J Allen Construction did a kitchen enhancement turning a pantry under the stairs to a beautiful coffee bar and new appliances! They also created a window encasement to hold my stained glass panel. When a mutually agreed upon subcontractor derailed our full-gut bathroom timeline - John adapted quickly to the issues, solved any problems our old house threw his way, and communicated every step.

I could not recommend a person more highly for unfettered access to our home when we weren’t available, the care he put into the finishes, and the attention to detail with sequencing our project. We will use him again soon on our next!

John came highly recommended and his work has lived up to his reputation. He changed out an old bath shell for a walk-in shower kit with a sliding glass door and pre-fab walls. The installation went quickly and without issue and the finished work looks terrific. My wife and I are hoping to work with John in the near future on a kitchen reno and another bathroom reno.

John and his team did an amazing job! He replaced my tub/shower, vanities, and vanity lights, and everything turned out great, and I know if I needed anything he’d come back and take care of it ASAP. They communicated so well and got everything done in a reasonable amount of time, even while another crew was working throughout the house & in the same rooms as well. John and his team were so easy to work with, and his prices were super competitive. I’ll definitely be calling him for future remodels!

We truly can't say enough nice things about J. Allen Construction. To hit the high points, John did what he promised, in the timeframe he promised, on budget with top-notch materials and workmanship. The patio room he built for us truly exceeded our expectations. John and his team worked every day that weather permitted, cut no corners and cleaned up every evening. His quote was 1/3 less expensive than the Lexington based Big-Boys for the same project. Would recommend them 100% with no reservations.

For my complete kitchen renovation, I talked with several contractors and J. Allen stood out from the others. We had to remove two walls to open it up and then start with a blank canvas. John Allen was with me every step of the way; taking care of my furnishings, going to appointments to choose cabinets, flooring, and countertops, and communicating every detail.

Our experience with J. Allen Construction, LLC was extremely positive. He made no promises that he could not fulfill in a timely manner. If there was something that had to be delayed, he notified us in advance. The crews were pleasant to work with, and they were very flexible. Mr. Allen was accessible to us almost every time we had a question. We thought his work was reasonably priced. He also made some suggestions that improved the finished product. The work he and his crew did for us was to take our guest bathroom down to the studs and basically rebuild it from scratch. We also had our kitchen and family painted, and his painters did an excellent job. We had an old sliding door to the family room replaced with a French door, and it looks great. We have already recommended Allen Construction to friends and family!

Im not sure if I can give J. Allen the review he deserves! We are so happy we found John of J. Allen construction. We needed a complete renovation of our master bathroom. We contacted John for a quote and he immediately responded and even came out on a holiday to take a look! After a day he already had our quote ready. John and his crew did an amazing job on our bathroom. John had his work cut out for him with installing a VERY heavy cast iron tub, shower walls, new floors, new vanity, new paint and a new light fixture. We thought the light fixture wasn’t going to work in our space but John figured out a way to make it happen and even customized a piece to make it work! Not only did John do an amazing job on a project that was at times a little trying he was an absolute joy to be around. He was so friendly, down to earth, respectful and kept us updated on everything going on. The project was done in a timely manner, too. I have already told lots of other people about J.
