HRS was a pleasure to work with. From the first moment we reached out they were responsive and provided straight forward estimates and pricing information. If you have tried to rebuild a deck you know the estimate phase can be a challenge just getting a contractor to follow through. We needed to rebuild and expand a small and unsafe wood deck. Kevin handled our entire project, helping us figure out a new design and the best materials for our project. The results speak for themselves - we couldn't be more pleased! I had spent time researching contractors and I cannot tell you how happy I am I found these guys, especially Rich Dajani. He managed the building of our deck and did a fantastic job. He made sure things were done right, was always available if I had a question (and I had many as this was the first major house project I've pursued.) Rich never acted bothered or rude. He was timely. He did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. He didn't cut corners. If there was an issue, Rich fixed it to the best of his ability. He is the "go the extra mile" type of man and HRS is that type of company. It's a local, Birmingham company, not a big national one. From my first call with them, I could tell they were on top of it. They have the personal touch of a "mom and pop" shop with the professionalism and quality of a bigger company. They answer your questions quickly and follow up thoroughly.

Put simply, whenever I have a house project, HRS and particularly Rich will be my first call. If you're waffling or not sure who you should go with for your next house project, I cannot recommend these guys enough. I have worked with several contractors over the years, Art Ralston is by far the best! He is honest, did a fantastic job on our outdoor pavilion, and finished on time, just like he originally told us. I had an amazing experience with HRS and cannot recommend them enough. I had to get the siding replaced on half of my house and the chimney due to woodpecker damage, water damage, and the general nightmare that having Masonite siding has proven to be. All the way from the quoting to the final installation, this company is stellar. Kevin came promptly and inspected not only for the job, but also the surrounding area as well to make sure that it was solid to handle the new addition . He understood what I wanted, followed up with me on the appointment setting as agreed. They actually came a little earlier which was great! Mario and Luis were very polite and respectful of my property and did an amazing job. They checked with me afterwards to make sure the job was completed as expected. I searched for a year for a company that I could trust to do my new floors, subfloor and joist throughout my house and a complete bathroom renovation. I finally stumbled upon home repair services and I am so glad that I chose this company to trust to do the work. They did an outstanding job. I give them a 100. I don’t find any flaws in their work. They have done a fabulous job in giving my home the facelift that it needed. I worked with Kevin who did an outstanding job with always following through and messaging me and sending me pictures of the updates. I trust them now with any work that I will need in the future.

I had a storm door installed, gutter and down spout added, and some corners on my roof caulked where bees over the past summer where getting into.
Kevin was the assigned project manager and was so informative and helpful. I'm not from the south so he explained a lot of differences and why things were done a certain way down here with homes. I also had him look at some things with my windows but he let me know it wasn't anything major as I was anticipating. I can do quite a bit of things on my own so he gave me some suggestions on things to try, which I really appreciated and he didn't just say they would do something for the additional money on the project. I was extremely pleased with the quote and the work his team did. You would have never known they were there when they were done for the day.
There was one small hiccup where they missed a couple spots with caulking and Kevin immediately came right out himself to finish it up. They have a lifelong customer here with me. Thank you so much for the great work!

Our entire chimney needed new siding thanks to woodpecker damage allowing water in. We went from masonite siding to cement board and minor repair to the base wood. The Team at HRS maintained communication from before the project began until even beyond when the job was done. While we waited repair they even wrapped our chimney until the project could begin to mitigate the water issue we had been experiencing. Their team was on time, professional and answered every question I had, no matter the question. They explained all aspects of the project and made sure to address issues important to me in the repair.

I would like to thank this company for responding quickly to my request. I had a security storm door that I purchased some years back that had been in storage and needed it put up. I was sent a text that Mr. Rich would reach out to me and he did respond in a timely manner. A prayer of mine was answered through Mr. Rich. I needed someone to do the job for me and Mr. Rich with H & R did it. It is also important how a person presents himself and Mr. Rich was very nice and would text me to let me know when he was on his way to my residence, etc. He put the door up and now I am a happy camper. I had a great experience with this company.

We had a good experience with Art of HRS and the crews he brought to replace some siding and paint our house. They protected our property, carefully replaced the damaged siding, prepared and painted the house including gutters and down spouts, and cleaned up afterwords. All in all, a good job at a fair price according to schedule. No extra charges. Well done. We would use them again.

Had a little bump in the road to start on some vinyl siding .With one a sub contractor that HRS has not used before because their regular contractor was not available. The new contractor did not meet my expectations and HRS made everything wright and went far beyond to please me and which they did. Has a great craftsman working there named Todd he is the best at what he does would recommend the company . They will stand behind what they say.

We had a tree fall on our roof after some rain and wind. It damaged a gutter and part of our roof. HRS can’t repair roofs but put me in touch with a great company that took care of that for us. They did repair the gutter within the time frame they said (sooner actually) and for what they quoted. They were super responsive and so so nice. They will be first on our list for any future repairs!

We had HRS replace and paint all our siding and they did an amazing job! Our house feels brand new. Everyone was very professional and answered any questions we had. We had 1 bathroom....they removed an unused closet and rebuilt our bathroom to create 1 and 1/2 bathrooms for our home. Mike Whaley was our project manager and he was very patient with us, making suggestions, and very helpful with planning everything (10 out of 10 for him also). The work team was very pleasant and helpful....they even cleaned and straightened up every day and did not leave a mess! Thank you HRS!

The HRS team did an excellent job on my front porch. A previous contractor left it a mess and Mike and his crew fixed everything perfectly and cleaned up afterwards. Unlike many companies these days, they did what they said they would do and did it in a timely manner. They are not the cheapest contractors but sometimes you get what you pay for. I first learned of Home Repair Service on Facebook. I read their ads, and for some reason, they stood out, to me. Now i know why. I needed some major repairs on my chimney and siding. I called, they showed up, gave me an estimate, scheduled the work, and did an excellent job. They are prompt, and professional. I enjoyed doing business with them.

I had an odd job that I needed a professional opinion on. I really didn’t know what the solution was to correctly remedy the situation, but Kevin Cato came out and was able to put together a plan. After taking a few measurements and pictures he came back with a proposal breaking down what materials and labor would be needed to fix the problem. The crew at HRS came out yesterday and did a great job. The job site was left spotless and the installer, Todd, was professional and efficient. I hardly know where to begin. This company is far and away the best company I have ever hired or heard about. My project was a bathroom remodel, ie, removing a jetted tub and existing shower, installing a handicapped shower and installing a linen closet where the old shower had been. My first meeting was with Rich Dejani, project manager, and Miranda the interior designer. Mr Dejani was impressive as was Miranda. I am an older single woman and I have been taken to the cleaners more times than I can count by dishonest contractors. I asked a friend with 30+ years as an executive home builder to sit in on the negotiations. In private, my friend said Mr. Dejani was knowledgeable, answered all questions honestly and the estimate was fair. Mr Dejani when given the go ahead gave me a start date and work began as scheduled. Miranda helped with selection of materials and planning. Every day the work began promptly at 8 am and finished at 6 pm. The crew was beyond amazing, from tile setters to carpenters to painters. Even the clean up crew was the best, cleaning up after each days' work. The end result was not only a gorgeous shower but a safe one. Mr Dejani was involved every step of the way, making an on site visit half way through the build. He responded to my calls within minutes and answered my questions. I have owned 4 houses and I have never seen the quality of work this company provided. Finally a company with a work ethic, honest, and with employees that took pride in the work that they did. I have the utmost confidence in recommending this stellar company to anyone thinking of a remodeling project. I don't think you could go wrong in choosing Home Repair Service!

He took the time to walk the job, listen and understand the issues to come up with a good plan and reasonable estimate. It has been a pleasure working with Mike and the Home Repair Services Company! For example, I emailed the company late May and Mike and I met at my condo on Friday, May 31st. He listened to the changes and improvements I wanted to make. Within 2 business days, he provided me with a quote for the work. Next, I immediately went shopping to pick out the materials and products I wanted. Once I paid 50% of the quote during the first week of June, Mike had me scheduled for starting on Wednesday, June 19. The tile work on my half bathroom floor and the tile added to the fireplace look amazing! His staff told me on day 1, Thursday and Friday you will never know we were here. They were correct! I was extremely impressed by the clean up efforts each day. Based on the positive results from this project, I am confident that I will be working with Mike and his staff later this year to work on the master bathroom. I will be requesting the same two employees in September that were in my house in June.

I had HRS come out to look at installing new siding (old siding isn’t vinyl and paint was peeling bad) and build a new deck. Art came out and looked at my siding and said it didn’t need replacing. He told me they could scrape the paint that was peeling and replace 2 pieces of siding that did need replacing. This would be less expensive than installing new siding. I was thrilled.
As to my new deck, I wanted a deck about 3ft wider than what I had. Since the frame of the old deck was still good, HRS added 3ft to old deck and installed all new deck boards, railing and stairs. This was less expensive than building a whole new deck. I was thrilled and love my new deck.
Art could have came out and gave me an estimate for new siding and a new deck which would have been about $10k more than the work that Art recommended. I was totally happy with Art’s recommendations. It was nice to see that HRS wasn’t about getting as much of my money as they could.
After the work was done, Art came and we walked all round the house and deck to see that everything was good and I was happy with the work that was done. There were a couple of boards on deck that weren’t as good as I would have liked so Art had someone out within 2 days to replace those boards.
Love how my house and deck look now.
I would use HRS again and will be recommending them to friends and family that may need work done around their home.

I had some sheetrock issues with a wall in my home. I contacted Kevin at HRS Home Repair Service to help me get that fixed. He was so knowledgeable about what caused the problem and how to fix it. He was very professional, organized, and met with me quickly. He knew exactly what needed to be done and when so the repairs could be done in a timely manner. He also taught me a few things that would help me in the future. They do many home repairs and improvements and I will be calling him to help me in the future!

However, we will not hestitate to call HRS for future projects because of how honestly and fairly Art (our estimator) treated us! You guys did an amazing job with the items that I needed fixed around my home. The crew was awesome and super friendly. They did not leave until I was satisfied With their work, and they even asked if there was anything else they could do while they were there. You can’t get any better than these guys. If you find yourself asking that their quote maybe a bit high, it’s because their quality is amazing. I’d rather pay a bit more to get the quality of work I want, than pay less and hope for the best. I will definitely use you guys again when I need repairs made around my home.

Posting this for the initial. Five stars thus far. Just talking to Kim at the front office was great! She was attentive, listened to my needs, did her best in finding someone who will accommodate what we're looking for, and was overall very pleasant to talk to. I feel very comfortable meeting with the contractor she picked and I hope we can move forward just from that interaction on the phone.

David Beckham with HRS was great to work with on our storm damaged shop. He coordinated all the work and kept me updated. He also communicated with our insurance and kept them well informed. I appreciate everything David and his crew did for us. I would highly recommend HRS.

HRS did an amazing job creating a salon space for me from a retail suite.
David handled all aspects of construction, permitting, hiring the right people for engineering, initial plans, plumbing, electrical, A/C, drywalling, etc. He is patient and kind and cares about my satisfaction in his work. I am in love with my salon, and I will always call on HRS and David Beckham for any and all of my business building and home improvement needs in the future. I would highly recommend them.

We contacted Home Repair Service to correct a small rotten area around a window on my son’s house. They submitted a bid and after comparing to other companies, we decided to use them.
Unfortunately, the small area turned into a complete rebuild of the front of the house. Over all, Home Repair Service did a good job with the repair. Craftsmanship was good and neat.
The only negative issue we had was with the different change orders. I think a little more attention to detail when communicating changes would have made the project run smoother and with no surprises.
We would use them again for other projects.

Great job completely rebuilding our bed room bay window. Job was on time and actually did some small items that were related to the job but not on the contract. Very happy with the price. Rich Dajani a very confident. I'm also contracting him to paint the interior of our house.

Great Company to do business with. I had a complicated kitchen sink replacement dilema and Rich came out and walked me through a way to replace my sink and faucet. We did an exterior and interior renovation with HRS and could not be more pleased with the results. Kevin Cato handled this project from start to finish with minor delays and only minor errors that were easily fixed at no cost to us. All work not in the original contract was handled as a contract revision payable at the time of the revision so we were not stuck at the end of the contract with a balance larger than expected. Kevin made excellent suggestions when they were warranted and provided assistance with plans and fixture choices. The crews that he used were also very professional and very trustworthy. At no time did we feel uncomfortable with the people working in our house. For the subcontrators we used for items outside of the HRS contract, Kevin worked with them to insure everything flowed smoothly. We have already initiated another small contract with Kevin and HRS and will likely use them in the future on other projects. I will gladly recommend this company to anyone looking to have work done on their home or office.
