We’ve had great experience with High Point. Nice quality of work, good communication and always on time. Great value for the money too. They replaced our shower with tiles and remodeled the bathroom. We were so pleased with the work that we engaged them to replace our fence this Spring and going to replace our deck this summer.

Great service, communication, and response time. Been working with High Point for over 5 years now on two different homes in the area. Also, very helpful when you are selling your home as well as purchasing a new home and need to make adjustments before moving in. I cannot recommend them enough! Some of the scope of work done was renovating a bathroom, shelving, plumbing, electrical (adding ceiling lights and fixing broken sockets/switches), painting the whole house (interior and exterior) including adding base trim, and a ton more work. I've used 4 other contractors/handymen before High Point and I will say that they are the most professional by far.

High Point Contracting is top notch. They finished an unfinished storage space in the attic for us and were meticulous from start to finish. Herbert is very easy to work with, his employees were always on time, courteous, and kept a clean work space. We will hire them again when we need our house painted or for other construction jobs.

Herbert, Jose and Dennis are some of the coolest handymen around. We've been working directly with Jose on a weekly basis and he is absolutely amazing at what he does- incredibly talented. Herbert answers every single time I call and is always getting me out of whatever home jam I'm in.

I cannot recommend Herbert and High Point Contracting enough. We’d had an extremely challenging time finding any company willing to fill some gaps around our piping in a tight, exterior-access crawl space. After contacting multiple handymen, pest control companies, and waterproofing contractors that were unwilling to do the job, we called High Point on a whim. Herbert was responsive, professional, and gave a prompt and fair quote. He scheduled us for just a day or two later, arrived on time and with the right materials, and skillfully sealed the gaps. He took a number of helpful photos so we could verify that the work had been completed to our satisfaction. He’s also just exceedingly friendly! 10/10 experience, and will definitely be calling them again.

Had high point doing multiple jobs for us for us from fence, drywalls, bathroom lights n floors. However they installed two recess lights in our bathroom, the two lights are not the same type (one is flatter and one has rounded face), because they are different, one is starting to flickering and will turn off even they under the same switch!

I hired Herbert and his team to install four custom floating shelves plus some other work, and they were fantastic. They always arrived at 7am sharp, and finished a day earlier than planned. The shelves are rock solid and look great, and all the painting and electrical work was flawless too. This is the third set of floating shelves I've had installed, but the first time I've had them be custom built. The difference between custom built ones and manufactured ones is night and day, I'll never buy manufactured shelves again. High point has my strongest recommendation.

Padilla contracting did a truly excellent job. They repaired my ceiling after a plumber fixed a water leak. Their worker was very diligent, arrived on time, did not do any additional damage at all and cleaned up perfectly. Highly recommended!

At this point we’ve hired HP Contracting on several occasions, from ceiling patching and painting, exterior rail rust removal and painting, pressure washing, and exterior panel replacement. On all occasions, the job was done to a highly satisfactory level and if not, Herbert made sure to address it immediately without a fuss. The price is reasonable, and I am sure that HP Contracting will continue being my go-to for any handyman needs in the future.

Had a small project; replace the basement exterior door that was rotting. Herbert was early for every appointment. Responded immediately to all inquiries. On the day of the job, they arrived ten minutes before they said they would so they could start the job on time. When they finished, everything was cleaned and all debris removed. The quality of the work is excellent. I highly recommend High Point and will use them again.

I had a sudden water leak in the upstairs bathroom that caused some damage on the ceiling below, I reached out to Herbert and he was very quick to respond. He came out the next morning, carefully assessed the damage and gave a very fair estimate for the repair work.

After accepting his offer he came back with a colleague the following morning, right on time, and started the repair work right away. The location of the repair was in our kitchen and they did an amazing job of laying down tarps and protecting the rest of the house from any drywall dust and debris. They quickly finished the job and the ceiling looks brand new as if nothing ever happened.

Herbert and his team were punctual, professional, and respectful. Highly recommended!

We Have used High Point for several projects, including a complete closet remodel, installation of LED downlighting, custom build of fireplace trim, and installation of sinks in our half-baths (which included installation of studs and backing board in the wall, securing sinks, and patching and painting). Had an appointment and they texted me about 90 minutes before to confirm. I replied in less than an hour but they already canceled. Didn't ask me to confirm a day or 2 days earlier, just 90 minutes prior. I happened to have been in the bathroom and missed their text.Whats the point of making an appointment if they aren't interested in keeping it? I don't think they wanted to show up, probably got a better job for that morning than coming to give me an estimate--who knows. I had arranged my work day around them coming. Beyond unprofessional.

EDIT 7/30/2024--I am just seeing the response from the owner. The response is false. I never postponed the appointment. He didn't wait 2 hours for anything at all. He literally called me 90 minutes prior to the appointment on the appointment date and cancelled because I didn't answer the phone. I did call him back very soon after he called but he told me he had already decided to cancel.

High Point Contracting did an excellent job painting my deck! Employees were on time and worked hard to make my deck look practically new! Herbert made sure that I was pleased with the work and he has excellent communication skills with his employees and customers. I highly recommend them for home improvement projects and I will definitely call on them again!

We had an accident in our home and needed some ceiling drywall repair and flooring removed / installed. This was our first time hiring a contractor to work on our home. The High Point team did a great job. They showed up on time, worked hard, cleaned up, and completed the projects quickly and as scheduled. We wanted to match our other flooring and it was not available locally. Herbert was collaborative and pushed our install date out to wait until the flooring arrived. Herbert is responsive, helpful and we’ve already recommended him and his team to a family friend.

High Point Contractors completed 1st job, grey slate flooring on our screened in porch. It's breath taking beautiful. We are getting more floors inside done too! Part 2:High Point Contractors just finished up at my house. Both exterior and interior painting, work is excellent. Repaired our caved in back porch and steps. We had slate floors installed on three floors inside and our screened in porch. Herbert is very honest, cooperative and open to suggestions. Easy to work with. Repaired a caved in wall from moisture and can't tell it was repaired. They installed a fence and replaced our broken back stairs. And his price was lowest quote too.

Herbert runs a tight ship. I asked for solutions for reinforcing old drywall ceilings prior to attic re-insulation. We agreed that a 1/2" drywall overlay would be more efficient and less messy and disruptive than removing the existing ceiling.
After meeting on site, Herbert provided a detailed e-sign estimate and got on his calendar about two weeks later. He and his crew showed up at 7:15 for a 7:30 prompt start -- every day for the 11 work days of the job. The work proceeded exactly on schedule. Clean and efficient crew. Will definitely hire again.

In my experience, when dealing with handyman services you can only pick two of the following three options: Reasonably Priced, Quality Work, and Reliability. High Point Contracting has proven me wrong because they checked all three of those boxes. They tell you what they're they going to do, they do it, then they tell you what they did. Also, they will not accept final payment until you say you are happy with the work performed. I will absolutely be using them again!

I needed a handyman for general repairs, miscellaneous items, and indoor painting of my home and called some places and got some quotes. For the items I needed, the quotes were outlandish and you could tell I was getting taken advantage of when these places had not even seen what they needed to do yet. I think my saying to them was “for what?! barely anything?!” Herbert met me and came and saw the items I needed done and quoted me with a very reasonable quote and then while him and his personnel came out they had to do some extra items unforeseen cause it’s just the law of the land, when you fix one thing, something always comes up. Herbert and his personnel were very awesome about making those unforeseen details work and manageable and the time in which all the items were done were amazing. The professionalism and kindness and hard work ethic in Herbert and his personnel were second to none and I don’t think I could have asked for better people to do these jobs. I will definitely want to use HPC for anything I possibly can. I can’t stress enough just how wonderful and hardworking and professional this company is. I can’t thank them enough either. And they cleaned up everything too, which was very appreciated.

We called to get help in fixing a problem with an attic vent. Herbert came out and did a fantastic job repairing it. We will certainly call him again if we have another home repair we can’t manage.

We had a wonderful experience contacting and working with High Point Contracting INC. I called multiple electrician companies today (2022-02-04) on a Friday around 1-2PM ET to ask for help because the outlets in my bathroom stopped working. All but High Point Contracting INC said they would not be available until Monday. Therefore, when High Point Contracting INC said they were available, I was super happy!

He arrived to my house within 30 mins and immediately helped us to recognize that we need to do one more thing to get the outlets back online other than just flipping the switches on the breaker. We regained electricity in the outlets within 5 mins. He was super humble, kind, and professional (wore booties to come into the house). We were definitely given white glove service and quick customer support.

In the future, we plan to contract with this company for any handyman type of work. Thank you so much for your kindness and swift help!

Herbert was very responsive -- came to house to look at the problem and made an old assembly work with existing equipment as he recommended that the mechanism be replaced instead of buying parts. He did not charge for the visit. Will be calling him again in the fall for other projects.

High Point Contracting installed a new duct work for a vented range hood in my kitchen (also removed old and installed new range hood). We were in the process of selling our house when minor termite damage was identified. We reached out to High Point Contracting for an estimate. The owner, Herbert, reached out within a few hours and scheduled an appointment the following morning. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and the estimate he gave us was reasonable for the work required, which was completed a couple days later. Highly recommend!

I use this contractor based on a Facebook recommendation from one of my neighbors and am so glad I reached out. This was right in the middle of the pamdemic when contractors are swamped. I wanted a accent wall in my basement. Not only was the owner Herbert super responsive and professional, but he was able to deliver a beautiful creation that looked even better than my original idea. He gave me a few ideas and provided high quality materials and the best Sherwin Williams paint.He provided a very fair timeline and completed the work in a few hours. I would absolutely reccomend him and plan on using him in the future. I love my basement now that the work has been completed.

Herbert is the man! Very nice working with him and his guys. We hired them for a fence that was put up in a day, and when we needed a new expanded back patio and front walkway (not small jobs), they did a good job. He even made an idea that I had for a storage area/shed that we needed custom made happen and it looks great. Only caveat is understand the price of lumber and some materials right now is higher than normal, lots of people are doing work on their houses, so know that almost all work will be more than what it was. But, Herbert and his team make it worth it, stayed on time as much as possible and it looks great.

I found them on the Nextdoor app as they were highly recommended. Herbert is very responsive and was quick to answer any questions I had. I liked the fact that they took their time to do the job well and not rush through it. If you’re looking to stain your fence, look no further. Excellent service, impeccable quality and reasonably priced!

Herbert and crew resealed my deck and repaired a cracked chimney. In both cases they did great work and charged a fair price. I thoroughly recommend.

High Point did a wonderful job installing 3 light fixtures for us, one of which required them to modify a bracket so that it fit an odd mounting point we discovered beneath a previous fixture. We were incredibly pleased with their work and also with the care and tidiness that they used in our home. High Point is a class act and we will call them again.

We had Herbert and his team build stairs off our deck, a small patio and a few pathways. He and his team did a wonderful job. They were all very professional, hard-working, and easy to communicate with. We love our stairs and paths. They put a lot of thought into the design of the paths and patio since it was on uneven ground. Great value and highly recommend.

We had roof leaks 2 different times and Herbert was always very responsive and on time. he and his team are professionals. I highly recommend him. A lot of people in this profession aren't the most reliable when it comes to responsiveness and scheduling but he is. Thank you Herbert!

Herbert and his crew did a great job fixing up our fence, then power washing and re-staining it. They were timely with communication, on-time to the job each day and were very respectful (wore masks and observed social distancing) of my family and our home. They were knowledgeable and did great work! They even threw in an extra project (fixed front door lock) on the spot! They brought their own tools and cleaned up after themselves each day. We were impressed with their work and would recommend them!

The HP team did a wonderful job. They installed hand railing in basement staircase. They were very responsive and quick. The job was fairly priced and I was happy with the easy payment and receipt system they have in place.

Herbert added GFCI outlets and installed bidets in 2 bathrooms. Plus a real professional job plus repairing walls. I will use him again to a book case and shelving.
