We received an amazing report immediately after his inspection as well as a walk through to discuss his findings. His inspection provided us with information that will help us to maintain the home for generations to come. This is my 2nd experience for a Hawaiian home inspection within 6 months. I cannot express how professional & knowledgable Oscar Libed, of Inspect Hawaii, is when conducting a home inspection. His meticulous notes and explanations of his verbal reporting, and response to questions were made with ease with this customer. Oscar was really knowledgeable and explained his summary very thoroughly, using drone photos and having us involved in looking at every issue with the home inspection. His email summary was very detailed, also easy to talk to while clarifying questions we had AFTER our appointment over the phone. Would recommend to anyone looking for a home inspector.

He is a licensed "Professional Engineer" (P.E.). That is why I chose his firm. He accommodated my need for a very short notice inspection. He used some kind of "infra-red" inspection tool to check the electrical and water. So he is very up to date technologically as you would expect a P.E. to be. He was on-time and professional. Would recommend.

Mr. Libed was really great to work with. He was prompt and extremely thorough with his work. We inquired on his availability and he responded right away. He completed the inspection during the afternoon and turned around the full report to us that evening. The report was easy to understand and of course included so much detail that we didn't even think twice about. His prices are reasonable. Appreciate working with him!

3 months later…. We have these water leaks from the rain.

I just wish the inner part of the roof was properly inspected. Come to find out the type of roof (clay tile) we have in our home should have some underlayment. Which our house doesn’t have. Tiles are installed directly ( literally see through as you look through the attic). So now we deal with these leaks straight to the drywall ceiling when heavy rains/ winds hit.

Oscar with Inspect Hawaii was great to work with. His inspection is very thorough, nothing gets past him. The turnaround for a full report was amazingly fast and very detailed. I 100% recommend him for any inspection needs.

I had called Oscar right before the weekend and he picked up right away, which from the get go really made me put my trust in him. I told him about my Grandma’s situation and how I kind of needed an inspection ASAP and he accommodated us as soon as he could. This was more than I could have asked for.

I asked my schedule very last minute because the seller wanted to closed in 30 days or sooner. I contacted him via his website and he replied me right the way. He gave me the earliest schedule that I asked for.

He gave me the report the same day in the evening after the inspection. I couldn't there and he needed to meet my realtor to do the inspection. I told him that I got introduced by my realtor and he emailed me back with her so I didn't have to go and forward to make the schedule for the inspection. I really feel that he really knows what he is doing.

Oscar was great! His advanced infrared tool gave us full confidence that there were no leaks behind the walls and even gave us temperature readings of the faucet water, fridge/freezer and AC vents. I cannot rave enough about the inspection report performed by Oscar with Inspect Hawaii. Oscar was very responsive to my initial inquiry as was able to inspect the property on a very short notice. The inspection report was the most detailed and professional report I have ever seen.

I am so glad that I found Oscar and could not be happier with the inspection services he provided. He went above and beyond to help since I was on a pretty tight time schedule and only on island for a limited amount of time. Inspections aren’t a “cheap” service, but I walked away feeling like my money was very well spent and that it was a million percent worth it. Oscar is our inspector and he is very thorough, professional and efficient. Very worth it ! my husband and I are very satisfied with his findings and he is truthful and with integrity.

Kind! He was very polite and professional. And he got deep into the details, pointing out many things I never considard. One of the coolest things he did was point out a bad breaker box, and he already knew everything about the company and failure statistics. He told me other about nitty gritty issues, using infrared imaging to find all sorts of things, like a faulty airconditioner and plumbing issues. He even found various appliances and fixtures was miswired by testing all the components. I feel confident he had a better eye than me, given his experience and tools of the trade. Had it been me or someone else, who knows what blind decisions could have been made. I feel his service was worth more than I paid, so I had to leave a tip. Highly recommend!

Oscar is detailed oriented and checked things in the house that I would have never thought to check, or that I would have been to lazy to actually test to see if they were working correctly. Oscar also brings solid technical background to the inspections, and was able to answer my questions regarding the electrical and plumbing. He walked us through the entire inspection that he had performed and with 12 hours we had an electronic copy of the report that we could review, complete with pictures from the inspection that he referered to during the walk thru portion.

I highly recommend Inspect Hawaii for anyone that needs a house inspection performed (especially for the J1 portion of the purchase).
