Home Solutions built our home! At first we contacted Eric to make a basement for us so we could put an governor's home on it. When they pushed the homes back another year, we asked them to build our house and they said yes. Eric was so great at staying within our budget AND staying on time. The house was done the same week that Eric quoted us at the beginning of the process. THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN! We are so thankful and blessed about that! Many different people have commented that they could not believe our home was done when they said it would be done. But I'm here to tell you, Home Solutions made it happen. From the ease of staying in contact, staying up to date on changes, being able to see progress online and make payments, It has been such an amazing experience. Had we hired anyone else I think we would still be in that basement apartment waiting.

This guy is a world class jerk. Thanksgiving day, on our way to Brookings, this guy in his business vehicle, nearly ran us off the road. My wife and kids were in the car. I called the number on the back of his truck, and he answered. I told him he just about killed us. Told me I was lucky he didn't put us in the ditch, as we were going to slow for his taste. Trash human.

We loved working with Eric and his crew! Eric was very professional and knowledgable from the first moment we met with him to discuss finishing our basement. He was very thorough and detailed. We had an idea of what we wanted to do, but he took our ideas and refined them and made our dreams a reality. We had a budget going into this project. Eric was able to take our budget and exceed our expectations. Eric set a schedule right away with subcontractors and he was able to maintain this schedule and meet the deadline that he originally established. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were fortunate enough to only run into one snag, but Eric quickly took control of the situation and found a work-around to keep our project on track. When we set out to start this project, we thought it was possible to be our own general contractor. But in the end, we are extremely happy we worked with Eric. There is no way we could have handled all that goes into being a general contractor on our own while both working full time and having 2 little ones. I would highly recommend Home Solutions for the biggest or smallest of projects you may have. We will definitely be using them again in the future!

Eric and his team worked with us to choose and install a new exterior front door for our home. The old door was leaking and need to be replaced. The process was thorough and smooth, and after installation of the new door, the entryway was cleaned and better than it was before.

He kept me updated on the schedule of each sub contractor and ensured each contractor completed their work appropriately. He paid attention to each of my needs and wants and executed them seamlessly. The Home Solutions team built a custom gazebo and a work space for our horticulture team at the Butterfly House & Aquarium. Not only did they work with our unique vision of the projects, but they helped improve upon the designs and ideas we had. Eric spent a lot of time making sure he could bring our vision to life and was dedicated to creating exactly what we needed.

The quality of their work was great and the team was easy and fun to work with. They were reliable and always on time. They consistently communicated with us regarding the project timelines so we always had an idea of how everything was going. I had these people do two jobs for me. They upgraded my staircase balustrade in the entry of my house. Later I had them do some custom finish wood working to display artwork in the same area. Both jobs were done very well. I would recommend them to anyone needing carpentry or finish work.

We approached Home Solutions to do demolition work in our basement due to spring water damage. We were on a specific schedule. A basement wall and the stairs had to be removed prior to the waterproofing company’s arrival. And the stairs and rebuilt removed wall and drywall had to be completed immediately after the waterproofing. Eric and team worked with us to meet our stringent deadlines. They did a great job installing a dry bar and cabinetry in my basement. The design help was great, and they did a great job of improvising when we found out there was a slight slope to the ceiling after the cabinets were ordered. The work was done quickly and on schedule.

We had a structural issue with our roofline that eventually caused water to get into the interior walls and down to the floor on the second level. Eric and his crew figured out what caused the problem, the extent of the problem and a couple possible solutions. We felt he went beyond what we even asked him to do, finding some special cedar siding to match what we had, changing the roofline so the problem wouldn’t recur. We felt the charges were more than fair, the time it took to accomplish the work was within our expectations. And all the guys were very pleasant and respectful. They cleaned up at the end of each day and at the end of the job. We have recommended them to a couple friends and will again and again!

Eric and his crew installed all of our finish work baseboard, door trim, and installed/replaced exterior doors on our home. In addition Eric created and framed in a wall bookcase under a staircase. Everything was done beautifully!! He was very professional and honest with his bid. I like that! I highly recommend him for your home projects!!

Eric built us a covered porch 2 years ago & we were so impressed with the quality work and professionalism of his company that when we needed some other repairs to our home we called and scheduled repairs immediately.

Then comes the added bonus of a friendly service, adding extra touches to repair what previous owners/contractors did poorly, and even helping squeeze in extra time in replacing out of reach fixtures I had no hope in doing myself. They did all of this in cold weather and cleaned up everything.

Home Solutions put in a bunch of windows for us. Took out the old (which were apparently installed unconventionally years ago, to say the least) where they found some surprises. But they rolled with the punches and got our new windows put in they way it's supposed to be done. They worked their tails off, cleaned up nicely, and became good friends with our dog in the process!
