I had a few pop-up shingles and exposed fasteners. Ted came out the next day and fixed them quickly with zero hassle. A real friendly, honest guy. Would absolutely recommend Heritage!

We had the owner out to look at a potential repair. This review is for the upstanding character of the business. He was prompt, kind, and supremely honest. Our situation didn't warrant work, and would have been considered more of a handyman type job. Yet the owner graciously offered his time and gave a ton of suggestions.

Noticed some water spots on our ceiling today and after several phone calls to other companies with no luck I called Ted who actually answered the phone and said he could come out to check out the roof in the next hour! And he actually did so. He was knowledgeable and gave me the information I needed. Very thankful and relieved. He will be my first call for anything roof related. Thanks Ted.

The replacement for a broken shingle was perfectly matched and aligned. There is no distinguishing where the repair occurred. Heritage is unique because most roofing companies are not available for repairs and maintenance. For when a new roof is needed, the technique used at Heritage reduces wear and tear and enhances longevity.

Heritage Roofing just completed our roof overhaul,though we are waiting on gutters. We dealt with a sudden need to Re-Roof a year old roof that was ridiculously unprofessionally installed at our Farm House in the summer of 2022. After vetting 9 separate consults from local and reputable roofing companies, we went with Ted and the fantastic Heritage Roofing team of Jeff, Carlos, and Tristian. Ultimately, we went with their wealth of experience; high level GAF certifications and insurance; and the fact the entire team is housed and health insured under Ted's business umbrella. All of these factors, in our eyes, were worth just as much as the roof itself (OK, not quite as much - LOL). Jeff and Tristian came out first to address ongoing leaking issues (in a year old roof!) before the first heavy autumn rains arrived. They worked an entire morning spot checking noted areas - ultimately, they walked the entire roof after what they were discovering. These temporary fixes held for an entire month until they returned and Carlos joined them. These men worked hard consistently in ridiculously unfavorable weather. They worked into the evening hours of darkness with headlamps to ensure the ridge vents and box vents were installed before the first snows. By the job's end, the manner in which Ted took care of us for shingle overage (pssst, if the satellite reading is incorrect or Ted makes a rare estimate mistake Heritage eats the cost) was simply the icing on the cake. They also provided us (at our request) a very professional documentation of the vast number of roofing errors the previous roofers had made to aid our ongoing legal action with that outfit. We are now proud owners of a GAF Timberline Ultra insured roof. We would happily recommend Heritage for any and all local roofing needs. You will not be disappointed.

I put in my information online with a short description of my problem. They came the same day to look at I and give me an estimate. Then they came right on time the next day and fixed it! Will definitely use again for any roofing needs, I highly recommend this company!

We bought our home in the winter and the inspector was unable to inspect our roof. I was told it was the original roof and wanted to get a professional to have a look at it before snow fell. Ted came out to inspect the roof and told me our roof was in great shape and even suggested a couple small things I can do myself to seal up a couple spots. Later on Ted texted me saying he looked up permits for our home and found that the roof was actually replaced ~9 years ago! He is a knowledgeable person and willing to help. Would gladly call his company again for any roofing needs.

The owner is great to work with and his service goes beyond a simple inspection, quote, and work. He is a value to our community and does right by his customers.

Edit: Ted has reached out to get me to remove this review. However, rather than simply apologizing for potential miscommunications, he was generally combative and constantly interrupted me, rather than actually listening to anything I said.

Context: I requested an estimate on roof repair directly. Rather than speaking to me and allowing me to be present, Ted stopped by the house completely unannounced and spoke to some random realtor (not mine!) that happened to be present. All I got back from Ted was a simple "not interested" text, rather than any explanation of the potential issues involved, or what might be necessary to resolve them. Attempts to get further insight on the situation were ignored completely.

Ted is well within his rights to refuse work. However, his communication and conflict resolution skills could use more than a little work. He should have discussed the situation with me personally, rather than speaking to some random guy who happened to be at the site when he dropped by unannounced. (He insists he did not have my number... but I still have his texts on my phone to prove that he should have.)

I will not be removing this review, as it is based entirely on the fact that Ted was dismissive rather than communicative, which apparently has not changed in the past year.

We had our roof replaced in 2010. They were timely, kept a neat worksite and the finished project looks great. We've since had Heritage replace a skylight with the same results. We'd highly recommend them.

So I can't speak for their ability to roof a house. We never got that far.
I called for an estimate and instead of scheduling a chance to come to my house and look it over, Ted spent the whole phone call telling me I had to fight my insurance company to cover an entire roof replacement. This is reasonable enough, I suppose, since my roof is old and does need replaced, but the insurance was for a leak in the roof that we found during the hard snows. I've been calling around, and because of Heritage's high ratings, I thought they might be able to help me.

Instead, after lecturing me on how my insurance policy is between me and my insurance, just like my roof is between Ted and I, and how he's there for me and not the insurance companies, I was told (not asked) that he would be by in 20 minutes to look at my roof and see what we could do to get it covered by my insurance.

Forty five minutes later, after what I can only assume was a drive by inspection of my house from the road, I get a phone call where Ted tells me that he "doesn't want to do" my roof, because "I could do ten roofs compared to that one." Flabbergasted, I simply said "Okay" because I had no idea what else to say? He hung up, and after thinking about it I realized that my problem wasn't that he doesn't want to do my roof. It was that he didn't even come onto my property to look at it, didn't come to my door, didn't even acknowledge that he was at my house. He didn't work with me, so much as he expected me to simply do as I was told.

I can't speak to the quality of their work, but the quality of the professionalism that I experienced was very unpleasant.

Edited to add: Ted reached out to me and offered to help me go over our options with insurance after we left this review, so we would change our rating here. I'm editing to highlight that I have no problem with them declining our job, just with the way we were treated. He texted us at 7am to ask us to remove our review and then called me twice and texted again to try to resolve the issue. I appreciate that he reached out to try to solve the issue, although I was at work and couldn't really do much except edit this review to include his follow up.

Heritage Roofing did an excellent job with our roof replacement in March 2023. Ted was very helpful, knowledgeable, and informative with any questions we had. We had three roofing companies bid for the job. All three were close on price, the difference was Heritage was the only company that said they would put back up our gutters included in the cost. The other two companies said we needed new gutters and would refer us to a company and it would be between $1,500-$2,000.
They did an amazing job with our roof and wouldn't go with any other company.

I was very impressed with this company.they did exactly what they said they would and more. They were very quick and professioal at getting done. They handled insurance. I just watched,, lol. Thank you!

Ted Flynn was great! We had been very pleased with a quote we'd gotten from him, but then had to leave town for a family emergency. We actually went ahead and had Ted and his crew install our roof while we were away, and they were the right folks to entrust with the job and our home. The roof went up quickly, expertly, and beautifully, and at a good value, too. Would recommend without reservation.

We needed some spots on our roof resealed. I notified Ted and he had a crew promptly repair the issue. We were very happy with the workmanship!

After getting alot of different roofing quotes we landed on Heritage Roofing. They weren't the cheapest but were also not the highest. They came in right in the middle. However..they were the ONLY company that told us our roof wasnt up to code and needed vents. From start to finish they exhibited high professionalism. The crew that came to tear off were polite and very mindful of cleanup. Still haven't found 1 loose nail and I tried Haha. The only hiccup came when they forgot to reattach the gutters but they were quick to come out and rectify that. I've never been happier with an construction company and would reccomend them to anyone and everyone needing roofing repairs done.

I am very happy I called Heritage Roofing! They scheduled a roofing estimate in a timely manner, provided me with references (which I did call), answered all my questions, and were very professional. The warranty on the roofing products as well as the workmanship was icing on the cake in my selection of Heritage to do the work. My project was scheduled to start about a month after I accepted their bid, however they called a couple of days later and due to rearrangements in their schedule were able to start my project the next day. Three days later it was done! The work crew showed up on time, cleaned up every day, were courteous and responsive when I had questions. It was fun watching the crane set the shingle packages on the roof because the operator had to weave it through the trees so there was no damage. They were able to work with me regarding some of our HOA covenants as well. Marshal and Joey addressed any issues that came up and took care of getting those things resolved. This meant one visit prior to work starting and two return visits after my project was done. The new roof is being tested with the current heavy rains and I have not found any issues. I highly recommend Heritage roofing & construction! Thank you so much for your care.

Heritage Roofing did an excellent job installing our roof. The workers were on time, courteous, thorough, and completed the job in a timely manner. We chose the option to have our old rain gutters removed and new ones installed. Payment was not expected until the entire job was complete. Marshall was thorough with his explanations about their product and service. He stopped by frequently to check on the progress.

My wife and I received a number of bids for our roof and skylight replacement. Marshall didn't just provide an estimate and leave. He followed up with answers to our questions, and oversight of the project. The craftsman at Heritage worked in conditions that were not exactly, meteorologically friendly. We were impressed with their careful attention to ensure that the project was completely timely, and in a workman like manor. Most importantly, integrity is so important when choosing a contractor for a large dollar project. Marshall, pointed out a very small area of siding that was damaged during the project. There was no back and forth, Marshall immediately accepted accountability and took care of it! That's a wow moment!

Marshall Huff from Heritage Roofing was able to come out within hours of my call to help evaluate the condition of my roof. He explained the roofing components thoroughly, and identified any deficiencies with my roof. I highly recommend Marshall and his company for excellent customer service, timeliness, and knowledge of the industry and product.

Heritage CARES about the work they do, the product they use and the customers they serve. The job does not end when the roof is complete. Over and over, Marshall encouraged us to feel free to call on him with any questions or issues and we know he means it. The crew who worked in not so great weather to put our new roof on were the utmost professional, courteous, polite and respectful bunch of guys. They left our property without a single thing out of place and no roof debris that we can find. During the job, if we had a question, they stopped, turned off any noise making equipment, answered our question and seemed happy to do it.
I just can't say enough about Heritage Roofing! We are happy with our new roof, and we are happy to be a reference for them.

Warranty work done on my roof, having to do with the color consistency, a color lot # type thing. Ted stood in my corner the entire time I went through the process and in the end, thanks to Ted, and an outstanding warranty, everything was taken care of, perfectly. Ted is there even after the job is done....3 years after!!

02/2023 - Due to a poor decision on my part, some damage was done to my new roof. I called Ted and explained what had happened and asked him if he could/would come look at it and steer us forward from there. He was very kind about the whole thing, as in he didn't asked "what the heck were you thinking?".
Instead, he came out, fixed the entire problem and provided me with not only peace of mind that my roof was ok but also, and perhaps more important, he offered a valuable sense of security and trust, knowing that humans sometimes don't make the best call and it's ok.
It's a big investment, not one you want to play with, if you are looking for a new roof, the best decision you can make is to call Ted @ Heritage Roofing.

My roof was really getting bad so I finally called and got several bids for replacement. Marshall called me back the same day and had me a bid ready in days. I picked Heritage based on the bid and the ease of working with them. They did exactly as explained, and finished quickly, restoring my yard to it's orecprev condition too. Roof looks great and I highly recommend this company.

We moved to Spokane in Nov 2017 and decided not to go another winter without replacing our roof and gutters. I started the process by obtaining numerous estimates from local roofing companies. Marshall came out for the initial inspection and to provide the estimate. He advised me that they had done some repairs to the our roof in Oct 2017 and had advised the previous owner that the original roof on our 23 year old home needed to be replaced. I was aware of the repairs but did not know Heritage was the company who did the work. Heritage provided an estimate in a timely manner that fully listed the work to be done and the material to be used.. After obtaining the other estimates Heritage came in with the lowest bid. Not only were they the lowest bid but the materials they were using were of a higher quality. Heritage communicated with me throughout the process and when it came time for the work to start I was fully aware of how long it was to take. The crews did a great job of cleaning up after each day of work. Once the roof was done John came and put on our new gutters with gutter guards. The roof and gutters look great and they did a great job. The permit process also went very smoothly. The city came out for the initial inspection white the roof was being installed and followed up with a 2nd inspection at the completion of the roof. This was fully handled by Heritage without any problems. When everything was done Marshall surprised me with the news that the warranty on my new roof had been improved by them with coordination with GAF. This was only possible because Heritage is certified GAF MasterElite Roofer. They made a great warranty even better. I am very happy with our new roof and the work performed by Heritage. I would highly recommend them for any of your roofing needs.

I am circumspect when hiring a company. Back in the fall of 2017, when the shingles blew off my roof, I reached out to Heritage Roofing after researching reviews. Glad I did! Makckenzie(the Office manager) and Marshall (The sales manager/foreman) answered my phone call and came out for an estimate right away. Of course, the weather turned bad and Marshall had to secure my roof until spring. During that time, Mackenzie and Marshall worked with my insurance adjuster and the roof was completed in June. The roof was completed quickly and looks beautiful! I strongly recommend this company and they will be the first ones I call when my rental house needs a new roof.

I bought an older home in September 2017. I knew the roof would eventually need to be replaced (the first layer of three layers was likely the original roof) but after a heavy rain in October, the repairs needed immediate attention. Marshall sent a crew out right away to address the issue. They with my choice of tarps in grey, green and black. I didn’t want to repair the roof until the early summer, but didn’t want to see a bright blue tarp on my roof all winter long. Excellent customer service! The crew was speedy and thorough and everything held until I had the new roof put on in June. I opted for composite in dark grey and it looks fantastic. The crew worked efficiently and did an awesome job. My roof is complicated, with a variety of pitches and trim that required attention to detail and careful work. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I’ve gotten lots of compliments from neighbors. Marshall was very responsive when I needed to reach him and helped me through a stressful time. The entire team was a pleasure to work with and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

We had Heritage Roofing replace a 28-year old roof on a rental house we own, as well as replace the rain gutters. The entire experience was good: Heritage responded quickly to a reaguest for a bid, scheduled the work within a week of our accepting the bid, and sent out a team of roofers who were skilled and efficient. The new roof and gutters have transformed the look of the house. We recommend Heritage highly.

I called Heritage Roofing due to a significant leak in my back bedroom. Within a few hours the Sales Manager Marshall Huff came out to give me a detailed estimate to fix the roof. After agreeing to a reasonable cost Heritage was able to come out the next week and replace my roof with a high quality product. I am grateful for their timeliness and professionalism and would highly recommend them to anyone that is in the market for a new roof!

So this last summer while attending the garland festival on garland street I was approached by glacier roofing telling me that if I had a certain type of shingle they could get my insurance to pay for a replacement. As a first time new home owner this sounded great to me, glacier told me I have to file a claim with my insurance claiming wind damage from the wind storms we had. I did that and my insurance only paid like 1/4 the cost of total replacement and I have a deductible of $2560.00. I ended up being pretty discouraged at this point cause who has 20k to pay for a roof replacement......not me. I scheduled and received 5 different estimates including one from glacier and one from heritage roofing, all of my estimates were around the 20k range but Marshall from Heritage Roofing was the only one who brought it to my attention that he could get my insurance to pay the rest and all I needed to pay was my deductible period.....no matter if insurance turned him down he would take that loss. I was so impressed I hired him on the spot signed the insurance addendum and felt so much relief. Here we are January 2018 and they just got done replacing my roof and Marshall has kept his word all I owe is my deductible, which he is also being very generous about letting me make payments.
The workers were all very respectful and worked hard on my house I appreciate everything Marshall and Heritage roofing has done for me and I will always be a lifetime loyal customer and I will be recommending heritage to everyone I know.

Had a great experience working with Heritage Roofing !!! Met with Marshall for inspection and quote. He was thorough in explaining his quote. Job came in at cost and NO SURPRISES !!! Quality of products is very good and the warranty was tops that I saw with other contractors. Due to wind storm a couple years ago, roofing companies are still loaded with work. Originally was told that it would be a month and a half due to the back log of work. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me two weeks later and said that they could do it that week. My experience was that they didn't just meet our expectations- they exceeded them !!.

Im currently in Denver trying to buy a house in Spokane. The inspection showed some damage to a few roof tiles and given that we recently had a huge hail storm here in Denver that cause enough damage that i need a roof replacement i wanted to play it safe and get my future roof professionally inspected.

I called Heritage and spoke with Marshall who agreed to go take a look at my future roof. After inspecting the roof Marshall called me with good news, that the roof is in overall good shape. When i asked for an invoice so i could pay him he refused and said that if in the future i needed some roofing work to please remember Heritage. That sort of courtesy is very rare and very much appreciated.
