I've had my horizon for 10 years or so. Probably a little longer. It has been great and is of great quality. Backyard 16 inch

Ordered my smoker back in October 2023 and expected it by mid - end December. Now it's mid February and no smoker. I wanted this sometime in my lifetime. I am just going to get a refund I hope and go to home Depot and buy a cheaper one that I can use sooner than later. So far would not recommend unless your in your twenties and have a long time and a lot of patience.

Had to do some grinding on 20in convection plate to get into smoker , no big deal and when I called Horizon they apologized and was glad I called. New employee had cut it a little off. They so kindly sent me heavy duty smoker tools for my trouble. Great smoker and company to deal with!

Where's my smoker?? Buyers beware. This business has no intention of production meeting its estimated time of delivery. Multiple calls and multiple excuses were given. It's been five months since the order was placed not so much as an email or update on the status. This company is a joke.

Awesome smoker!! I've now had it for years and used it in all types of conditions. I live in New Hampshire. I have smoked in the winter and had no trouble keeping temperature. This is just for me, I purchased the 16 I would have gone with the 20 just for that extra room for larger smokes. The 16 has been amazing!!

Excellent customer service and superb quality. I called to inquire if several grates could be custom-made for my son's smoker. This was just one week before Christmas! I spoke to Steve, who was very pleasant. He had some of what I needed in stock, and some had to be custom-made. He would do his best to get everything made, packed up and out the door by the following day. I was thrilled that he came through for me. Although one item would arrive the following week, he was able to have everything but that one grate arrive at my door in Florida before Christmas. He personally called me to explain how it shipped, and gave me the tracking info. The quality is unmatched, made very well. Steve was such a pleasure to talk to and provided excellent service from start to finish. I am so thankful that they went over and beyond on such short notice, and did not charge anything extra to rush production. Would highly recommend.

Ordered the 20” Icon and have been using a stick-burner for about 15 years. The firebox on my old one burned through, and I deliberately stepped up in class to buy the Horizon. When I placed the order they told me it would take about 12 weeks due to supply chain issues. It actually took about 16, but I talked to Steve every other week and he provided friendly updates. I was notified that it was done on a Wed, was contacted by the shipper on Thurs, it got picked up on Sat, and was in my ATL backyard by Wed (on a 3-day weekend). It came with a little booklet which is a bit superfluous, but a nice touch. Very happy. Now the smoker. I’ve only done one smoke (8 lb butt), and am thrilled. The smoker is solid. I didn’t pull out my calipers, but the metal is thick, and the welds are solid. It holds heat extremely well, and I felt that I used less wood, and didn’t have as much trouble maintaining a steady heat. Placebo effects are real, but my wife thought it was one of the best butts I’ve ever done. My sense is I can easily get 4 butts on at the same time, and I’m looking forward to ribs, and brisket. So, in summary, yes, it took a while, but the service was very friendly, and I’m extremely happy with the product. Would definitely recommend.

Update (Jan 2024): I have now done over a smoke a month and have nothing but good things to say. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to using it for years to come.

Beware.....they will tell you anything to get your money.
Was told 8 weeks till delivery....
Then for sure 3 more weeks...still hadnt even started the build....i could have pursued
another smoker....lost a whole summer of bbq. If the had told the truth or facts there would be no review. Terrible company

Placed an order for parts for my smoker and it took longer than expected. I didn't know that the parts ordered were not kept in stock and had to be made. A quick note would have been nice to update me about the issue, but parts are being shipped as of this posting.
The gentleman on the phone was very understanding and informative about my issue. I am awaiting arrival of the parts and hoping to update the review to a 5 star after I get them.
**UPDATE** I received my parts very soon after talking to them. I was kinda worried that I may have some issues with them fitting because I do not have a Horizon smoker. There was no need to worry. Everything fits wonderfully! I am excited to start smoking meat again. Thank you Horizon. I will be ordering more parts in the near future and look forward to doing business with y'all!

Just got my new smoker and couldn't be happier. The quality is amazing, thank you all so much. I can't believe how different it feels than other cheap smokers I have used. I know this smoker will be with me for decades.

Great experience dealing with the staff. The best smoker I've ever owned! The quality is amazing! If you are looking for a smoker these guys can hook you up with the last smoker you will ever buy! Definitely impressed!!!

I ordered my son a smoker for a housewarming gift. Steve was very accommodating from beginning to end. They actually held the smoker for a couple of weeks while he was away doing some professional training. They shipped it on a Monday and it was in Asheville NC on Wednesday. Horizon Smokers are in my opinion one of the finest smokers on the market.

I purchased a smoker accessory from them, but ordered the wrong size for my smoker. They said if I wanted to send it back they could exchange it (and $25) for the correct size. I mailed it back where they asked me to and they never sent me anything. They have not responded to any of my four follow up emails. They kept my money and kept their product. Awful experience and I would recommend avoiding them. I've gone elsewhere for my smoking needs and suggest you do the same.

I've owned my Horizon Smoker for a couple years now. I can't think of anything I don't love about it. It's got a lot of room, and it holds its temp rock steady for hours. It's a quality item.
