They generally have better prices than the big box stores. This store gets a lower rating because its smaller than the new Waiakea location and they copied my keys wrong once.

My personal feelings is that most of the time the associates are friendly and helpful but there's a few who needs an attitude check, then it's like there always watching you maybe it's me who knows .but other than that I this store

Always come here for stainless bolts, washers, nuts etc. as the big box stores never seem to keep up on stock.

I was looking for vacuum cleaner bags for my hand-held Oreck cannister, but they had none even though they were advertised as in stock.

Sometimes the store seems a little small for the number shoppers there but usually a positive shopping experience. Most times they have what we need.

This local store has everything! Maybe not a lot if everything, but they do a great job of keeping a large variety of household and repair items in stock. Their coupons and a great value too.

The store is a little crowded with stock. Staff helpful and friendly. Have gone repeated times because I can get help and advice from the staff.

Went on Father's days. 2 of the 3 people working the 2 guys not the nice young woman worst customer service I have ever experienced at an ace hardware.Couldnt/wouldn't answer my questions on prices of items without a price listed ? isn't that the most basic part of his job. then when I was leaving with my son and wife the other worker closed the gate leaving me no exit point from the parking lot. So I opened the gate to drive off the lot, get in my suv and the guy has ran and closed the gate again. just cursed at him to open the gate or else I get back out and make u! he did just enough. got to say goodbye Ace Hardware Hilo!

Ace is the place. Great and friendly service!!! Unfortunatly they are short staffed and with only 2 staff members on the day i visited... they are doing their best to help everyone to the best of their abilities. Good job guys.

You'll probably be able to find what you need here, but in a limited selection. They do have a great variety of things, and the prices are decent. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is limited so you may have to go around the block once.

If I need something for my project, I know that I can find it here. The staff are very helpful. They try their best to offer me options and other avenues to complete my job. Thank you for the exceptional customer service!

Nice store, clean, on the small side, but usually has what I'm looking for. If I need something the store doesn't carry it isn't a problem to ask an associate for help to find it, even if it's at a different store.
