I've had Hedrick Construction come out for roof inspections and minor roofing repairs over they years; they're kind and have always done a great job. The wild winds we've been having lately caused some of my upper-level siding to detach, and the Hedrick Construction crew went above and beyond, squeezed in my siding repair to their schedule, and even performed a roof inspection whilst they were here. It looks as good as new! Thanks so much!

Hedrick provided amazing customer service to my 82 year old mom. She needed a letter for her insurance company stating her flat roof was not rotting. Even though they did not install the roof, Shawn was more than willing to come out and look at it and give her the information she needed. Not only did he provide her the information he came to her house twice within 24 hours of the time she contacted him! I will definitely go with them for any future roofing needs. They went above and beyond to help her. When I offered to pay them for their help they said that wasn't necessary. Great local company to work with!

We had gotten a quote from Hendrick Construction Company for a new roof. We never signed anything nor agreed to go with this company, it was simply a quote. When we told the owner that we had gone with someone else, he ended up calling me and cussing me out for a good 5 minutes. He said that our new roof looked like.. sh.... I would give 0 stars if I could for how disrespectful this man was. Very poor professionalism.

They did an ah-mazing job on our garage roof replacement. They cleaned everything up so nice, you never knew they were even there!

I was very please with the quality of work, the people and the process. The crew was extremely hardworking and did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished.

When the derecho hit our town and I came up to see the damage to our house, I made three calls, 1st to our insurance agent, 2nd to our tree service company, and 3rd to Hedrick Construction. Shawn Hedrick came out to review our damage, worked great with our insurance adjuster, and replaced our roof, gutters and gutter leaf guards, and soffits. Shawn's crew came very quickly and repaired the damaged roof and the timing couldn't have been any better. There's a reason I always call Hedrick Construction for my roofing and siding needs, he does a very professional job, is very quick, and I never have to worry about the quality of his workmanship.

Hedrick Construction replaced the windows in our three season porch. Shawn listened to all our concerns and the service was phenomenal. The quality of the finished product and work far exceeded our expectations!

Very happy with this company. Their work was top notch and they took care of some sealing issues around a few windows that we thought we would have to do ourselves. The estimate was extremely close to the final price and the crew was courteous and friendly. Will definitely call them again for future projects.

I chose to hire Hedrick Construction to remove my rotted front overhang and replace it with a pergola. They started work 3 days after signing the contract, and it was completed 2 days later. Top notch work - it came out exactly how I had pictured it in my mind, and the cost was less than I expected. Shawn's firm resided and roofed my home in Urbandale 4 years ago and I was completely satisfied with the quality of materials and the workmanship. When we needed roof replacement from storm damage, Shawn and his team continually impressed us from start to finish! Before the shingles had even arrived to do the work, Shawn himself came out when it rained to seal any holes or gaps to prevent further damage to our roof!
Watching his team work was like watching a fine-tuned Swiss watch in action! They were fast and efficient and conscientious about every detail, from protecting the landscaping to safety and cleaning up. In one day, the roofing was done - they even had someone walk around the house with a large magnet to pick up any screws, nails and metal debris. From start to finish, we have been so impressed with this firm and the exceptional management.

We had our double detached garage re-shingled 8/9/16 by Hedrick Construction and they did a very good job for a very fair price. The men were experienced and professional, considerate of our requests, and hauled away all old shingles and materials. Great job in cleaning up. We are very satisfied with the results and wouldn't hesitate to use Hedrick again.

Several years ago,we called on Hedrick Construction to reside and reroof our home. They did an excellent job, so we called them again when we needed to fix some siding that was deteriorating due to a manufacturer's defect. Once again they came through ...on time, on budget and with high quality work from a personable and efficient crew. We will definitely use them again!

So, I found a bowed spot on my roof and needed to find someone to check it out and fix it fast. I called several company's. Hedrick Construction came by the next day and Shawn didn't leave until he explained what he could do and printed and handed me a quote right then and there (pretty cool). I ended up talking to other guys who either couldn't start for months or couldn't even come by and give me a quote for a week. Shawn knew my situation and bent over backwards to help us out. His level of professionalism was very, very impressive. I knew in advance when his team would arrive, what they needed, and when they would finish. His team arrived on time, finished early, and did an excellent job! They were at my house, did the whole roof, and left in 5.5hrs! Overall, Hedrick Construction did a phenomenal job.

We had Hedrick put a new roof on our flat 3 season porch roof along with new gutters, downspouts and debris reflectors. We have consistently had issues with rain not draining properly along the flat roof edge. The water cascades over the gutters and doesn't divert to the down spout. I contacted Shawn and he made it right by replacing all of the gutter and leaf guard. He also followed through with sending a person out to double check the work. Thanks for following through.

Worse company ever. Hedrick Construction Inc. Back in 2010, we needed a new roof. This company was so unprofessional. They came at 6am, turned on loud music and woke us up, we would leave to go to work and they were all smoking around the building.

We asked them to stop the smoking, but they didnt listen. Once the project was over, they left big truck track marks on our lawn that we had to re-sod, cigarette butts on our lawn and driveway, nails in the grass and on the driveway. They would take 3 hour lunches and 4 days to do the job.

We called them to come clean their mess, we asked them to fix our lawn, but never heard back from them. I had to get a ziplock back and collect all the butts and nails and mailed it off to them. They never called to apologize or anything. The worse company I have ever dealt with.

The good - my roof doesn't leak and I paid what was quoted.

The bad - I had several issues with the job, starting with them installing cheaper shingles than they quoted. I noticed when they had half of the roof on and so I called the owner. He insisted it was an honest mistake, and it very well may have been. Had I not been there and looked at the packaging, I would have had no way of knowing. He gave me a choice of a partial refund or re-doing it correctly. They had to come back a second day, which required an additional day of vacation to watch them tear off and replace with correct shingles.

The winter after the roof was put on, I had to call them back due to a 2" tall snow drift in the attic. His first response was something like "you'll have that in old farm houses like that." I sent him pictures and he then agreed that it was an unacceptable amount of snow. As it turns out, I could have stuck a pencil out the gap in the roof. They came out on a warm February day and re-worked the flashing details, again at no charge. Bottom line, I had to watch them like a hawk and there were several things that were done wrong, and in my opinion, completely unfitting of a "Platinum Preferred" contractor. They fixed it all, but overall it was an unpleasant experience.
