We hired Jerry Harris to renovate our Primary Bedroom and Bathroom suite, completely transforming a dated bedroom layout and bathroom layout into a separate bedroom space, walk-in closet, and bathroom. The results were amazing - walking into our bedroom and bathroom area now feels like walking into an upscale spa. They listened to our needs and wants and factored them into every aspect of the original quote, design process, and through the project to the final design. Our project manager Bernie was a trusted resource throughout, keeping in contact with us about every aspect of schedule, decision, updates to the plan, and at decision points. We are more than pleased with the work that was done on our kitchen remodel. Our designer (Kaitlyn) was awesome and listened to every bit of input we had and provided well thought out and beautiful designs. We were provided with fantastic vendors when it came down to choosing fixtures and materials. We even used some of our own vendors if we found something we had to have or were having a hard time finding exactly what we wanted.

Our project manager (David) was fantastic as well. He was attentive and informative through every step of the process. We knew what to expect every day. If we saw something that we had questions about or needed to be addressed, he was quick to provide a solution. He was available to us after hours when necessary to accommodate our work schedules and always responded promptly.

We had a very positive experience with JHR. Chris and Melody came up with a beautiful design of our backyard deck and patio using composite decking, stamped concrete, and stone knee wall and outdoor fireplace. Rusty executed the plan nicely. As with most projects, there were delays in the project plan due to various reasons, but we are very pleased with the end product and highly recommend their services.

I am a Virginia Beach attorney. We have a screened in porch and when built we used an online company to customize clear vinyl panels over the screens, but the problem with those is that you have to keep them clean and hook them around the windows with enclosures every season you want to put them up, and then remove them for the summer season plus they’re not completely airtight. So we looked into types of windows that slide up or down over the screened area. Jerry Harris has just started (2024) installing sunspace windows systems, all the panels, slide up or down or stay closed, it’s not glass windows. It’s a strong material that is actually better. You can also get it tinted and there are very few replacement parts if something goes wrong. This company is super organized, they came out in advance and went over all the details, they showed up on time as planned, and I couldn’t be more happy with the professionalism. I highly recommend them for renovation project, and I’m attaching a few pictures of the before and after of the sunspace windows.

3) Daily projected work scheduling information from the project manager. Some days were non-working days and it gave me the opportunity to run some errands or plan appointments.
4) Accounting transparency of large budgeted items, which also included some credits back to me.

Called for an estimate & it turns out they were 3 times as much as the highest quote on a bathroom remodel (not complete remodel, just more than just a shower), no vanity needed, the bathroom is too small for any countertops, no new toilet needed, then from bathroom remodeling companies (shower only) that have their own commercials on tv, I thought their quotes were astronomical until I called these guys, it makes their outrageous quotes seem realistic in comparison! I think, you could actually build an addition for the price they quoted me? Maybe not, with the price of materials these days?

I haven’t actually used this company HOWEVER I called to get an estimate. Although he wasn’t able to do what I needed, he referred me to a company that was and he was very pleasant over the phone.

The Jerry Harris Remodeling team were very knowledgeable and easy to work with answering the many questions I had during the design phase.
I had about 1200 sq.ft. of decking removed and a Sunroom addition added on with a complete kitchen remodel with structural changes. Wallpaper removal, plaster repair, carpet removal and new vinyl flooring and painting with additional remodeling throughout the home. Chris did an outstanding job overseeing this work and always answering my calls.

First off, Donald and Chris were great, as were most of their subcontractors. A few small hiccups (supply chain and stuff out of anyone's control) but overall the kitchen turned out really nice! Overall, we are completely satisfied! They do great work!

Exceeded expectations for direct ship cabinets! We wanted a Waypoint dealer and did not have one in our area so I took a gamble and ordered direct ship with Jerry Harris Remodeling since he had such great reviews. Not only did they make our remodel a reality, but they came in 38% cheaper than a ½ dozen other estimates. We had two cabinets swapped out with minor flaws, no charge and received within a week. The designer covered the unexpected by ordering several filler pieces for us so I could have flawless custom final product. Cabinets are GORGEOUS and complete the mid-century modern look I was going for. My wife and I are very pleased and highly recommend.

Jerry came to my house asked me how much I would like to spend on my kitchen I said 35 to 40 thousand . I explain to him I did not want new lighting or flooring all I wanted was cabinets countertop backsplash. He advised me to go to Home Depot. My impression was if I’m not gonna spend 60 to 100,000 on my kitchen he wasn’t interested. I’m not a contractor maybe my price is a little ridiculous like the way he made me feel .

We wanted the bath tub surround removed and replaced. Rob and Sterling took special care not to scratch or mar our floors or the new bath tub we have. They treated our home as if it were their own. Their work is beautiful and we love showing it off.

Jerry Harris Remodeling completed several exterior projects on my home including: demo and replacement of a failing garage wall, replacement of rotten siding and trim, custom windows replacement, exterior door replacement, gutter and downspout replacement, and painting of entire house exterior. I was pleased with the whole work process from first contact to the walk-thru estimate to how the contract spelled out all the details of the job, including when each phase of the work would start and be completed. The crew performing the carpentry, masonry, painting, gutters etc were all experienced professionals and did everything I asked for. All the employees were super easy to work with and kept me up to date on the job every step of the way. We hired Jerry Harris to install 2 lvl beams in our family room to replace 2 load bearing columns. While it doesn’t sound that hard, it was quite the project and we had several companies who did not even want to give us a bid after reviewing the structural engineering plans. We ended up getting estimates from approximately 5 other companies. While Jerry Harris was not the cheapest, we really liked their overall process. We’ve done many renovations before, and it was important that we were kept informed of the progress, any issues, etc. during the duration of the project. From the start, you have an initial meeting with the individuals who are going to be in charge of your project. Our project manager was Rusty, and he was a pleasure to work with. He always kept us informed of what would be happening everyday/who would be showing up to do the various work. He was very responsive to any questions we had and quick to address concerns. Like any project, nothing ever goes 100% smoothly, but we were happy with how issues were handled. We were emailed a progress report every Friday, which showed us exactly what was left to be done and the expected dates they would be finished. Prior to final payment, we did a thorough walk through and were able to make a final checklist of any items we felt needed to be done prior to them wrapping up for good. They completed every single item on the checklist in a very timely manner. Additionally, they do very solid work. They do not cut corners and the quality of their work shows in the end project. Overall, they are a very well run company, very professional and easy to work with. We would definitely use them again.

We went with Jerry Harris Remodeling for our Sun room addition (which also included changing out windows in our Master to accommodate the new roof line, as well as replacing the double doors at the back of our home and replacing some floor where the old door had leaked). They were very accommodating of our desires and incorporated them into the design. Excellent communication throughout the entire experience by the entire team. Their attitude the whole time was always, "If there's a problem, we'll make it right", and they came through in spades. We had called several contractors to get a quote to update our kitchen. We had worked with Jerry Harris Remodeling before to fix another "contractors" work and while they were not the cheapest they had the reputation and genuineness we felt comfortable with. There were a few bumps along the way but none of them were from Jerry Harris' team but their vendors. While I would have preferred a schedule or timeline of the work so I could be prepared (WFH w/ pets) they were very communicative and kept us updated with everything. Everyone was very nice and didn't show their annoyance with all my questions or indecision when picking out pieces. Our kitchen is beautiful and we will definitely be calling them again with future work.

We remodeled our large master bath with Jerry Harris Remodeling and we couldn’t be happier. To start with, this was not a remodel we planned for, our 30 year old tile and fiberglass failed and we found ourselves with water dripping through the downstairs ceiling. I had heard great things about Jerry Harris from my neighbors so I thought I would get a quote — that quote was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Jerry’s construction knowledge is apparent immediately and he’s extremely easy to talk to. He gave me advice, let me know what the process would entail and then explained what products he uses. So I wanted to get a new remodel shower wall and beautiful work it turned out to be. It looks so good it's "sexy". I would have them come back for any other future remodeling or repair needs.
