Hawkins Homes

Bought a townhome built by Hawkins Homes. They are very quick to respond to repairs needed around the home, usually next day. From my door knob needing replaced, to a leak in the sink, to my baseboard needing replaced. Very prompt service and well communicated. Specifically Javier this past time was very helpful and was at my home within 20 minutes of reaching out. Thankful for their service!

We relocated from out of state. The whole process went pretty smooth in purchasing our new home from Hawkins. They were very understanding that we were in need of a home fairly quick because we had just sold our home and needed another to call home soon. From day 1 their customer service & support has been very honorable. Any issues which were only a few were address rather quickly and resolved. Recently there was an issue, and Brian didn't waste no time in resolving the issue. Another reason why my wife and I are glad we chose Hawkin to build our home. Any questions or concerns, contact Amy," The go to Girl". She is your first steppingstone is getting the right person for any questions or concerns.

We are currently under contract to sell our home and during the inspection we were made aware of some of the issues that went unnoticed on our home. As the first owners of the home, I reached out to Hawkin Homes to address the concerns and was nervous what the response would be since I believe our home was out of the warranty period. After some back and forth with Amy, Jake and Mr. Hawkins himself, they were able to resolve and address the issues in such a swift manner! 10/10 highly recommend a home from Hawkin Homes. They are prompt, kind and quick to fix any issues!

Starting to have buyers remorse, wish my husband wasn’t overseas so he could deal with it.Im just tired of the excuses when I call, they come out but then they say nothing is wrong ‍♀️ I pray my floor doesn’t fall in!! Our home is only a year old, but we only been living here for 8 months

Great people when it comes to service and home building. After I mistakenly wrote a bad review for them. They showed me where to find the right builder of my home and their contact information. Overall, their homes look amazing and seem to be much more reliable than my current builder. They are very friendly people and they are very proud to provide the best service around.

Absolutely would NOT recommend. I will post a full 0 star review later but we are too busy repairing “poor construction” after only living in the house for 10 months. I wish I was joking. The house is only 2 years old. We also filed a complaint with the BBB, we gave Hawkins time to respond and to our knowledge they have yet to respond. Ms Amy we spoke previously after our first insurance claim and you told me that you could transfer me to the foreman but you “aren’t sure what that would do for me.” Yes we are very frustrated because this is a lot of MONEY and TIME and large problems keep occurring. So with that being said I will never recommend your company to ANYONE and I will NEVER give your company a good name period. Based on others we have spoken with and reviews we’ve seen we aren’t the only ones who have had this experience with Hawkins Homes. I normally only like to post 5 star reviews but I feel obligated to make buyers aware.

Beautifully designed, well crafted, quality built homes. The whole team has provided exceptional customer service throughout the whole process. Everyone was responsive, professional, and kind. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had during my home buying journey. Highly recommend!

The townhome that we bought is great. The design is great, the pantry in the kitchen and the extra large bedrooms are wonderful! Thank you for a wonderful home.

Mr. Robert was the project manager when my house was built and he is phenomenal! We had some minor issues with our kitchen sink and he responded quickly to eliminate our concerns. Anytime we had a question He would come out to assess, send someone out, and would follow up on to make sure we were satisfied with how things were. Mr. Robert was always kind and very professional. Our house was built strong and is beautiful and I am extremely thankful for him and his team on the job well done!

Been living in our home for almost 6 years now. When I bought it, a huge patch of grass was missing in the front yard. I thought well, it'll grow after some time, after all, it was a new property. As years went by, still no grass. So I finally decided today to check and see just why the grass never grew. As I was checking the ground with a shovel, I notice huge rocks and bricks had been left behind from construction. I mean huge 10 pound rocks were under the surface of the dirt which prevented the grass from growing. So I dug up the rocks and bricks , along with soda bottles that were left behind by construction workers. But hopefully after I replant some grass, by this time next year, I'll see some improvement, if any . So if you have a home built, make sure they don't leave huge rocks behind and cover them up with dirt when they're done. Your grass will never grow.

My daughter bought a house on Andean Ct. I am her father and I am very disappointed in the house. You can tell they through it up in a hurry. The Sheetrock work is horrible. You can see stews in all the walls and the finish sanding is horrible. The dunce outside is warping and everyone one of the fiancé post is cut off crooked and looks terrible. The fireplace mantle isn’t level. Some of the doors aren’t plumb and have big gaps at the top and very little at the bottom. A couple of them don’t latch you have to pull up on the door to latch it. Already have 2 big cracks in the ceiling. Some of the outlets are loss. And they are selling it and I have to fix all this stuff. Just make sure you do a good walk around and look at everything.

I WOULD NOT recommend this Builder.

This builder screwed over tons of home owners in the Eagles Bluff Community. Rex Hawkins and the Eagles bluff partnership and his realtors should be sued and charged with fraud concealment. Hawkins homes had property’s listed in this community “as no back yard neighbors” and majority of the home owners bought houses for that reason alone.

Home owners closed on homes and received plats of the home and property with no such disclosure of the NE connector road that would soon be built behind their homes. All while the builder Mr Hawkins still owned the land and had pre plans to sell the land in between and behind these property’s to the city in order to build the soon to be NE connector, and he did it for tax incentives and for personal business gains.

Mr Hawkins knowingly concealed the NE development plans in order to mislead home buyers and lure them into homes that he knew would have a major road going straight through a neighborhood.

No one in the Eagles Bluff Community respects or trust Hawkins.

PLEASE PLEASE save yourself a major financial loss and do not build with such a dishonest builder. A lot of us in this community haven’t been so fortunate and are now stuck in a very bad situation.

As someone who is active duty and was deployed during the entire build of my home, it was refreshing to find a company who genuinely cared about my wife and I as customers. Mrs. Kendra helped us design our home while my wife was states away. Our home is beautiful and the staff that had been in contact with me were helpful, professional, and kind. I'm glad Hawkins Homes made our first home buying experience a great one!

They destroyed our master bathroom by placing 8 drywall nails into the water piping by our master bathroom shower. They refused to fix the mistake they made and have cost me almost 8k out of pocket expenses due to the insurance not covering plumbing expenditures. Will never recommend their poor workmanship to anyone. Stay clear.

Me and my husband moved into our brand new Hawkins home March 2021 and we love it. Had all the features we were looking for in a home. We’ve had a couple issues that were covered by warranty but they have been very responsive and super helpful through all of it!! So glad we moved here

My wife and I have built two homes with Hawkins and have been thrilled with both! Working with them has always been easy and their process is easy as well. If you are new to the Clarksville area and want to build a home, definitely go with Hawkins! You will not be disappointed! The quality and options you get with them are unmatched in this area. As long as we are in Clarksville, and if we build again, we will absolutely go with Hawkins!

After months of hunting we finally found a home that met our family’s needs almost perfectly. We were very excited about buying our first Hawkins Home since they seem to be a good builder in Clarksville which now a days is a rarity. As we were writing our offer for full asking price our realtor informs us that their realtor mentioned they were thinking of increasing the price. Thinking this was just a tactic to try and pressure us to send an offer we were at the time unmoved since we were literally writing the offer. We submit it to have it sent back countered at almost 5k more. We were confused since we hadn’t asked for any upgrades or anything so we pulled the MLS listing back up and they had increased the price just under 10k more in the amount of time for us to fill out our offer and submit it. We recountered with our original price saying we offered a fair price of what they had it listed for that morning. It was returned with the statement “the seller is unwilling to budge on the sales price”.. It disgusted us that this seller, Hawkins Homes, is clearly only about money. If we had sent the same offer in 24 hours earlier would they have been satisfied with that full price offer, or would they have rushed to jack the price up then? This has clearly put a bad taste in our mouth about their business ethics and we will never purchase a Hawkins Home. I would prefer to do business with someone that greed isn’t their only motivation.

Hawkins Homes is the ONLY choice you want to make for a home builder. Every new home has some minor issues, but it's not a big deal because they respond immediately, and have someone out, in most cases, the same day!! They are awesome. Wish I could give 10 stars!

Very disappointed in the unresponsive staff even after calling multiple times and requesting to speak with a supervisor. We were told the cabnets we ordered were black, they installed them and they are dark brown. They were in NO way willing to work with us on fixing this. The tile place they use is a joke, they didn't have any of the 6 choices we picked so of course we had to pay to upgrade. They didn't have much of a selectiction and staff there was unwilling to help. Do not recommend and will NEVER by another Hawkins home.

BUYER BEWARE! extremely limited cheap selections, get to deal with Kendra who is the most disrespectful person I have ever interacted with. Things you’d assume would come standard are paid upgrades. The finish work is awful and what they cancelled our contract over without telling us. Took what was supposed to be a happy moment and made it terrible

Professional built homes, beautiful inside and out. The owners are great people whom have built a great team. They always go out of their way to make sure the job is done perfectly.

Dont waste your time! Everything on there pages are add ons, which means you have to pay out of pocket! Someone named a lady here that is rude and she is right! I'm glad I'm not buying and thank you for the heads up from the ppl that didnt buy or bought and are not happy. Thank you. Buyer beware. Not good business

We paid over a quarter of a million dollars for our new home. Beautiful floor plan. Bad subcontractors. Have only lived here for four months. Have already had people out three times to caulk tile, fix electric issues, work on doors that lock up on their own, repair cabinets/drawers in the kitchen. Had a lot of fun picking out my own tiles, cabinets, etc. But ended up with low quality paint that won't clean; the hall and kitchen lights hung in the wrong places, and various other small annoyances. BIG annoyance-in 2012 the Post Master declared that all new subdivisions have cluster boxes like at an apartment. We have a lovely, but useless mailbox. They don't warn new people that they won't get mail at their homes. We got no updates on when the cluster boxes would be installed, how to get a key, or if it would affect mailing addresses. The entire time we were waiting for the house to be built we were made to feel as if Hawkins was doing us a favor by building for us. I am worried about my home's future given the fact that we have already had so many requests for "fixes".

Pretty reasonable people who save where there can (same as anybody). My advice to anyone using this group is to itemize as much as possible in the contract. For example don’t assume the landscaping will be nice just because the comparables on your contract have a nice lawn. Here is our planter bed without a border or weed barrier. I don’t mind fixing it myself, it just sucks to pay for it twice. I think I’m also staining my own porch also. Just don’t assume like I did. Classic mistake. Also, my realtor wasn’t too familiar with the company so she couldn’t guide me well. Overall expensive but beautiful house.
Bottom line: if you care about it, itemize it on the contract.

My husband and I are very thankful for the entire Hawkins Homes team. Everyone is always attentive and very professional. It's evident that our project manager, Robert, takes pride in his work. He handles our request in a timely manner and ensures that we are always provided with quality service on our home.

Four years ago we contracted with Mr. Hawkins to build our custom home out in the Rossview area. We purchased plans on the internet and took the plans to Hawkins Homes. My wife and I sat down with Mr. Hawkins, went over the plans and agree on a price. Throughout the build, Mr. Hawkins and staff kept us in the loop, taking every precaution to build the home exactly the way we wanted. We added several upgrades to the plans in the beginning and all were met beyond our expectations. Our home is not only a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind in Clarksville that we are proud of, but here we are four years later and Hawkins Homes is STILL standing by their work, driving by our home occasionally to make sure all is well! I really wish I could post something great here. I know many people have had great experiences with hawkins homes and some not so great. I'm the latter. We've been living in our current home built by hawkins homes for 2 years and there are a lot of things I'm not happy with. My home is so cold in the winter. Our 1st years electric bill was well over 450.00 in a month. Our heating unit didn't cut it. In order to heat the house and keep cost low was to buy portable heaters to heat our bedrooms and we finally installed our gas tank for our fireplace. The coldest room was the one over the garage. It's like they put walls up and didn't insulate. I haven't got it inspected yet but intend to do so. I'll repost my findings when I do. My downstairs floors are also supper COLD in the winter and a cold draft comes in from the fire place. It's like... who opened the window? This was my 1st house. The paint they used was so cheap too. Bad quality for the price we had to pay and still paying. It's our fault for not getting our own home inspector. Word of advise to anyone buying a home. Fork up the extra cash and get a good home inspector before signing on any dotted line.

We love Hawkins Homes. They have taken such good care of us. They were helpful from start to finish. Kendra helped me make sure all the finishes we picked would look great and they do. Our home inspector said the construction is top notch. We are so pleased with our home and our neighborhood that I have several friends looking in our neighborhood. Hawkins always is quick to respond to any questions I may have and super helpful. Just can't say enough great things. Would buy from them again.

DO NOT USE HAWKINS HOMES TO BUILD YOUR HOME IN CLARKSVILLE TN. THE OWNERS WIFE KENDRA IS COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE. SHE AND I LITERALLY JUST GOT IN A YELLING MATCH IN MY FRONT YARD BC SHE WAS ACCUSING ME OF MAKING AN ACCUSATION WITHOUT LISTENING TO WHAT I WAS SAYING. ON TOP OF THAT, THEY MADE PROMISES THAT WERE NOT KEPT IN REGARDS TO OUR HOME TO FINISH OUT THE CLOSING PROCESS. THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THEM HAS BEEN SOMETHING I WOULD NEVER DO AGAIN AND THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND PROFESSIONALISM ON THE HOUSE IS SORELY LACKING AND WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
