Jason, J.P., and the entire crew of Jenesis Roofing were amazing. They were on time (ahead of schedule, in fact) and did a great job! There are a lot of vultures out there in the roofing business - feel comfortable knowing that Jenesis Roofing is there to help serve YOUR best interest.
UPDATE : The Jenesis Roofing team REALLY needs to work on their communication and organization skills. After the completion of the initial roof, there have been so many confusing/frustrating moments with this team. For one, I decided to do a sweep of my 200 sq foot grass lawn for extra nails (I have two young children and a dog that play in the backyard). I thought I might stumble across one or two, but never thought I'd come up with the 60+ that took me less than 5 minutes to pick up (see attached photo). It just showed a lack of basic effort by their team to do any clean-up of the area other than the big roofing chunks.
There was close to no follow-up on anything that I brought to their attention. I was told that they would sweep my lawn again... they never did. I was told that they would paint a patch of metal trim they promised to do... it took me following-up multiple times to get it done. I was told that they would reimburse me for having to replace security camera wiring that they shredded while replacing my roof... I still haven't gotten anything from them. I asked them to send an invoice to my insurance company... it took them weeks to get it done. In short, I just got tired of having to contact THEM, instead of them owning their own work and being proactive about reaching out to me.
Finally (and similar to the previous piece of criticism) I would have random workers showing up (unannounced) to my home and setting up ladders on my roof as far out as THREE months from the completion of the roof. I understand that inspections need to be done, but they claimed on three separate occasions (setting up ladders each time) that the city inspections were going to be done that time. Every time they set up new ladders (again and again), I would contact their office - many times the office didn't even have record that their own team was setting up ladders that day! I never knew when city inspections really were and I never got follow-up as to why they had to come out time... and time... and time again. Just this last month, they set up ladders on my roof again (unannounced) for the fourth time - it wasn't until I had to contact them before I was told that a pipe joint did not meet code with the city inspections and they had to replace it.
To this day, I still don't know if everything has passed inspections or if they plan on randomly jumping on my roof unannounced. Wouldn't you think that the homeowner should know about these things more than three months after the roof was completed? You would think so, but once again... I've just gotten tired of asking them for follow-up over and over again.
