Hw services of Arkansas

Unfortunately for me, I hired Horace Luke Warrick the owner of HW Services of Arkansas. He was hired to replace wood siding and paint the exterior of my home. After he replaced the front of the house just fine I had to continually bring to his attention split boards that were supposed to be replaced everywhere else on the house but instead he was trying to patch them up. He didn't show up for work most days before 11:30am and would take long lunches returning only to leave in a couple of hours before dark. He does not work a full work week and there was a multitude of excuses from using injuries to his dogs, his head hurts and his mother-in-law as reasons for why he was not on the job. It was the norm for him to repeatedly ask for money for additional supplies, for broken tools, to pay his work hand, and other issues throughout the job even though he was not finished. When I brought my concerns to his attention, he was extremely rude. I was told the job would take 3 weeks with an additional 3 days added to that timeline for work that was found and needed to be done. I hired him on November 9th but by Christmas 6 weeks later he was racing to paint my house in temperatures that were going into the 30s it became a disaster. The paint is uneven and there is dripping and overspray all over the trim, foundation, and chimney. He did not do proper prep work such as filling nail holes, masking and taping off to protect these areas. I asked him to stop we agreed that he would fix this mess when the weather got warmer. He was asked in the beginning of February to start fixing some of the problems he left. First week back he worked a total of five hours over 3 days and then didn't come back. I got fed up and fired him. Do not hire this man you will be sorry.

Pictures below show some of his work. He decided after the first coat of new paint he would go back and do the prep work he should have done before he started painting. That was in December. My house was left looking like this all the way to February. The last picture is what my house looked like before he got his hands on it.

Luke Warrick (H&W Services) did an excellent job building a mantel for my fireplace. I described what I wanted, he made some suggestions, we selected the wood together and he built exactly what I had described. Couldn’t have been a better experience! I’d definitely use him again because he’s as picky as I am!

Luke completed several jobs for us. He’s a talented handyman and carpenter. We highly recommend for any home repairs or improvement jobs.

Luke is super skilled and gets the job done right. He built my deck, tiled a fireplace, and installed sliding barn doors for me. I’ll keep calling him back for other jobs that come up big or small.

We used this company to tear down and rebuild our back deck which was getting old. They helped us get it built within our budget and did a great job on it, even making it a few feet bigger and helping us design a gate for it, for some specific needs we had. We found them to be extremely helpful and good to work with. I would highly recommend them for any carpentry work you need done.
