Our roofing job was an amazing effort by a thoroughly efficient and professional team. The new roof looks great and the area around the house was returned to its original condition before they departed. We had an outstanding experience with Henderson Roofing from start to finish. Ben and Kevin were not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely caring throughout the entire process. They clearly laid out each step ahead of time, leaving no stone unturned, and made what could’ve been a stressful project feel seamless.

The entire roof was completed in just one day, and their crew left our property cleaner than they found it — which was a pleasant surprise! The next day, they followed up on a persistent issue we had near our chimney (which existed even before the roofing job), and they didn’t hesitate to come out, assess the situation, and implement a thoughtful solution.

Seven years ago John Henderson installed a new roof on my house in RI. The sales part of the process was excellent but the installation part was below expectations. There was poor attention to detail and inadequate project oversight and communication for the installation crew. There were too many loose ends to follow up with; trim pieces not re-installed, wood decking and flashing damage that was not addressed when the old roof was stripped and the gap between the cedar siding shakes and roof line was not properly maintained resulting in cedar shake damage over time.

Fast forward seven years and I had JHC perform a repair in conjunction with a GAF algae warranty claim I submitted. For the repair they installed ridge line copper flashing and new ridge cap shingles. (I had inquired about the algae flashing prior to installing the original roof but was told the GAF shingles were impregnated with material that would prevent algae so I opted not to install the flashing) The new flashing was supposed to run the entire length of the roof ridges but it did not. It stopped about eighteen inches short on both ends, both ridges. Also, the copper flashing and ridge cap shingles were not properly seated in multiple areas. Instead of a nice clean roof line there were bumpy areas where the flashing and shingles did not lay flat. Upon contacting JHC They did return to address the issues by 'patching in' copper flashing and resetting the high spots. It is frustrating and unnecessary to have to follow up with issues where with proper job communication, oversight and attention to detail should never happen.

So even with the previous review that I gave John Henderson seven years ago, including constructive suggestions to improve operational effectiveness it appears project management and attention to detail issues still exist. Based on my overall experience I would be hard pressed to recommend John Henderson Roofing.
