We recently had Mr. Allen repair several damaged bricks caused by the December 2023 tornado in Clarksville. We are so pleased with his quality of work, knowledge and friendliness too. He stated has 40+ years of experience and we witnessed that; he is very thorough and meticulous. Our family would highly recommend Mr. Allen.

After the heavy rain and many storms we have all recently encountered, the mortar for my front porch steps washed out. I called Jerry to come take a look, and not only was he professional and over-qualified for the job, but he was eager to help and take this stress off of my plate. I was worried that it would be an expensive fix, but Jerry gave me a very affordable price and delivered an outstanding end product. Ours was a relatively small job but Jerry treated it like it was the most important job he had to do. We needed a stone facade removed from the gas fireplace in our family room. I called Jerry and he said that was absolutely something he could do for us and quoted me a very fair price. He showed up to our home with his helper the next day, took great pains to protect the finishes (flooring, surrounding furniture) in our room, and made quick work with the task. Afterwards they meticulously cleaned up behind themselves and disposed of all debris.

We interviewed 5 Chimney/ masonry contractors to rebuild our chimney. Jerry was the most knowledgeable and most experienced contractor and offered excellent suggestions and recommendations. Jerry did a beautiful approximately 6 foot rebuild to the top of our 40+ year old damaged chimney. He did such an artistic match and layout of the new bricks with the old ones that, much to our surprise, it is basically unnoticeable that the bricks are slightly different in color and size. His price was fair and the work and communication were exemplary. We appreciated that he is very hands on with his work. In other words, he doesn't just send a crew out to do the work and then later inspect it. He is THERE doing the work. However, I would also like to compliment his crew. They were friendly, courteous, and it was obvious that they take great pride in their work and are not just there to get a paycheck. This was a large project that could have left a mess, but cleanup was absolutely immaculate. I texted Jerry at 7:50 in the morning and by 2pm that afternoon (and it was Saturday), my brick repair was done! Jerry was so quick to respond and did an AMAZING job repairing the brick at the top of our driveway. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Jerry and his crew. He consulted with me in a timely manner, and was quick to call me back, and give me a quote. from the beginning of our encounter to the end, I was very pleased. He started on the date and time we discussed, and he was respectful of my property by keeping our space organized, and as clean as he could while working. Jerry Allen did an excellent job on my masonry repairs. My homes brick and foundation were damaged in multiple areas from the Tornado and he took the time to make it look better than prior to being damaged. BEWARE, This was a Horrible experience. We hired Mr Allen to replace a retaining wall. His work could not pass the Building Inspector's inspection because he was cutting corners with the foundation. He left 36 year old broken block, brick with failing mortar joints in place and poured concrete over the damaged material for the new footing. Then my wife also caught him sweeping debris in to those block to fill them up. Then all of his work had to be torn out. I had to find another contractor to come in to straighten out his mess and complete the wall. UPDATE, we went to court today and Mr Allen's law suit was dismissed, The Judge told him that he was obviously in over his head. If you question what I am saying just check the Clarksville Tn Circuit Court Docket. UPDATE: we finally went to trial in March 2025, and of course the judgement was against Mr Allen and he has finally paid us the amount of the judgement. Good Luck if you hire this guy, you'll need it!

Jerry repaired some cracked brick and mortar on an exterior wall of our home, as well as cracks where our front steps joined the front porch. He provided a reasonable quote and did the work in a professional and timely manner. We did not have any extra brick to use as replacements for the cracked ones. To match it meant the brick would have to be bought in bulk, even though we only needed a few. He was able to find a match for our existing brick that is so close that, honestly, I can't tell now which ones are the replacements! Excellent experience!

Jerry Allen is who we will continue to use for all our brick work. He re-did the bricks on our 1976 side porch and did a fantastic job.

1) Showed up on time for the estimate. He was very patient and professional in offering ideas and advice.
2) He communicated well and kept us informed of his progress on the job.
3) He kept the work area clean and organized. We never heard any loud music or profanity while he worked.

Jerry is fantastic. Not only does he do excellent work at a fair price, he’s responsive and prompt. We had a freak leak in our basement - discovered the previous home owners had buried an unused dryer vent in a flower bed and water leaked in. Jerry removed it, and patched the hole with some extra bricks we had. Start to finish was about an hour. He cleaned everything up and put our drain spouts back too. Highly recommend him and we will use his services again for any of our masonry needs.

We needed help with some cracks in our fireplace. Mr. Allen responded quickly, very respectful, helped us with our issue, very honest, and was very reasonable with the cost. I highly recommend him and would use him again!

Over time the brick steps on our porch had severely deteriorated and had become unsightly. We called Jerry and he was able to come the next day to make our steps like new. We are extremely pleased with the work Jerry performed and would highly recommend Jerry Allen for any Masonary needs you may have.

We wholeheartedly recommend Jerry! We had a tree fall on our house from a tornado that caused damage to our roof and chimney. Stones were knocked off of the chimney and the chimney caps were crushed. Our chimney is two stories and the roof has a high pitch. We contacted several masons and none of them were willing to do the work. They either said it was too much trouble or they only completed commercial jobs. Jerry came out and took on the work for us. Jerry did a terrific job and tackled the challenging height and roof pitch. He corrected some of the mistakes that were made with the original stonework and repaired some other damage caused by the tree to the stonework on the house. It looks great! Jerry is knowledgeable, personable and a true master stonemason. Thank goodness for Jerry! He will be the professional we call anytime we need stonework!

Jerry did a great job repairing damaged mortar and fixing loose stones on stone walls, chimney, and columns. He took lots of care to match the mortar color and explain the process.

I highly recommend Jerry Allen. He is very professional and is a real craftsman. Storms severely damaged a portion of the outside brick wall to my house. When he finished the repairs, I couldn't tell if the wall was ever damaged. He worked diligently and completed the work in a timely fashion. GOOD JOB!

Jerry did great work at a fair price. He kept us informed through the entire process and was easy to contact if we had questions. He was also very professional and much more reliable and trustworthy than chimney repair companies we tried to use in the past. The job required him to tear down and rebuild a decent portion of our chimney, but he was very careful about not causing any damage to our roof or yard and cleaned up so well that our backyard looks better than it did before he came.

We will call him in the future for any chimney or masonry issues we may have and have already recommended him to a neighbor who is also needing chimney repairs.

Entire chimney rebuild after determining that loose or missing mortar joints, cracked or spalling bricks and cap could not be repaired to prevent interior water leaks. Old bricks were saturated with moisture.
This 60 year old chimney was past its life.
Jerry was knowledgeable about process and did all the work himself.
He sourced a matching texture brick for my painted brick home.
He maintained an orderly work site and was careful of the plantings and the black
shingle roof and light mortar.

I recommend Jerry for masonry repair. Jerry repaired cracks in my outside of my brick home. He replaced bricks and tuckpointed. Although the brick could not be exactly matched, Jerry did well in finding bricks that are very close and look very good. On my chimney, he repaired damaged joints and installed a concrete cap. All work was done in a professional and workmanlike manner. Jerry communicated very well from the estimate through completion of the work.
