From start to finish, our experience with Premier Improvements Solar was excellent. The sales process was transparent and easy to understand, with clear explanations of our options and costs. The installation team was highly skilled and professional, and they cleaned up the area after the job was complete. If I could give them six stars I would!! From start to finish Adam was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, then during the install process they have top notch engineers with you they whole way (Valter is da bomb!), and the best part is they are local, (Taylor in Customer Service is super helpful, there!). Technology wise their dashboard is cool as all get-out and within 1 week I was already generating credits!!! The live dashboard is what really got me into it and now its so nice to see what i can tweak and improve in my house to make it even more efficient!

With my wife and recently moving to CT in our new home, we were filled with many emotions, and deciding to go solar felt like it could be overwhelming — but thanks to Adam, and the whole team at Premier Improvements, the entire process was absolutely seamless. We also had a great experience working with our project managers Brian and Valter, who kept things on track and moving forward to which we really appreciate. But we have to give a huge shoutout to Chadwick, who installed our system. Not only did he walk us through how everything works and make sure the setup was clean and done right, but he also went above and beyond. From the initial inspection, to the roof replacement, and to the installation of the solar panels he checked that everything was in place ensuring the safety of everyone and also respecting our property and showing us how the system works. We did have a few issues after hours with some other parts of the project, and Chadwick was there for us at every corner—super responsive, respectful, and genuinely helpful.

We also did run into a couple of hiccups with EverSource (Which is completely out of our control and also Premier's control), but Premier took care of everything and made sure we got up and running with our solar panel system as soon as possible. From coordinating with the city inspectors, to even removing our massive trees in front, and trimming some other high branches, Premier handled it all.

Honestly, we thought going solar would be a nightmare because of the horror stories we've heard, but after doing our research and going with Premier, we couldn’t be more grateful. They’re honest, straightforward, responsive, and genuinely care about doing things right. In fact, we just met with Adam a few days ago as he was in the neighborhood, and wanted to see our finished project, and it was so great to catch up with him again!

Premier Improvements is awesome! Great staff and support every step of the way. They have guarantees other companies don't offer. I was the MOST skeptical about going Solar... but the system we got is producing the KwH we need - and the current overproduction we're seeing now, is on track to cover the highest useage of the coming summer months!

I recently had Premier Improvements install solar panels and a battery storage system at my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and on time. They answered all my questions (and I had plenty!) and made sure I understood every step of the process.

Taylor and Chad were very attentive and helpful in the process of roof and solar removal and reinstalling our solar system. Unfortunately due to our current solar carrier we had to go with a different company, but would have preferred to have premier do roof replacement and solar removal and installation.

Last summer, Premier Improvements Solar installed my solar system on my roof. Brian and Chelsea were excellent, and the process went smoothly. I specifically chose a local company for the reassurance that they would be readily available in case of any issues that could come up in the future. Their pricing was fair, and they even assisted me with the paperwork for the local Green Bank lending program, a service that some larger national companies were not providing at the time.

For me, the true measure of a company's worth is how they handle issues that arise after the sale and installation. This is why I was particularly impressed with Premier Improvements Solar quick response. I've heard stories from friends who had worked with large out-of-state solar companies that had to wait for months for a simple repair. However, Premier Improvements Solar demonstrated its commitment to customer service by promptly addressing my system repair issue.

Recently, my system stopped working on a Friday. When I tried to reboot it, I received an AC error message and was instructed to call my installer for tech support. I was worried that the issue could take a while to get fixed, but I emailed Chelsea the system data on a Sunday morning, not expecting a reply on the weekend. To my surprise, she got back to me that morning and put me on the repair schedule for Monday. She also mentioned that it sounded like a fuse had blown, and it would possibly be a quick and easy repair.

Brian came out to look at the system on Monday and was back with fuses on Tuesday morning, and my system was up and running again that day. I'm very satisfied with Premier Improvements Solar quick service to my issue, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, local solar company.

I had almost given up hope finding a solar installer who was actually local to the area, and not just another national solar syndicate masquerading as a local company. I was delighted to discover Premier Improvements. I found Adam and Brian to be incredibly knowledgeable about local regulations, and it was a pleasure working with them every step of the way. After listening to a pitch from about 10 installers over the course of a week, Premier had the best price, were willing to work with the CT Green Bank (unlike many of the national syndicates) and, BONUS, they are really a local company. We have always wanted solar panels on our house and Premier Improvements was a great choice! Brian, Chelsea, and Adam are a great team and always there to help throughout the process! We knew we could always call/text or email anyone on the team and they would get back to us with quick responses. They took care of the whole process for us- from install, to inspection, to the final step of getting our panels turned on. We love our solar and are very happy we chose Premier, we highly recommend them!

I am now a year out from PTO with my panels from Premier Improvements and I would like to update this review.

Overall, my time with Premier since my last review has been very positive. While admittedly things were a little heated due to the previous review, I feel that the team at Premiere really did step up to what I was hoping for. I felt they took my concerns seriously, thoroughly answered my questions regarding the Premier Protection Plan, and worked tirelessly to solve the problem facing me and my panels.

This problem was complex to diagnose. I had regular visits from the electrical team. Several different solutions were tried. Premiere went above and beyond here, upsizing the wiring to my house from the panels, not once but twice. An additional inverter was added to the system to attempt the correct the problem. Ultimately a transformer was required to reduce the voltage coming from the street, which Eversource, unsurprisingly, was unwilling to help at all with.

Throughout this time Premiere remained professional and friendly. I also personally feel they were humble in troubleshooting this problem, bringing in half a dozen different consulting companies and solar partners. They were tenacious and solved my problem, and I am now generating electricity at my expected output.

While this process took time, I felt significantly less frustrated throughout this period, mostly due to the fact that it was obvious that they were doing everything they could to help me. Premiere is a small company and one should keep that in mind when choosing them, but they were also the only ones I spoke to who were willing and able to give me the solar setup I wanted, and that is worth a lot.

I can’t recommend Premier Improvements as a positive solar experience.

They started out promising. Brian was very approachable and eager to work with us. We had specific needs that he was willing to accommodate, and the price and financing were excellent. However, at no point would I consider them to be timely, and it has only gotten worse once the financing cleared and the panels were installed, which is only about half of the project.

We initially signed paperwork in May/June of 2022. We were told there was several months backlog and we probably wouldn’t get the panels installed until September. Annoying, but understandable. This slowly pushed back into December, and finally early January for the installation date.

Brian was responsive and available up until this point. Once our panels were installed and Premier was paid, I stopped receiving nearly as attentive service. At this point, we still needed to have a trench filled in, have the system inspected, and have it cleared with Eversource. We didn’t even have the system inspected until late February. I would get about one check in a week from Premier.

We had a further complication with Eversource. Due to some paperwork that was improperly filed (that Premier did actually correct – Eversource’s error in the long run), Eversource did not turn the panels on until early June. At this point I thought we were done. However, June was a very smokey and rainy month so it wasn’t until early July 2023 that I realized there was a problem and the panels were not performing optimally. I alerted Premier immediately, who denied this problem for 10 days before confirming that it was real and that one of my inverters was only operating at half capacity. It took another 2-3 weeks just to get an electrician out to look at them, where they told me it was a system update that was needed and that the panels were fixed. The next sunny day, it was obvious to me that they were not fixed, and I was told “we are working on it” and have heard nothing back for a week. At this point I have been only generating about 75% of the power my system is capable of, for two months.

I’ve tried to remain optimistic through all this, the people at the company are genuinely nice and appear to be trying to help me, but the pace of getting anything done is just not worth it.

Today I had Adam at my home. I've been shopping around for solar and to tell you the truth Adam, was the only one that was upfront and honest. He told me what it is and what could be, without sugar coating it. I appreciate how well informed he made me.

Adam and his group made the process of going solar easy. From the time we started they answered all my questions anytime I had one in a timely manner to make me feel comfortable making this investment in my home to help us save money. I would recommend anyone to go with Premier Improvements they did a great job!

First off, I want to say that Premier Improvements have been a great company to work with. I originally looked into solar at my previous location about eight years ago. One of my coworkers was saying how he got solar on his house with no money down. When I looked into it, most of the solar companies were pushing solar leases and it just did not seem like a good deal to me at that time.

I’ve moved to a new place since then and several factors made me consider solar again. Our local utility keeps upping the rates. Plus, there were better incentives than the last time I checked. And, the roof on our house was also in need of replacement. I looked into several companies, and without a doubt, Premier Improvements was the best one I spoke with. They are a SunPower dealer, and I liked the idea of having all of the major components coming from the same company. They also were able to do the roof and coordinate with SunPower so that everything was timed properly. The old roof was stripped and replaced with Owens Corning 50 year shingles in one day. The crew was good. They took the time to make sure that my landscaping was protected, and the yard was clear of debris when they left. The roof looks great, and it has stood up to three high wind/rain events. Overall, I am very happy with the job they did on the roof. As far as the solar install goes, they have been great at keeping SunPower on schedule. When SunPower came to do my install, the weather was not cooperating and they were unable to install the panels. Premier Improvements kept them on track and even got SunPower to come out on a Saturday to finish the install so that the project would keep on track. They also took care of all the permits, and have coordinated with our utility to get us connected.

I am very pleased with Premier Improvements and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for solar.

Our solar system has been installed although we are still waiting for Eversource to swap out the meter so we can be turned on. The process was easy and Adam did all of the work to get us on the road to saving money and avoiding the rate/delivery fee hikes that are coming from Eversource.
