Brian was very thorough and easy to work with on the car buying process. He was always willing to answer questions up until the point of sale. The only inconvenience was the parts store not being open on Saturday to handle purchasing charging adapters that I would need for both home charging (a 14-30 adapter as I'm limited to 30A in a detached garage, which was fine for my previous Tesla given their great adapter availability) and camping (requiring a TT-30 adapter), a situation I'm working to resolve with Lake Chevrolet.

I ended up discovering that the adapter bundle I thought was for the current black Ultium EVSE provided with the car were only compatible with the older white EVSE that came with cars like the Volt, even if GM Parts's website listed them as compatible with ALL Ultium chargers. Currently working with Lake Chevrolet's parts manager to find out if anything will be compatible with the new supplier's EVSE, or if I will have to spend extra money to work with an electrician to hardwire a third party EVSE, rendering the Dual Charge Cord I was given with this car purchase unnecessary.

I had requested followup from Brian prior to working with Lake Chevrolet on this, but did not receive an update at all this week, so I will work with the dealership that is more convenient to me going forward.

The waiting area is the ABSOLUTE WORST!
The metal or hard plastic arms on the chairs dig into your thighs & hips. You slide forward so its like a torture device making sitting still & comfortable a problem. Having any sort of lower extremity or back problem makes this 1,000,000,000 times more difficult because your only other option is to sit at a high top in chairs that aren't made for anyone that isnt a twig. This waiting room says "youre not welcome here! LEAVE NOW & NEVER COME BACK"!

They alerted me to some issues with my car that were desperately needed to be repaired due to safety issues in addition to what I had brought my car in for to be serviced. They worked with me to have my car in a timely manner in spite of the extra work that needed to be done. They were also patient with me when I literally could not pick up my car until five minutes before closing time on a Friday evening, while I was waiting for my husband to return home to get me to the dealership.

Saturday February 15th.
They are incompetent or untrustworthy. We were looking for a specific vehicle. We found it online at this dealership. We called to make sure it was still available. They confirmed it was. We made an appointment for 4:30 pm. They said they would have it ready for a test drive. Then we drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there. Arrived at 3:45 pm. We were told it was sold days ago. Additionally, they close at 4 pm. They did note they see the 4:30 appointment but close at 4 pm.

Monday February 17th.
I just received a call from this dealership informing me I missed my appointment on Saturday. I did not have the energy to explain to them that we drove 1 hour 15 minutes to find the appointment was booked for when the dealership was closed and that the vehicle we were interested in was sold before we made the appointment. More incompetence.

Recently was in process of working on purchasing a vehicle. The complete lack of communication and responsiveness to questions is horrible. If they are this bad when trying to purchase a vehicle I can only image how bad the post sale support would be. Do yourself a favor and look to do business with another auto group.

We’ve been working with Holz since the early 2000’s, with most of our interactions being with the Service Department. We recently had the oil changed on our Equinox and with the oil change the multi point inspection was done. The inspection referenced some issues that needed attention. The last couple of appointments were scheduled by their Service Advisor, Matt. Matt was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond in having our inspection items taken care of! While I wanted to give a public Thank You to Matt for his superior service, I feel that it’s necessary to point out that in all of the times we’ve had to have work done at Holz, I don’t feel that we’ve ever had a negative experience. The entire team at Holz is to be commended for always putting the customer first in a timely and cost effective manner. It’s evident that Customer Satisfaction is job 1 with Holz!

ANOTHER GREAT SERVICE EXPERIENCE FROM HOLZ!

My 2016 Duramax started experiencing a DEF system problem just prior to a two week trip pulling my fifth wheel trailer.

With only four days before my trip I went to service at 7:30a without an appointment and explained my travel situation.

Nick, Service Consultant, without hesitation immediately scheduled a diagnosis and I left my truck for the day. As a courtesy, Joe drove me home.

Mind you, DEF system issues are never inexpensive and are labor intensive. I was fully expecting to see a four figure repair cost.

A few hours later Nick called with Good News and then Better News. My Duramax was repaired and there was no charge. WOW was I surprised.
Who ever goes to a dealer and drives away at no cost. Nick was able to find a General Motors service feature/program to cover parts and labor for the DEF repair.

KUDOS to Nick and also Troy, Master Service Technician, for the superior service experience at Holz.

I set up an appointment to see and test drive a specific truck via the Holz website.

Within 15 minutes of setting the appointment, I had been contacted by the dealership via phone, text message and E-mail.

On the day of my appointment, I arrived at the dealership on schedule (9:30 am) and asked for Steve Seeber as the text message reminder noted.

Steve was not prepared for my arrival and actually seemed confused that I was asking for him. He didn't know what vehicle I was there to see and needed to look it up. Once he got into the computer, he consulted with another employee and came to the conclusion that the truck I was there to see had been sold sometime the previous day or two.

It would have been great if someone would have reached out and let me know before I drove there (20 + min each way).

Before I left they asked if I was interested in seeing anything else while I was there. Bait and switch??? Sure felt like it.

Additional Info: The response from the dealership below provided an E-mail address that "was not found" by the system and was undeliverable. Nice work Holz.

Today I had the greatest, most awesome experience with Holz. I have worked with many dealerships in the past, but Holz stands out. I worked with Jessica Winker from start to finish. She works hard for the customer. She’s very knowledgeable, patient, and gets things done with ease. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to get things done with the customer first and foremost in mind. I had to travel quite a ways to get to the dealership, but Jessica set in stone from the beginning that it would be worth the drive. It was worth every mile. Also, I can’t leave out Beth in Finance. I had a great experience with Holz, for the most part. The service guy, Sean was very pleasant & friendly! I really appreciate him! Everything went well. My only concern is the long wait times for those of us that wait in the waiting room. I waited over 2 hours for my oil change. Another customer that was there at the same time waited for 4 hours for her car repair. So, perhaps next time we can ask for a loaner car, & hope that one will be available for both of us! That would be preferable. Thank you!

Very disappointed at GMC, ordered a New GMC ultimate in April 2022. It arrived in November, I went to sign and pick it up. Until after I signed all paperwork I was notified that it did not come with a feature I payed for, the super cruise.. Nothing was deducted and I was told all same model vehicles did not have this feature. Now I'm seeing that various people with the exact same year and model have the super cruise feature. Very disappointed at GMC and this location for not being able to help me after I discussed my concerns to them.

Edited Recently i have 2023 equinox RS that has a coax cable for my front sensors and grillle camera that is frayed. They insist it's from impact damage. I have had no collision on the passenger side of the vehicle. Only a deer that hit the driver side fender doors and rear bumper. I payed for an extended warranty and a faulty cable is not being serviced. This is causing my grille camera to glitch and it shows on the infotainment a system charge issue. Even with a detailed invoice from the body shop that did the repair showing that in no way was that cable involved in the impact, the service staff says the warranty wont cover it because its damaged.. from logical thinking it was a bad cable. The AC Delco battery that came OEM failed after 2 years having half the battery cells dead. That was a $300 adventure. The cable is another $153. So I guess I'll have to tear my car apart and do it myself. This all said as much as I love my car, I won't buy a chevy again. They appear to be lemons. Edit again now.none of.my vehicle cameras are working front rear and top views completely quit and i only get a warning on the screen of a red warning symbol and a camera and battery with a cross through it. So be smart stay the hell away from chevy's and their so calledwarranties. Absolute worst experience of my life. Even my 2001 intrepid that had 300k miles was better then this at 50k

I had to have a few keys made and they were a special kind of key that they needed to order which he told me would take about a week. Ok cool. I waited for three weeks. No call. So I called them and was told the keys were not there. So I waited 2 more weeks. Called again. Guess what?They had been sitting there. What a shocker! So I came in to get the key made……and literally, NO Seriously….stood around for more than 1/2 an hour. I know because time was getting a little long so I looked at my watch. So after this time the one person who was being even remotely helpful (Adam) went out to try the key and the thing didn’t work. After some more time and the discovery we needed two keys and, thank God my husband was with us, to make more keys we got it done. All told it took a little more than an hour and a half. I know these dates are right because I went in to ask for the keys the day after I got the truck because the truck was new to me. There was no apologies really given except the one exception Adam. There was no discount or maybe a cup cozy offered. Nothing. Just an entire month of waiting and at least an hour and a half of watching people stand around.

MUST READ!!!!!!! This is going to be a little long, but you must read all of this. A few weeks ago I was looking for a used truck, and I looked at dealerships from Spring Green, to Beaver dam, to Oconomowoc and all over and found a truck that I liked for a pretty good price at Holz. I went there to look at it and take it for a test drive and met Jessica Winker, who ended up being my sales associate. I expressed concerns I had about buying a used vehicle and told her about an issue I had buying a vehicle from Kearns about 10 years ago. (I bought a vehicle from them and 3 months later they found metal shavings in my oil pan and I ended up needing a new engine and Kearns did nothing) Jessica promised they weren't like that and they do everything they can to take care of their customers, and not only did Jessica answer every one of my texts in a timely fashion, and I text her A LOT, she never let it bother her and got back to me every time, plus on weekends and when she wasn't even on the clock!! Well a week and a half after I bought my truck from holz, which was an AS IS sale with no warranty my water pump went out. I messaged Jessica and explained my situation and I really did not expect them to do anything because it was an as is sale. Well I couldn't have been more wrong! The sales manager Steve called me and said that they want to make it right and offered if I buy the water pump that they would put it in for me!! All I can tell you is that when holz tells you that they are going to take care of you and they're going to make sure everything is right they mean that 100%! I highly, highly recommend going and talking to Jessica!! Not only was she really knowledgeable she really helped me out and put up with me when I was being annoying! Go check out Holz!!!

Jessica was awesome from the very beginning. I was looking for a truck and I only had about 4 days to find what I needed. She did not pressure me in any way shape or form. I did however have an issue with my brand new 2022 Silverado 2500. I only have 258 miles on it and the ECM already broke and it’s been in the shop for 3 days now and they’re not sure when I’ll get it back. I’m waiting to see what sort of compensation they offer me since now I’m 3 days behind on a job I was supposed to start on Monday. Hopefully my customer doesn’t fire me and I lose out on a $15000 fence. We shall see how this goes…
