I dont know this company but i know one of their drivers is very unsafe, crossing red lights in traffic in a company vehicle. I almost got T- Boned this morning when my light was green. Check your dash cam and get that driver some traffic lessons before he kills someone. 8:30am 6/14/25

My home is only 10 years old and I have had roof leaks repaired 2-3 times in the past only to re-occur. Very frustrating. I met a gentleman on a guys golf trip who had retired from Highland Roofing and I asked him for a contact there to have my current leak repaired. Robert Cook came to my home at the agreed upon inspection time, thoroughly inspected our roof and gave me a quote for a full repair. It was more than I expected but thoroughly worth it. The recent deluge last weekend (9/27-9/29) from hurricane Helene here in Louisville did not allow any leaks. Nuff said.

Highland Roofing assisted us with tornado repairs to our roof, gutters, and chimneys. They were extremely responsive, communicated with us consistently throughout the process, and did a great job completing the work quickly (and cleaning up thoroughly afterwards). We have an older home with box gutters built into decorative eaves. I hired Highland Roofing to repair the box gutters. The initial interaction was promising, with a reasonable estimate and a patient estimator who took the time to discuss details on the roof. Unfortunately, the actual execution of the repairs was underwhelming.

While the interior copper was patched, the decorative gutters were left in poor condition, and it seemed like some areas sustained additional damage during the repairs. My requests for a quote or even a referral for this repair were ignored. The work crew appeared confused about the specifics of the job, and their lack of attention to detail was evident in the lack of cleanup and sharp copper remnants scattered around the yard.

The billing process was another point of frustration. Though the final bill matched the estimate, the payment process felt like a step back in time. Highland Roofing does not offer an online payment portal, only accepting handwritten checks that must be mailed or physically dropped off at their office. When I inquired about digital payments, I was told they'd impose a 3% fee on card transactions.

Dealing with Highland was not only disappointing due to the underwhelming repairs but also frustrating because of their antiquated approach to customer service and payments.

I don’t leave reviews often. Only if the standard of care is so bad or so good. Highlands came highly recommended by several people. About a year ago, I called them to have them look at a problem on my roof. Receptionist took my name and number and said someone would call me back. No one did. I called again. Same thing. No call back. Called again. Same thing. I gave up. Now, in the big storm this week, that problematic part developed a leak, I gave them another call back because again people recommended them. Receptionist took my name and number and said someone would call me back. I explained to her I went through this almost exactly a year ago. She apologized and assured me someone would call me back that day. It’s been two days now: no one has called me. At this point, I’ve found a roofing company who was very responsive and incredibly thorough. I’ve moved on.

First, this wasn’t a first time non-response. Second, you haven’t returned my call in two days. I get it, there were storms. Which is why I didn’t post immediately despite assurances they you would return a call that day. However, you responded to my review in less than four hours after posting.

A person answers the phone on the first ring. She knows what she’s doing. Made an appointment. Robert came, accurately diagnosed, gave us a repair estimate. Did not demand a deposit. Sent repair crew next day. Problem solved. This is in complete contrast to a competitor, who came quickly, got our check, and would not respond to any contact after we paid. Surprised Highland was so good on our small job. Will recommend to all.

We've been using them for almost 20 years and they're great. They did a new roof for us way back when, just recently did a repair job, and will be doing the next new roof in a couple of years. Prices are competitive, the work is solid, and they're super efficient and easy to work with.

Representatives very professional. Repairs were completed on the day scheduled. I have full confidence in Highland roofing. They replaced my roof 13 years ago, and I will rely on them for both repairs and replacement in the future.

I use Highland for all my roof repair needs, which have been a decent amount on an old highlands house with lots of old trees nearby... Robert has always been great to work with—prompt at responding, friendly and professional, great at getting guys over to work quickly after estimate provided, and they have found things others have missed, all at very reasonable prices. A new roof is a major investment for your house. It can be very stressful. Highland Roofing was very professional throughout the entire process. Dennis Thomas is as knowledgeable and helpful as there is. His answers to my questions via email were always answered by the next day. He took the time to bring samples and install on my roof so I could see them in all lighting situations. As the process moved forward he gave me addresses of houses that had the shingles installed that I was considering. They take their time and do it right; right down to putting the nails in by hand. The workers were courteous. They filled me in throughout the process. Inspectors came twice during the installation. The process was practically stress-free; would use them again in a heartbeat.

An ice storm damaged our roof. Water was pouring onto our newly refinished hardwood floor. A cry for help (actually a text to Jim Ramser, Highland's owner) got an immediate response even though Jim was out of town on vacation. He had a crew out in just over an hour. Cutting through two inches of ice, temporary repairs were made. The next day, Valentine's Day Sunday, they returned and removed even more ice and finished sealing the leak. The seal has held through several major storms but Jim said because of the amount of damage, we should replace the roof. We had him do it. His crew spent several days here (large roof) and were neat, professional and accommodating in every way. We even had them add three inches of insulating foam to our roof. We highly recommend Jim and Highland Roofing.

Our roof at Flue De Lis Condominiums was damaged by hail and our insurance company used Highland to replace the entire 40,300 sq. ft. They did an excellent job keeping us informed so we could keep the residence update on what the areas they were working on. All the employees we dealt with were professional and friendly. I would recommend them highly to anyone or Home Association looking to have roof work done.

So impressed with Highland Roofing! We were in desperate need of a roof repair as water was leaking into our home. Brock and his associates were incredibly professional and knowledgable. We made the mistake of going with another chain roofing company first that was not able to fix the leak. The Highland crew did it in a few hours! These guys are great - thanks again Highland!

I had a company come out three times to fix a leak in the roof above my kitchen. Three times! They couldn't fix the leak and returned what I had paid. I still needed the leak fixed so I contacted Brock at Highland and he sent someone out. He found the leak was due to my roof flashing. You know how long it took to find the leak? FIVE MINUTES. They came back out not too long after and fixed the issue and made some improvements to make sure it never happens again. I couldn't be more pleased with the service and the results.

Top marks for everyone working with Dennis and Chris including Kendall, the mason. The entire crew worked well together, arriving on time and leaving our home clean of roofing materials at the end of each day. We were referred to Highland by friends and will happily refer Highland to others. Thank you.

Personnel were prompt and very professional. The roofs took several days to complete, requiring a complete tear-off and re-shingling of the residence and (2) barns. Each day began just after day-break and ended with the roofs in a condition such that inclement weather would not cause a problem. The messes associated with the tear-offs were cleaned-up daily and the new shingles were applied with skilled experience. The finished roofs are very attractive.

Highland Roofing recently installed a gorgeous new roof, relined box gutters, and reconstructed ornate wooden dentil work on our 120 year-old Highlands home. Their work was reasonably priced, and the follow-up has been outstanding. When--after the installation--we noticed areas where water was still over-flowing the gutters, Highland Roofing immediately enlarged a copper overflow station and added copper flashing and more downspouts at no additional charge. They're now helping us trouble-shoot problems with four chimneys, again at no additional charge.. Highland Roofing gets an A+.

Highland roofing was very professional, good at communicating, and thorough with installing a roof on an old home and garage that I had just purchased. Pricing was very fair for one of the top rated roofing companies in Louisville and they went beyond expectations on working the job into their schedule on short notice. My realtor was very impressed.

I called them to see if they could come assess a roof leak and quote a fix. Took them a little while to respond, but they did; couple fellows came and climbed around on the roof, discussed the issues; pleasant, seemed to know what they were doing. Called me back later with a quote for skylight replacement. I asked them what skylight they intended to put in, they gave me a make/model. I looked it up, it sells at Lowes, for $179 - I'd expected a $300-500 skylight, and thought the rock-bottom priced product on the market would be too low quality, but they said it was good and recommended it. They would replace two skylights and perform an array of miscellaneous repairs they'd recommended as well, which added $ to the quote. I asked them to please send me a punch-list of the misc. repairs that would be included, and to tell me when they could come and do the work. They said they'd send me the punch-list and call back to schedule the repair. I never heard from them again. Very strange, but that's what happened. I moved on.

Did a great job on our roof. They even took the time to use a magnet to pick up all of the nails.
