About the Business
What people say about “Idaho Home Exteriors LLC”?
Customer feedback reveals significant dissatisfaction with Idaho Home Exteriors, particularly regarding communication and management issues. Multiple reviews highlight long delays in project initiation and a lack of follow-up, leading customers to feel ignored or misled. While some clients praised the quality of work and professionalism of the installers, the overall sentiment is marred by serious complaints about unfulfilled contracts and poor customer service. Timeliness and responsiveness are major concerns, with several reviewers reporting a complete absence of communication for extended periods. This inconsistency suggests a need for improvement in operational management and customer interaction processes.

I wish I could give them less stars, it was a nightmare all the way through, new workers showing up everyday, not knowing what to do. My vents are falling out of the soffit, the cedar T&G soffit is falling down, they did not use nails in the soffit. No one has gotten back to me
1 star is a compliment. It's long, but please read before considering this company. We signed a contract 5/28/21 and paid 50% down, to date (August 2022) zero work has been started. Our job was for siding, windows, soffit, fascia, and decorative stone siding across the front of our house.
If any of their positive reviews since they took our money and ran are actually real (I have my doubts) I would urge you to ask yourself if you are comfortable working with a business such as this. Urge you to consider if you can trust their positive reviews after reading all of the poor ones. They took more than 10k from me summer of 2021, made zero attempts to communicate with me as to why the job hasn't started, and somehow sleep at night and continue taking jobs,
while neglecting to finish others, start others, and do warranty work per their other reviews on here.
I would however absolutely believe any/all of the reviews on Google about their lack of communication, and untimely completion of jobs. I know with absolute certainty I am a real human living in Boise who paid them over 10k June of 2021. I was told via email 8/5/21 we would be put on the schedule. That is the last time I received communication from the owner/estimator Val. My husband and I have reached out to them to no avail. All communication via email, and phone has gone completely unanswered. They haven't even attempted to come up with any excuses as to why this has happened- they just don't respond. If you still feel comfortable hiring them I would urge you to check BBB reviews of this company as well. The BBB is known for helping to protect consumers and mediate issues between consumers/businesses as a neutral party. You will see that ALL of the complaints have gone unanswered, and unresolved. I would also urge you to protect yourself from them by requiring they purchase a bond before starting your job or you could be left like me with no money,no siding, and little to no recourse. Idaho doesn't require bonds that protect YOU from THEM. The state only has recourse to protect them from you for non-payment. Ask for a copy of their liability insurance policy. Call their liability insurance company before allowing them to start any work and make sure their policy is paid and valid. This will allow you to file claims against their work if anything should happen as far as damages to your home or damages due to their negligence or untimely completion of jobs.
They did a great job with our window and couldn't be happier. We went from a small 3ft window to a 9ft window. It opened up the kitchen and made it feel like a new house. The install went amazing and we will definitely use Idaho Home Exteriors again.
