First time here and I'm so pleasantly surprised I wish I knew about this place sooner I will never buy anything at Lowe's again that I can buy Here people are so much more helpful and pleasant

Very helpful. Only place n town, that I could find, that has 6"x8"x16" concrete block. Been a long time from the last time I have been there.
6/4/24- only place to have zip board. They were very helpful. Cheaper then the competition also!

Great place to do business. Have built one new house and remodeled 2 in last 10 yrs. Fair prices. Good service. Willing to go extra mile. Have always helped me find whatever I need if they do not have in stock. I continue to do business with them. Bought large windows from them 10 years ago and they all still look great. Anderson the manufacturer of the windows has been by twice to check on the windows. Couldn't be more pleased.

Best supplier around. I've used them for a few years and they always out do themselves. Ordered drywall yesterday in a bind. Was told it could be a couple days that they were pretty busy. They beat me to the job with it this morning. Brought in thru upstairs window and gone in under 20 minutes.

Great building supply. They have everything we need. Engineered trusses in stocks. Everyone else said they are on backorder. Advantec in stocks. They deliver. Will order trusses from them also from Chattanooga plant. Anderson windows also.

Love shopping at local family businesses. Most of the time, they have what I need at better prices than the big stores. Very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend.

Shop here a lot, friendly and helpful staff,can order items not in stock better lumber selection than competition, better price also

As a General Contractor I am highly recommending NOT buying trusses from Hiwassee. After two and a half months of waiting (I was told a week) they ran out of lies and excuses and just cancelled my order instead of making things right. At the two month point I received the floor truss package. Out of a 3,000 square feet floor plan, there 10 floor trusses missing, 8 were too long, and two were sagging. When I called to tell them about the problems, they called me a liar. After framing in the missing wall trusses and adding a wall that we were not intending, they called and said they found my trusses in their lay down yard because the truck "forgot to pick them up". When I explained how we installed the framing which was supported by wall, they told me they would not be liable for the trusses that I would have to remove the framing. Since the house was already framed, we had to tear down two exterior walls, two interior walls, pull up the sub floor, and install the trusses after the house was framed. Still not having the roof trusses, I call to talk to one of the owners (Charlie). At the beginning of the first phone call he was very apologetic and admitted fault. He agreed it was a total disaster. By the end of the first phone call he said he would call me the next morning because he did not have any answers for me. The next afternoon I had to call him, as I never received a phone call. When I called him he told me he canceled my order. He gave me several excuses about his employees only work about 10% of the time due to "personal issues" and the company was having lots of problems. When I complain further, he told me, "at this point we should let our lawyers handle it". Worst experience ever.
