Ideal Roofing of KY - Richmond

It was early February and water had leaked through my roof and damaged the drywall on the ceiling in one of my bathrooms. I called Ideal Roofing on a Tuesday and Tim, with Ideal Roofing in Richmond KY, was there the next morning. He did a thorough examination on the rooftop and inside my attic (including pictures) which determined that the roof, which is 15 years old, needed to be replaced. The winter temperatures and conditions in February were bad and would not permit the roof work to be completed, but Tim and Ideal’s roofing crew put tarps over the area of the roof that was leaking until March 11th when the job was completed. The wind loosened the tarps a couple weeks after installation. So, I called Tim and someone from Ideal was here the next day to reattach them.

What really made my situation different than most roofing projects is that there are 4 condos under one common roof where I live, and only mine was being replaced. It was very hard to match the shingle color on a 15 year old roof, but Ideal’s choice was great and, even where the new shingles meet the original ones on my neighbor’s roof, it is difficult to tell them apart.

Ideal’s crew started their work around 7:00 AM on March 11th and were finished by 1:00 PM. They use first quality materials and they have the removal of the the old shingles and the complete installation of the new roof down to a very efficient system. Their clean up was great and they disposed of all material removed from the old roof. They even used magnets to find any old nails around my condo.

I highly recommend Tim and the crew at Ideal roofing. Ideal’s cost was competitive, and they are great at what they do.

Ran into one of their consultants at the gas station. I needed a piece of fascia pinned back up and a downspout reconnected. Not enough work for most roofers to even call me back.

I told him what I needed done. He said he would get it taken care of. Less than 4 hours later, the work was done.

A job so small that most people wouldn’t even call me back. They treated it like it was the only job they had.

This is my go to roofing company and would highly recommend reaching out to them with any issues. James made the process very easy with my insurance company. We had hail and wind damage from a previous storm over 6 months ago, and this crew was able to knock out our roof in about 4 hours with zero debris left laying around the yard. My home experienced damage from the hail storm in 2023, as many others did, and I worried about finding a company because everyone in town had a hard time finding a good company to work with and issues with the company completing the work! After searching Google for a company for a bit, I found Ideal Roofing and boy am I glad I found them! My first time calling, they answered and next we were discussing my claim and what was needed. My insurance company sent an adjuster quickly to assess the damage but when it came to forking over the funds to fix the damages I had, the company pushed back! I was very stressed about that but James made me feel comfortable and confident that he would fight for my claim as long as it was needed. He really meant that because he did just that! It took several months later of him working with the insurance company to finally have my claim fully approved! I received a new roof, new gutters, and replacement siding for the damaged areas. My house looks amazing! Ideal roofing was professional, courtesy, efficient, and will work hard to get your project fixed when the insurance company doesn’t want to! I highly recommend their professional services!

This is a wonderful company. They took care of my entire home after a hail storm. This included new roofing, gutters and downspouts, garage door, and window. They wanted me 100% satisfied with the results. Hats off to this company and their employee Tim Pigg. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to get everything fixed to our satisfaction. Highly recommend!!!

Tried to give my business after the hail storm to a local business I was referred to by a friend. This has got to be the worst experience I could imagine trying to get them to give me a quote on my roof. Worked with James for the past 3 months being assured that I would receive a quote and that everything would get “handled.” I’ve had an open claim with my insurance since before they arrived and I still don’t have an answer from them. Makes me wish I had chosen one of the out-of-town storm contractors at the time who wanted the business. If you are looking for a company that does what they promise this is not it.

I had massive storm damage to the exterior of my house from a rare supercell with 20 minutes of baseball sized hail. Eddie did a great job coordinating with the adjuster and ensuring that all of my needed repairs were covered. Had to replace the roof, gutters, siding, one window, garage doors, exterior lighting, the works. Eddie got the roof and the siding done really quickly, to protect the house. And what few delays there were on the cosmetic repairs like the garage doors, Eddie always kept me in the loop by text as to how long it would be and why. Highly recommend!

Ideal Roofing did an outstanding job! Working with the salesman Eli was a pleasure. He was on time and answered all of the questions. He was able to work miracles with the scheduling. I was very very pleased with the 8 hour completion of my new roof. Will and his crew arrived at day break and were finished, cleaned up and all items they moved for me were carefully replace by 4:15 pm the same day. Everything was perfect, clean and unharmed. I can not say enough about how kind and professional everyone was. I highly recommend their service.

Called for an insurance claim; I was told they don't come out to look for estimate because they aren't competing for business. Confused by his response i explained the insurance company instructed me to call and told me what to ask.He got frustrated and began over-explaining how i was wrong to do what the insurance company instructed me. He then just stated to call someone else because they have too much business... No problem

If that sounds weird it got almost turned into an argument, i hung up as he proceeded to get "frustrated" ...I called the insurance company and explained as he stated "they got too much business to compete and to do estimates.." Even though their website says "Free Estimates"
the call was 90 secs of just strange.

They were great, examined the roof , found the problem and fixed it. We thought we would have to replace the roof.but he just replaced a boot at one of the vents and said that would take care of the problem. We will definitely recommend him to family and friends!!

We have a leak in the roof, called Todd , he was there in 15 minutes . He got up on the roof in the rain ,inspected the area around the leak. He checked my vent and shingles and caulked where it was needed . Very friendly and polite . I recommend this company. I will be a repeat customer.

Great roofing company. Had some damage to our roof from a storm and Kristin was extremely helpful through the whole process. Met with the insurance company and was always available for my wife as I have been out of town due to my job. Kristin was always available to answer any questions my wife had and helped her through everything from contacting our insurance company to date of install which only took one day. Wow! Joey worked with our insurance company to get everything taken care of and kept us in the loop with everything. We used ideal roofing on the recommendation of neighbors whom ideal had done their roof. They were a great company to work with. They arrived promptly at the time and date we were given. Their efficiency is incredible. They tore off the old shingles replaced them and did an excellent job of cleaning up any debris in less than a day. If you are looking for some one to do your roof that does what they tell you, when they tell you ideal is the company.
