Called and was immediately set up for an appointment for an estimate to get a shower finished and closet. Jonathon was on time and finished quickly. His wife Amber also helped on one of the days. I first got in touch with Jonathan when I needed a contractor to install new window mechanisms on our casement windows. The window manufacturer provided the hardware but not the labor. Jonathan was the only contractor/handyman to say "sure, I'll give it a try!" It was a happy day when I finally was able to open all my windows again!
We then had him do a conversion of a built in desk area in our kitchen to create a coffee/wetbar. He was fast and reasonably priced. It came out beautifully.
My mother in law then had water damage in her house which led to a smallish renovation to include new LVP flooring, kitchen cabinet reconfiguration, new 1/2 bath reno, new drawers and doorsh for all cabinets, drywall install and repair, electrical work, etc. And Jonathan did it all! His work is beautiful and he and his wife, Amber, are a joy to work with. We plan to use him for a bath renovation as well as other projects. He and Amber are kind, honest, and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to recommend their services!

So, so pleased with our experience with these folks! Not only did they squeeze us in earlier than we expected, the work was done perfectly and in exactly the time we were told. No runaround, no hassle. We'll be calling back as soon as we need a bit more work done!

My wife contacted Help Around the House after several other "contractors" no showed. We had been trying to get an exterior door installed for months to no avail. We purchased the door from Home Depot & their installers didn't even show.

So, Jonathan is the owner of Help Around The House and he assured us he would get it done. Day of the scheduled install, he showed up at the agreed time and explained everything in detail. As the work progressed, I felt very confident. He and his wife Amber worked well as a team & cleaned diligently along the process.

Jonathan and Amber are terrific! I hired a so-called contractor on Angi and they measured for my patio door incorrectly then ordered the door but never showed up to install. Second contractor same story-no show. I called Jonathan and he was courteous, efficient and friendly. He showed up on time and made the door fit like a glove. We initially wanted to repair some flooring but after the consultation, decided it was much less expensive and better to put down new flooring. He is very professional and does a great job. We had him put down new flooring in the kitchen, install a backsplash and repair attic stairs for safety. We would definitely call him again, when needing repairs.

I needed a small repair for a leak in the siding/roof. Help around the house did the repair. I have to point out that they were honest, other local companies were quoting me 1000+ to do an unnecessary repair. I would definitely use them in the future.

Mr. Goochee was great to have in our home. He felt like family. We had our bathroom remodeled and even when we hit a few bumps in our design (my fault), he gave us a fair price to make it work. After all was said and done, we had a couple of punch list items to remedy. He was prompt in returning to make everything right. I have recommended him a few times over and will continue to do so.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys! Jonathan came out to install a bathroom vanity and baseboards, after we had an overflow in our sink and needed to do water mitigation. He went above and beyond expectations, even patched up a hole in our wall that wasn’t previously discussed. Jonathan called the day before coming out to touch base, he showed up at the time he said he would and he was extremely courteous. The work is excellent, the prices are reasonable and I’m going to be recommending him to everyone I know.

Jonathan and his awesome crew just finished a big remoldel on our master bathroom! They took out a pocket door separating vanity from toilet and 4 by 6 jacuzzi tub! Replaced all the tile and put in a walkin shower that is beautiful!!! They came everyday, on time and put down drop cloths to cover the carpet from the front door on through to the bathroom! These young men were so polite, and skilled! They brought joy and peace as they worked instead of poor attitudes, bad language and disrespect! We are so happy with the product and the price!!!

Jonathan came out to replace a exhaust fan which he did in about 30 minutes. And he also took care of a loose door blind for me which he did not charge for. Great customer service and great work. Highly recommend!

Luke and Nancy are lifesavers! I am not handy at all around the house and being a single Mom, I don't really have anyone to help me with getting these things done. I had a door in the house that wouldn't latch and it was causing problems because the cats would get into the room and wake my son up all night long! It was very frustrating and I had no idea how to fix the door! Luke fixed the problem in like ten minutes, and no more cats waking my son up! Luke and Nancy also helped me get a bunch of heavy boxes down to the garage that I couldn't lift because I'm pregnant! Seriously...lifesavers! Luke and Nancy are a phenomenal husband and wife team. I'm a single woman and I don't always find it easy to do the things around my house.
