I go to Howe Lumber all the time for the materials that I need. I’d rather drive the extra miles to go here than go to the big box stores. I tell them what I need and then drive my truck around the back and it gets loaded into my truck. If it’s a large order I place it and have it delivered. No touching the materials until I’m ready to use them.

Shopping at Howe Lumber is easier than going to a big box store, especially if you know what you need. The staff is always super helpful. They are always willing to assist in any way that they can.

The store is clean and well organized. The staff is professional. And they have just about everything one could possibly need. The material quality is far superior than that of the box stores and generally less expensive, yes, LESS expensive!

If you need materials, especially for a larger job, do yourself a favor and at least give Howe Lumber a chance to price the job. I firmly believe you will be surprised at how easy the transaction will be. You’ll also love the quality of lumber.

Very happy with Howe Lumber's customer service. We had a few concerns about an Andersen slider installed a year ago. Their tech, Jorge, came right out, inspected the door, made a few tweaks and presto-magic, just like new! It was the easiest service request EVAH! Thank you Howe Lumber and thank you Jorge.

All the guys here are super friendly and very helpful when you need to find something, place an order etc! The whole store is nice and clean, organized, as well as out in their huge yard, and they generally have everything you need in stock! Plus they've got the whole kitchen design area out front which I haven't utilized as of yet, but I'm sure that's great as well!

I had a miscommunication with a salesman about the price of materials 15 years ago when I was beginning in the trades. Scott Norrie sat down with me immediately and rectified with a smile. This is the difference.

I have been lucky enough to work with these great people for all these years through good times and bad. The guys in the yard are of a special caliber and always helpful. The shipping department is hands down the best. Salesman carry decades of experience and are unmatched.

I can't say enough about this great organization. It's full of talent with a commitment to service and excellence.

Last but not least, their lumber is consistently the best across the board with affordable options for the man on Main Street. Don't waste your time with PT from the box stores, it's not even the same animal.

Great local lumber supply store. Very well stocked with quality brands. The staff is great. I've had a number of custom orders and measurements have always been 100%. Shop local!

Such good people work here. I love their customer service & the paint department is great. I appreciate the ability to buy local and so enjoy supporting this business.

I had made an order for a deck at a big box store. I waited 3 weeks waiting for expected delivery and they then added another month with a maybe it will be in by then. So I called around. Howe had everything I needed for pressure treated lumber. Ya and they delivered for free the next day. I was stoked to get started thank you Howe Lumber!

40-year customer and I will never walk into there again! Wanted to purchase Pressure treated pine, 8 feet long, they didn’t have it. They were willing to sell me 16-foot-long boards and cut them in half, for a dollar per cut. The salesman at the counter said we usually don’t charge when it’s 2 or 3 cuts but when you get 4!! I mentioned that I needed them cut because they were out of stock on the 8 footers, he really didn’t seem to care. I’ve had Howes cut lumber for free many time over the last 4 decades, never took advantage of this service. During a pandemic, they must be doing so well that they let customers walk away, buying nothing, rather than providing a simple curtesy. Hello, Home Depot and Lowes…

Purchased 8' of birch lumber it looked short after the guy cut it from a 12' but I didn't have a tape measure and I didn't want to be "that" guy to ask for verification but got home to find it 9.5" short !!! Called immediately and asked for the manger who sent a new board 1' longer than I purchased! While the problem was resolved quickly and fairly easily it should have never happened in the first place short changing customers is never good practice!!!!

Not the place to buy kitchen cabinets in a timely manner and if you have the time use google find a better place

After a fire and poor incident with contractor we came pretty prepared and we have yet to get a designer to even speak with us. 3 weeks only responds to emails no updates and here is her advice

‘I’d understand if you move on’. Good advice.

Rich a sales person had the best customer service skills in all the times ive been there. He is the reason 5 stars rating this time. I will ask for him in the future for help with painting supplies.

Ordered a countertop & paid for it on Jan. 30th. Was told backordered but would arrive at Howe Lumber on February 15th. Got there today Feb 17th only to be told it's not there. Got an apology and was given my order number so I would have that. No reason given for the poor customer service and total lack of follow through! No offer of a discount or compensation. I won't buy anything there again. No one has spare time to run back and forth needlessly! I only have weekends. And this would have been handled better at Lowe's for sure!

I prefer to use them for all my building needs, and all the employees there are so great and helpful.

This is the local place for you lumber and construction needs. They help pro's and weekend warriors alike. The prices are competitive as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Whenever I am looking for tools or material this is the first and last place I go.
