We had an amazing experience with Alex at Iron River. They took out our casting island and replaced with a lager island. His communication was top-notch always letting us know what was happening each day. All the subcontractors were very professional and did great work. I could not be more happy with our project. Will be looking to use them again for any future projects.

My wife and I were looking to replace a 25 year old deck on our home. I had already received two quotes before I contacted Iron River. Brad came out from Iron River to assess the job. He could not have been more professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was very thorough on the process, costs, and timeliness for completion. Their quote was very competitive, and we decided to roll with them.
Not only did they do a phenomenal job in terms of looks and quality, but they couldn't have been a better crew of guys. Jesse, Jason, Garrett, Adam, Josh, Wyatt, James, Rhett, and the project manager, Brad.
The finished deck looks incredible. We couldn't be happier. We just had our son's grad party in our backyard and got a ton of complements.
Bottome line: their price was very competitive, they go above and beyond in quality and service, and the end result was fantastic...and that's what matters.

My roofing project started out as a nightmare. I spent over a year stuck in an insurance claim mess, working with two different contractors who were unreliable, terrible at communicating, and ultimately left me feeling defeated. I honestly thought I’d never get the claim approved and was bracing myself for a huge financial loss.

Rob Rosengren was a total game-changer. He took a claim that other contractors had declared “dead” and turned it into a fully approved roof, gutters, and garage. He was a phenomenal communicator and truly fought for me every step of the way. Rob went above and beyond in every interaction, saving me an enormous amount of money and relieving so much of the anxiety I had built up during this process. He figured it out when no one else could.

When it came time for the actual construction, John Coady stepped in and made the entire experience seamless. He was easy to talk to, incredibly professional, and made it a priority to keep things smooth and stress-free. Thanks to him, I didn’t have to worry about the logistics or execution—it just got done, and done well.

Highly recommend getting a bid and using Iron River Construction. My project manager Alex and his entire team were top notch. Due to some wind damage, we had to redo our vinyl siding. As it was several decades old, we decided to replace everything and contacted Iron River for the estimate. Rob Rosengren and John Coady made sure to get the details ironed out and the job done right. The house turned out great with its new blue siding (previously white).

From beginning to end Brad kept in contact regarding timelines and expectations. While this wasn't the cheapest quote I got it was right in the middle between the extremes. You definitely get what you pay for.
Iron River took out the old deck and replaced it with a lovely replacement. They addressed some other issues found during the deconstruction with ease and competency. One of the biggest was a rotten sill that needed to be addressed.

Iron River Construction is simply the best option when pursuing a home improvement project. We solicited many bids from various companies in the area for a whole house siding project. Rob at Iron River was the most thoughtful, thorough and caring professional from the moment we met him. Although Iron River was not our cheapest bid, they were by far the best which is a credit to Rob's approach and process. Upon signing with them, we were handed over to John who was our project manager for the duration of our effort. John was attentive, present, and incredibly responsive. His Crew lead Julio was at our site the entire time that the crew was working and was always communicative, gracious and diligent in leading his team. After getting quotes and checking references on several contractors, we hired Iron River Construction to replace our deck. At Jeremy's suggestion, we used TimberTech composite decking and Westbury railing. Our experience with Jeremy, Dan, Evan, and Luke exceeded our expectations. They were very professional from beginning to end. The team's focus on detail and getting everything right even in late November weather was impressive. They clearly knew what they were doing. Like many people in Minnesota this Spring I was flooded by information from roofing companies wanting to offer their expertise in looking for hail damage after other claims in the neighborhood. Recognizing my roof was almost 20 years old in need of planning a replacement I chose to call Iron River instead of no name storm chasers. They had done an awesome job on my deck replacement last year. I had previously met Andy Hoem on that job and trusted his opinion. While looking at the overall condition of my aging roof he also recognized hail damage, and I contacted my insurance company. Andy met their appraiser onsite, and I was relieved to find the insurance company agreed to the total roof replacement. He was awesome on following up with all the details and kept me updated along the way.
The roofing team completed my large roof in one very long day and did an immaculate clean up.

Iron River recently completed my new deck and I couldn’t be happier with the entire process from beginning to end. From the proposal meeting alone, the professionalism and attentiveness that I received with Brad Bowers (Project Manager) far exceeded the experiences that I had with other construction companies. I have an HOA with specific product requirements and Iron River’s estimate was within $200 of the other quotes I received. My old rotted wood deck was replaced with Trex Transcend composite decking and a Westbury Tuscany railing. Brad, Jason, Josh, Luke and Tyler are all amazing at what they do. Truly impressive how efficiently they worked and how clean they were! No mess at all. They were very friendly. Brad was very thorough every step of the way, always quick to respond. I would recommend Iron River and hope to use them again for future projects that I’m planning.

I had a GREAT experience with Iron River. Brad B was a really good resource through the process. Helping me decide on size, stair location, colors, etc. was something I got little to no help on when I got other bids. They were affordable and efficient and even came back when the deck was finished to make sure everything was perfect/fix some minor hiccups I would’ve never noticed. Highly recommend!

These guys were great! I reached out to several companies when we decided in the Fall of 2023 to have a deck put on our house. Only two replied - one was Jeremy from Iron River. The other (I won't give the name - I am sure they're nice) sent a sales guy who came with no examples of product until I asked him to show us - he was really only a salesman. Jeremy brought samples of the railing, the decking material, and pictures from other projects. He spent time explaining what they would do and listened to what we were wanting. This changed a few times and Jeremy didn't flinch but rolled with my alterations until we landed on an ideal plan. He told us he was not just the salesman but also the project manager and proved it by showing up at least once a week during the build. He was involved in addressing all aspects which was super comforting as I've had some bad experiences with disjointed communication between sales persons and workers. Now...the crew Jason, Jesse, Josh, Adam, Wyatt, Luke, and Garrett again, they were great - super respectful and didn't get annoyed when I would check in everyday with what they were doing - I did bake them cookies so that may have helped : ). I work from home and they were willing to accommodate me when I needed a bit more quiet. One thing I truly appreciated was they themselves seemed to work well together. And unlike many other construction crews - did not have a super loud radio to disturb me OR my neighbors (who actually commented on how pleasant and unusual that was). We are SO SO happy with our deck and have been spending a great deal of time out there. Oh - we got the rain escape so the patio under the deck stays dry in the rain (unless it's super windy). This has been a fabulous investment and one we will enjoy from many years to come. Thank you!

My husband and I were excited to have a new deck built on our house this spring but we had no idea who to hire. Andy and his crew from Iron River Construction did an exceptional job replacing my roof due to hail damage. Andy made the process painless and worked with my insurance company, which was a total pain to deal with, but he was happy to handle it. Some roofing companies do a really poor job with the install and cleaning up after the work has been completed. Iron River went the extra mile to make things look great! I can't recommend them enough 5/5. Andy really went the extra mile to ensure a wonderful experience with Iron River.

Jeremy, the project manager, was timely in meeting with me, fully explained my options for the deck, and then when I chose to go with them, explained the process and timing. This was our first time using a company like Iron River. We’ve all heard the horror stories of renovations - the missed deadlines, incomplete work, changing project scope and ever-increasing costs. So, we decided to try Iron River. From the first meeting with Rick, we knew this was the correct route to take. He laid out a project schedule including when we needed to have our tile, hardware, etc. decisions made and gave us a general budget for each item. This was incredibly helpful as we had no idea what any of these items actually cost. It allowed us to use numerous small budgets to stay inside our project budget.

Rick was onsite at the beginning and end of each trade and communicated accordingly. As someone who works from home, this is incredibly valuable during a project. Let’s face it, construction is messy. But I know Iron River kept our home as clean as possible with a general cleaning after each trade and a deep clean upon project completion. These details really give a homeowner confidence.

We will certainly be using Iron River for our future projects. Great company. Great people.

We had our basement refinished and working with Alex and the team was nothing but exceeding our expectations. We had three companies review and bid the project. Iron River came up in the middle but their attention to details and organization is what sold us. The kept the entire project on time, even when in reality we were slowing it down due to final selections. Their quality of build was excellent and everything turned out looking great. What should be mentioned is how they handled a problem. We chose a particular paint color for the cabinets but when we saw the result we thought it was too dark. Rather than say "that's what you chose" or "this is will things down", Alex said "no problem, we will get it taken care of and won't effect anything. We will get the crew in to make up for time." Their above and beyond great service is why I would recommend them without question.

Any issues/changes were quickly addressed and resolved. I would 100% recommend Iron River and all of their team members. They did a great job bringing our remodel to fruition.

Iron River did a master bathroom remodel for me. Rick was the project manager. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and organized. He provided a construction schedule ahead of time and stuck to that schedule throughout the whole process. All of the contractors he brought in were friendly, professional, and did great work. I love my new bathroom and it turned out even better than I imagined. I did reach out to Rick for another small project after having water damage from an ice dam. Same great experience with Rick and the team. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. I will be calling them for any future projects I may have!

I had the pleasure of having Iron River Construction support us through the process of having a new roof installed along with 1/2 of our home being resided. What really set this team apart was the way Rob Rosengren handled all of the interactions with insurance and managed the claim and any fallout or rework needed with them was a big relief as any work with insurance can be frustrating. Then when it came to the work completion I could always rely on Vadim Bondarenko to ensure the work was done timely and with quality. He kept me informed of any decision points, any nuances with permit collection, and other odds and ends. He ensured his team was where they needed to be and when. Additionally he took the time to come out and check things as they were happening. Lastly - he took time out of his vacation to check in and make sure things were going as planned.

The team at Iron River Constriction, specifically that of Rob and Vadim, were amazing to work with and given the engagement was for nearly a year thru to completion it felt like they continued to care were available. Special thanks to that team and I highly recommend this organization to support others and their construction needs.

We reached out to Iron River Construction for a bid on tearing down our existing wood deck and replacing with a larger composite deck. We called Iron River because of all the positive reviews and referrals we saw online, and on the NextDoor app.

Brad came out to bid the project, gave us valuable input and suggestions on the design. He was prompt, honest, and explained all of the ins and outs of composite decking. We agreed to have them take on the job; tearing down the existing wood deck, adding a second section for a future hot tub, and using low maintenance composite decking.

He gave us a fair price, a pretty accurate timeline (best he could due to weather / rain / other jobs, etc.) From the point of quote to start date, it was about a month and a half. (started May 22, 2023) Which worked out great for us.

They had a team of 5 guys who got this project completed in about a week! Andy, Adam, Lucas and Wyatt were at our house well before 7am - ready to start promptly at 7. They all worked extremely hard, but didn't cut corners. Their attention to detail was exactly what we were hoping for. Brad oversaw the project, and was on site throughout the build.

We really like how the relocation of the stairs turned out, giving us usable space under our deck now - without obstructing the view of the pond in our back yard.

In addition to the Deck, we also had them replace both doors that led out to the deck. Jason and Luke took care of removing, and installing new doors. They took care of the trim work, and made sure the door sealed and seated properly. We absolutely love them. There were a few tweaks that needed to be done with the deadbolts, which they addressed and took care of in a timely manner.

There were a few little details we noticed at the walk thru that needed to be addressed; deadbolt didn't line up properly, a small crack in the siding, and one cover was missing from the railing. Brad jumped on it and had all of this taken care of within a few days. In addition, his guys replaced another piece of siding that was broken from a storm last year at no extra charge.

Overall, we could not be happier with their work, their response when we did find a few minor concerns, and constant communication to ensure we were happy. We absolutely are and cannot thank them enough for their honesty, craftsmanship, and professionalism. I would HIGHLY recommend Brad and his team at Iron River Construction. They are, in my opinion, best in class.

Iron River remodeled our master bath. The cost was in the middle of multiple quotes we received. They were open to our ideas and provided multiple designs for us to review, modify, and chose from. They provided a construction schedule three months prior to the start of construction and stuck to the schedule. If issues arose, they were handled immediately, professionally, and with high quality. They had great communication during both design and construction. The quality of the materials and construction was great as well. I would use Iron River for future projects we have. Alex, the project manager, was great to work with, listened and communicated well, and did a great job managing the project.

Iron River did a phenomenal job on our double bathroom remodel! The project manager, Alex, was prompt with communication right from the start and when small issues did arise (as they inevitably do), he worked with us to get it resolved quickly. The process itself was very streamlined and smooth; we always knew what was happening each day and when we had to have choices made or materials at the house. He made the schedule so that we were never without a functioning bathroom (which was important to us as a family of five!) and even rearranged things last minute when we needed a quiet day at the house to say goodbye to our dying cat. Our bathrooms are perfect - they're beautiful, functional and have added so much value to our days... because, let's face it, we all spend a lot of time in the bathroom! We will definitely use them again for future projects.

We did major exterior renovation this past summer including replacing our front entry steps and terrace , replaced 2 decks railings and replaced our exterior siding. Iron River did the biggest project , the siding replacement and they did an outstanding job both with project but also with providing great advice and coordinating the schedule with all of the other contractors. Rob was our initial contact and the main reason that we chose Iron River. I knew based on how Rob handled our first conversations that I could trust him. Most contractors don't bother to call back if they can't provide the service requested but Rob went beyond that and reached out after exhausting all of his options. 1 year later when our project changed scope and we needed to change contractors I reached out to Rob and he contacted me the same day , followed up the next day and continued to provide that level of service for the entire summer project. Rob helped to guide us through the product selection process and was very helpful , added value and our project is better based on his input. Our project was prolonged and complicated because we chose some products that were difficult to obtain but Rob and Team never gave up and we absolutely love the final result ! During the actual project , Vadim was our Project Manager and he provided us with his extensive experience and his best team to complete the work. Vadim went above and beyond on many cases including calling me from his honeymoon to handle a problem. If I have a need for any future house projects , indoor or outdoor , I will use Iron River again. They were great !

We couldn't have more great things to say about Iron River. We had a pipe burst this year which caused a huge mess in our basement. Jeremy was our project manager and he came out right away and assessed our damages. Before we even had time to think about what next steps would look like, Jeremy had already talked to our insurance company and had our estimate approved and gave us a start date! Dan and Evan came out to do the repairs. They were very protective of what remained in the basement and kept everything immaculately clean during the project. They were always punctual and powered through the job quickly. You can't tell anything ever happened down there and we are back to enjoying our basement again, just in time for the holidays! I don't write many reviews, but when I do it's because I feel compelled to spread the word about a great local company. I hired Iron River to finish my basement recently and could not be happier with the results. These guys are awesome and they deliver on their promises. Alex is awesome and is frankly why we hired Iron River. We received multiple bids, all of which were pretty comparable from a price perspective, however when I asked Alex about how long the project would take and how likely it would be to finish on time, his response surprised me. He told me that he could have it done in 7 weeks and that the project wouldn't run long by more than a day or two because he has such a good team around him. Honestly, I wouldn't have believed most people if they told me that but Alex was certain and had great reasons why he could stick to that timeline so it was a no brainer. I'm happy to say that the project just wrapped up last week and it was right on time. 7 weeks to finish a basement!? Seriously, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the craftsmanship, the guys did an incredible job. If you're reading this and wondering if I received some sort of incentive to write this review, I didn't. I just really appreciate Alex and team and the great work they did for us. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Randy of Iron River Construction was the best contractor we have ever worked with. He was very knowledgeable and able to communicate the best plan for our new deck. He was very patient with us dealing with all the HOA guidelines and through his persistence was able to get our deck done before the end of the construction season. Very professional crew made it very easy to work with. Finished product was excellent and looking forward to many years enjoying our new deck.

Rick and team demo'd our existing deck and turned it into a 4 season porch. I was continually impressed with the professionalism and quality we got from every member of the team. We had very few issues and those that we did have were managed with transparency and urgency. There we many that helped our project come together but in particular Andy, Hayden, and Josh played huge parts in making this thing come together for us. We HIGHLY recommend Iron River and will use them again any projects in our future.

We first contacted Iron River to build a built in buffet/cabinet in our dining room - and also to install permanent railing on our deck. Then we had some laundry room water damage and ended up contacting them again - to rebuild our laundry room and replace carpeting where it was needed. Alex is very responsive and easy to talk to and ask questions.

Jeremy was very good at listening to what we wanted and was very specific about delays that would occur because of supply chain issues. When Jeremy said they were going to start the project on the next Monday morning, he and his crew were at our home at 8am, ready to go. The workmanship was excellent and timely and they did a great job of cleaning up each day. Hayden did some one off construction of a planter and a bench that we wanted to incorporate into the new deck. He was very specific in his development of the two items and they turned out looking very professionally done and will be a great addition to our new deck. All in all, it was a pleasure to work with Iron River Construction. We have referred them to a neighbor who is considering a new deck.

We contracted iron river to take care of a small remodel (taking out existing sliding doors in the basement and framing in casement windows to replace them, which involved siding too) and to replace our sliding doors throughout. Rob was very communicative on the front end, Vadim was very communicative and flexible throughout. I was given many options to work with a budget and realistic expectations. Our project was even completed way before we anticipated (which was awesome!). Even after install, we were having an issue with the doors latching properly and they came out the next day to make it right. Great team to work with and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for future projects. I felt very comfortable having them in my home, and even more comfortable that they were handling such an important project for us. There were a few other bids we had initially requested before we made the decision to go with iron river and they weren’t the cheapest (nor were they the most expensive), but they did give me the most information upon request/upfront and were more than accommodating with any specific requests or concerns I had.

Iron River just completed a new deck install for us and we love it! Alex, Jesse, Andy and the entire crew were extremely professional and it was completed within the timeframe laid out from the start. This was the third project Iron River did for us and we will definitely use them again for any future projects! And a nice bonus that they are very military-friendly!

The most recent project was a main floor remodel, led by Alex Buckentine and team are absolute rockstars.

The entire Iron River team was outstanding and fully respectful of the home, including our dog Sushi, whom they went out of the way to to ensure that she had adequate egress over to the cut out in the floor.
