I hesitated to write a review but I am so unhappy with the my experience and the work that was done. Interstate got the restoration job from my insurance company.
The workers would show up under the influence of marijuana. I complained to the project manager and he stated that he is the only one that doesn't use it.
Workers would show up unannounced or not show at time that was promised. Very inconsistent schedule.
Crown molding on cabinets doesn't meet squarely because the cabinet was rebuilt and not cut to original dimensions but original crown molding retained and didn't fit.
Gap between cabinets and wall where cabinets were reinstalled was not flush and not caulked.
Toilet wasn't level when installed.
Proper transitions in doorways not installed.
Wood floor had to be redone twice due to imperfections.
Worker doing wood floors dumped a bucket of stain or poly on my lawn and killed the grass.
Original wood floor that was retained had ridges of wood filler pushed up from cracks.
Molding around base of cabinet not mitered due to replacement panel not cut to original size.
Painter didn't remove stair handrails when painting though it was listed in job.
Gap left in vinyl floor install.

I had a wood floor company come out and give me an estimate for having my floors redone. They pointed out numerous issues with the floor. The floor is uneven in spots and there are roll marks. The poly is already discoloring which they told me should not be happening after 1 year. Its tacky and seems to have a film on it. They are also going to install proper doorway transitions as I had originally requested but was told they couldn't remove what they already put in.

This was so stressful and costly as I am having many of the "repairs" redone properly. The remediation company that did the demo was much more cautious and thorough with my home than the workers rebuilding.

I do have the correct company as verified from my paperwork. I expressed my concerns and displeasure multiple times during the restoration to the workers and project manager. Erik, you also came to my house. Every issue was explained away or met with resistance and reasons why changes couldn't be made. I felt like it didn't matter what I said. I wasn't even asking for any upgrades. I just wanted my house back the way it was. It seemed that the goal was to get the work done as fast as possible without any attention to the details. I was so frustrated that I just signed off on the job because I felt repeatedly disregarded and it wasn't going to change. I just wanted the workers out of my house.

First let me say this review is way overdue. Barry was our contractor/program manager. With all the ups and downs he was there. The service he provided to my mom was above and beyond. Anthony was the brought in to but it all back to Hether from a construction side and can’t say enough. While it was super stressful for my Mom, Barry went above and beyond to make her happy. Thank you so much

I had my floors replaced by this great company. Everyone especially Erik Langer was very professional & I am so happy for the results. I will be getting more work from this company in the future.

This company tricked my elderly father into signing a contract for services. They told him that they needed him to sign something just so that they could talk to his insurance company. When I looked at the document the next day, it was a contract for services. Luckily, We reversed it in that ridiculous three day period. Otherwise, this cheating company would have 100% heard from my attorney.

I experienced a major flooding in my ground floor bathroom and in my basement. My bathroom floor had to be removed and replaced with matching tiles. There was extensive water damage in my basement to the paneled walls, ceiling tiles and flooring. The basement wall paneling had to be removed, walls and doors repainted. The ceiling tiles, flooring and carpeting had to be removed, and replaced. Interstate Construction LLC came to the rescue. My basement furniture was wrapped, hauled away, stored and returned in excellent condition and re-arranged in my basement which now looks superb. Everyone worked very efficiently, and I would give them all 6 stars out of 5 stars!
The Project Manager, Barry Jones, who oversaw and managed the whole process from start to finish was exceptional, considerate and helpful. I would give him 8 stars out of 5 stars! I would most definitely recommend Interstate Construction, LLC.

Barry Jones and Kris Langer did a great job in getting the work quoted, approved by the insurance company, and checked in with us throughout the process. The work was completed within an efficient timeline (much better than what typical timelines were) and done correctly. We definitely would use them again!

Interstate did an insurance job reconstructing my kitchen and two bathrooms after water damage. They made sure everything was done right especially the Project Manager, Barry Jones.

Interstate did a great job with a complicated insurance claim. Our basement was a mess after a flood. After our original contractor had an accident on another project, AAA recommended Interstate. We are glad they did.

We wanted additional work while the basement was empty and Interstate was very accommodating. They had many excellent suggestions and worked with AAA when we discovered additional damage.

Our project manager, Barry Jones, kept everything humming along. We were kept informed. People came as scheduled and all work was professional. The best part was that any time we ran into an issue, which happens with any major repair, Barry was able to resolve it quickly. Also, thanks to David Rondo for keeping all the paperwork aligned as the project evolved.

Loved working with this company!!! We saw many people in all the different stages of the restoration process and every team did amazing work. Everyone was so friendly and very considerate to giving us exactly what we wanted. They didn’t cut corners. We would definitely use them again.

Were courteous, professional, on time , and well qualified, as well as having a fantastic work ethic and were willing to listen to questions and ideas and to discuss with me the options without making me feel as an idiot....great group of professionals in all senses of the word

I am so satisfied with this company. Kris was my first contact with the company. My flood in my house happened right before the quarantine. Kris was able to come out to my house several hours before the quarantine took place. He assured me that his company would be available even during the no work order, to answer any questions and concerns I had. I had to wait for the work to be completed, but Kris was available to me by phone. He handled all my questions regarding insurance and my claim. Dave was my project manager. He guided me through the whole repair process. Was very knowledgeable in what needed to be done. Was very professional even when I asked dumb questions. Dave kept me informed daily of what work was being done, when the work will be completed and who was doing the job. Barry was the guy who did most of my repairs. This is the guy you want doing your labor on your home. He was very experienced and treated my home as if he was repairing his own. I give this company a 5 star review, because of the work, professionalism and the knowledge of these three men. Thank you

This contractor has not done 1 thing on time. We have not been a priority since the beginning of this job. My church has not had a service in over a year. Erik has made numerous promises to get the job done and we havent seen anyone working there .

They always arrived on time. They gave me multiple options on how the repair could be done and worked with me to pick the best solution. They work was done quickly and I time with great quality. I highly recommend them.

Recently, we had a water leak that ruined our kitchen, family room, bathroom, laundry room, and the basement. Kris from Interstate came out right away and with his team began removing the water. Then Kris, the estimator, assessed the damage and developed quote. He also met with our insurance adjuster and helped negotiate final amount. Finally, Erik, owner and project manager, saw the project through to the end. Communication was top notch. Quality was amazing. I would highly recommend Interstate to anyone.

I’m very pleased with the work done by Interstate Construction. Before we officially hired Interstate Construction Kris came out to assess the damage and help me decided whether or not to even place an insurance claim. We couldn’t tell if the tree had breached the roof or not. If it hadn’t breached then we didn’t see the need in placing a claim and paying the deductible.

I was also clueless on all that goes along with placing a claim as this is my first home and first time anything like this had happened. Kris took time to explain the process to me. He was even knowledgeable about the AAA process which I appreciated.

Craig managed my claim once it was officially placed. Craig is a very nice and soft spoken man. My only small complaint is that I found out last minute when the workers would be at my house. That was unfortunate but I understand that things like that happen. It was also all outside work so it really wasn’t a big of deal I found last minute. I don’t fault Craig or Interstate Construction for that. Overall I am very pleased and happy with the work done at my house.

This work was done in the summer. Unfortunately, when the gutters were being cleaned in the fall we noticed one gutter that had been installed was sagging. We reached out to Craig because we thought the issue would be something that was their responsibility to fix. It took some time for Craig to get out here (it was right before the holidays when all this was happening). Once Craig came out and saw the issue the gutter guys were back out the next day. Thankfully it was a easy fix with a few bolts.

I had a water loss recently at my home that affected approximately half of the house. The disruption that it caused my entire family was very stressful. I called Interstate Construction and Kris (estimator) responded to my home immediately and at my convenience. He wrote the estimate and handled anything that the insurance company needed. I never had to have any further contact with my insurance if I didn't need too. Dave I. was assigned as the project manager and the work commenced. Dave treated my home as if it was his own as well as all of his crew. Any little concern or questions that I had, Dave addressed the very same day. I received a call almost daily from Dave with an update as to what was completed and what was on the agenda for the following day. The work was completed in a very timely manner and the house looks great. Kris, Dave, Greg and the crew did an outstanding job and God forbid, if I ever have another water loss, Interstate Construction will be one of the first calls that I make. Thank you guys!

Interstate Construction is a great company- you can trust you’re in great hands with them! We had quite a bit of water damage from our second story laundry flooding, creating a huge mess on our first floor (and second). Kris came out right away to write up the quote for our insurance company. He was very professional and helpful with any questions we had, as well as very thorough with what needed to be repaired, making sure nothing got overlooked. Eric was in charge of the crew who did our repairs- he also was great, keeping things on track and getting the work done in a timely manner. The guys who did the work were great also, we had no problem trusting them in our home while we were at work. We’re very happy with the work Interstate did for us, thanks guys!

My apartment sustained water damage after a fire broke out in the next apartment... calling Interstate to handle my belongings was the best call I could have ever made!!! Frank and his team were very professional, kind, efficient, and helpful!! They made an overwhelming experience very easy to manage. I would HIGHLY recommend Interstate to anyone in need of their services!!

During a rain/wind storm, a huge tree from our front yard crashed down on our house. After calling our insurance company, Frank from Interstate arrived and walked us through what to expect. He arranged a crew with the necessary equipment. I can not say enough how professional, dedicated, and hardworking this crew was especially through the terrible weather conditions. They continued to work throughout the night until 5:30 in the morning to remove the tree and tarp the exposed area.
We are currently in the reconstruction stage and have complete confidence in everything going forward.

I can't remember another time I have found such professionalism, courtesy, respectfulness, and willingness to accommodate our needs and schedule in another company! Interstate employees came out right away when our kitchen, dining room, and basement flooded because our dishwasher shorted out. They set up fans and dehumidifiers, checked moisture readings daily, sectioned off the kitchen and dining rooms with heavy plastic to keep the process contained, and were quick to come out right away when we had new concerns. They cleaned up after themselves, took copious notes and readings, and communicated well throughout the entire process. Thanks Interstate!

I was very impressed with interstate construction. I took a a trip to Mexico in May and got a phone call from my daughter telling us that our basement had flooded before we even got off the plane. I went into immediate panic mode. Interstate helped to alleviate that. They were at my house setting up fans within the hour. As I said, I was on a plane so I had hit or miss service. Let’s just say by the time I had service again, my basement was all taken care of with fans and I had a voicemail assessing the damage. I was so relieved and able to enjoy my vacation because of them. Very kind and helpful employees. When I got back home, it seemed like the whole mess didn’t even happen. Basement was dry, fans were gone, and my house was still standing. Would definitely recommend!

I got a return call from them within 1/2hour of contacting my insurance company @ 7:45a.m.! The manager was on site shortly thereafter. He coordinated everything except DTE & ATT. The job was completed the same day! Still waiting on ATT...

We used interstate construction following a heavy snow storm that caused water damages to our family room. We used them on the recommendation of a friend familiar with the company as we are newer to home ownership and have never had to have work done like this before. I thought from start to finish they were easy to work with and handled themselves professionally. The front office staff along with the individuals that came out to the house to assess the damages and get the work started were friendly and helpful. The contractors were not there every day once work started, however they kept us well informed about the progress and when to expect them. They were friendly and we were happy with the results.

This company uses nonprofessional contractors to do the work on your home. We had to have new drywall and painting services done, the contractors did a poor job on the drywall and the painting was even worse. A job that should have taken two months if that, ended up taking 7 months. The workers were not consistent, they came when they felt like it. In most cases, said they were coming and didn't show up at all, no phone call or anything. My job is considered finished, but it is sub standard work. I would not ever use them again!

I bought a house in September and the maple cupboards were recently done by Interstate. I called them because I want to add more cupboards along with a granite top. They took my number and said someone would call, that was five months ago. I never heard a word back from them. I'm glad I found out how undependable they are prior to giving them my money.
Edit 3/9/2023: To be fair the company did finally call after I wrote the initial review (about four months after I contacted them). Like the lady said they do strictly insurance work so I guess that explains why I was not high priority on the callback list. I did get my additional cabinet that I wanted (special order from Home Depot) and a beautiful granite (from Tile & Stone Works).
