Hector and his team at HM Insulation were great. Quick response time and they fit me into their schedule as I had a slim window between other contractors to get the job done. Also, they were very concerned I was happy with the job and told me to reach out if I had issues with their work.
I would recommend and use them again.

Hector is a great honest hardworking person, as well as his crew!! They did an EXCELLENT clean up of our attic which was invested with mouse & Bat poo. Blew in the correct updated insulation and our home stays cooler upstairs now! Thankful for them!! Looking forward to hiring them for the crawl space as well!!

These guys are great! They went above and beyond in all ways. Before they even started they laid some traps to check there was no rodent or other infestation.
The crawl space in our 1975 house was what might be termed “over ventilated”. But all the little spaces were filled with foam. The access to the crawl space was sealed with a custom made door to keep out the wind, all the water pipes were insulated and a new vapour barrier fitted.
He found an upright that was floating somehow, and added a batten to it so that it now fits on its base again.
He even got the blower out of his truck and cleaned off the deck where a deer had raided the bird feeder!

Neat, on time, on budget. Everything you need from a company. He’s even coming back in a couple of weeks to double check there are no signs of infestation.

We have already arranged for them to come back to update our roof insulation!

I used HM Insulation to insulate my shop.
They were very professional and did a great job for a fair price!
Hector made sure that any gaps around the windows, doors and electrical wiring were filled with spray foam prior to installing the fiberglass insulation rolls in the walls.
They also installed ventilation soffit baffles, and then returned after drywall installation to blow in fiberglass in the attic space.
I would definitely recommend them for any insulation project around the Oak Harbor area.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
