a date and time to come out for an assessment. The day of our appointment, Damien was punctual. He was very personable and professional and conducted a thorough assessment. He gave us his professional opinion on what the issue was (most likely a leak caused by a misplaced or missing nail) and that it was likely a minor roof repair. We set up another day for the following week for him to come complete the repair. We know how busy most companies are right now, and especially after the storms we've been having, so were very happy he was able to fit us in again so quickly.
The day of the repair, Damien arrived ahead of schedule and was able to locate the exact source of the leak. His original assessment had been correct (a nail had dislodged and left a hole in the roof). He completed the repair with excellent workmanship. He provided progress pictures as well so we could see each step, which was great. The overall process was quick and the price was very reasonable.
I also want to mention how Damien went above and beyond and cleaned out a section of our gutters that was near the repair area. That was not part of the request and was an unexpected but much appreciated surprise.
All around a great experience and would highly recommend JJ Landerman for any of your roofing needs. We will certainly be using this company again for any of our future roofing needs!

I'd like to leave a quick review about JJ Landerman's Roofing. I had some minor damage to my roof that needed repairing. A piece of flashing just under my roof became loose and was just hanging while getting worse over time. I called multiple companies trying to get someone out to fix it, but no one ever actually showed up. Damien reached out to me and asked when would be a good time to come out and check it out. We scheduled a day and he showed up on time and even fixed my roof the same day. Already grateful, I asked how much would it cost and he didn't charge me anything.

They did a great job in repairing and installing a new roof in just a day. Damien and Jen were great to work with and very responsive. Very happy with the results!

Our 7600 sq. foot church flat roofs in Hartford were stripped of 2 layers of old roofing and replaced with a new roof by JJ Landerman. The service we received from Jennifer at JJ Landerman, from the first phone call until the roof was complete was outstanding. I could not recommend JJ Landrmnan enough. The attention to detail and keeping the customer's interest first were excellent. They cleaned up the site perfectly, and when there was a slight delay, I was informed and keep apprised when the job would be finished. We received three bids, and they were very competitive in their bid.
When I was talking to one of the crewmembers on a sweltering day, I was thanking him for his work. He turned to me and said “Thank You” for giving us this work”. That is the feeling that I have gotten from this entire company. They are very appreciative of the work given to them. I highly recommend J.J. Landerman Roofing! Moving into my new (old) house it quickly became apparent that where my roof met my chimney was not done well when the house was re-roofed by another company prior to my purchase of the home. Every time it rained, a trickle of rain would run down my ceiling over my mantle. When I contacted J.J. JJ Landerman did a great job replacing the roof on our 22,000 ft commercial building. Jenn, the project manager, was a pleasure to work with! Communication was great between the roofers, Jenn and myself. We always knew what stage the project was at. Just wanted to share my experience with JJ Landerman's. My home had some minor storm/wind damage from last week and I noticed a small portion of my roof was compromised and a slow leak started coming from the dome light in my kitchen. Damien came out and investigated. He sealed some exposed nails and installed a piece of flashing to prevent water from getting in again. I wasn't charged for anything and he went ahead and stated that my roof isn't in need of replacing for a while. Not asking for anything with the service, time, and effort put in isn't something I see much nowadays. An honest company for sure. Will definitely be coming back down the road once my roof really needs to get replaced!

I have a large barn roof that was leaking in a few spots. Damien showed up on time and went over the entire roof. The leaks weren't too easy to find. After the next rain he was back, poked nails through from the inside and went back up and fixed all the leaks. He also used his drone to inspect the house roof which I knew had an issue from wind. He found two shingles that needed adjustment and one that had torn out and needed replacement... fixed it all when he was here for the barn. I'll be calling again when I need roofing work done. Very pleased.

What's even better is that Dan called me the next day to tell me they were in the area and would stop by to fix the leak that day. Very responsive and professional. I had a water leak and not clear if it was roof related or siding/flashing. I contacted 8 firms. Landerman responded same day; rep was on site and looked at the problem. Said it was siding issue (which was a correct diagnosis). Offered to caulk around area for free until I could get siding contractor. Landerman was only response that I received. Very pleased with responsiveness, professionalism. No attempt to sell me unneeded work.

I was informed my roof was not in immediate need of replacement but to be prepared to replace it in the next couple of years. I was not presurred in to doing the replacing it now. I called JJ Landerman because of a leak in my living room not knowing what could have been causing it. Daniel came out to my house as soon as he could make it, actually a day earlier than originally planned. Turns out I will most likely have to get a new roof some time next year. But Daniel took the time to caulk every open nail hole on my roof for free and I think it has fixed the issue at least temporarily until I can afford to put the new roof on next year. Very good Roofing company I had missing Shingle I call a lot of roofing company and only one company came out to look at my roof but didn’t have tools to fix my issues. So I decided not to go forward with them. So I decided to searching For another roofing company and I found JJ lander man roofing guy name Daniel came out in three day and arrived on time . Fixed my shingle free of charge. And look around my roof to make sure I don’t have anymore shingles missing about to fall off. Daniel did notice my Chimney needed to be repointed and I appreciated him explaining what was going on with my chimney instead of trying to tell me about my roof. I would definitely recommend J.J. Landerman Roofing company to anyone.

We had our entire roof replaced with a new roof approximately 5 years ago by another company that did such a terrible job that we had more leaks than before the new roof was installed. We had no choice but to try and rectify the situation. I did a great amount of research and obtained many quotes. From start to finish i was impressed with J.J. Landerman Roofing. They did such a thorough job inspected our roof and provided such a detailed quote. The workmanship was excellent and the response time from their president Jen was quick, precise and complete. I would not hesitate for a minute in recommending them for any roofing work.

Damien came to do a quick roof repair today, and it was great service as always. This was the third time we’ve used this company and it has been excellent every time!!

Damien came over within a few hours of my call to the office. His assessment of the roof issue was thorough and I could tell that he had plenty of experience with residential roofing based on the way he was explaining things to me. He was able to fix the issue on the spot and provide detailed photos of the repair (glad I don't have to climb up there!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommended J.J. Landerman for anything roofing related and will definitely go to them for any relevant work I'll need in the future.

The best customer service around! We got our roof done by these JJL in October 2019 and they did a wonderful job and communication was superb! Fast forward to May 2020, we noticed a beginning bee problem in our roof / ceiling area, and that they might be coming in through a weird corner section of the roof. So we called Damien up to see if they could possibly patch up the area, or had any suggestions for us. He answered back that they could be out here the next day (yay!), and take care of the problem. Not only did they patch up the area we pointed out to them, they went over the whole roof to make sure there weren’t any other issues! I would recommend these guys again and again, very happy and pleased every time with the JJ Landerman team!

JJ Landerman was referred to me by a solar company. Damien called me the same day and was able to email me a quote the next day. Damien was very responsive. Answered all my questions and found a solution to help me reach my price point. The next week Damien and his Crew arrived on time and were professional and efficient. I called J.J. Landerman to get an estimate on my roof, within an hour I received a call from Damien Tyler, he set up the appointment around my schedule. Damien examined the roof and thoroughly explained what needed to be done. He was prompted, knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Within a day I received a quote which was very reasonable. Great experience from beginning to end. 25 years ago, J.J. Landermam installed a membrane roof on my contemporary home. When it came time to replace it, I called for a quote. The price and specifications were excellent. The work was completed in one day by five guys, including cleanup. I would recommend this company with absolutely no reservations.

This is the second time I have used JJ Landerman Roofing. First time was for an inspection to satisfy my homeowners insurance company that no other roofer would give the time of day to do. This time to fix a single tab shingle that blew off in recent storm. Damien was again extremely courteous & efficient in fixing the problem.
